We were a party of 4 and did not stay in the hotel where the restaurant was located. The food was excellent and the service was excellent. We were seated on time, did not feel rushed, enjoyed cocktails, appetizers, main course, and dessert which all were cooked to our satisfaction. Ben and Melissa attended to us and provided excellent service. The 2 things that prevent our group from giving 4 or 5 stars: 1. Valet parking is validated for restaurant guests, but self parking in the garage attached to the hotel is not validated. We would have used valet parking if someone had told us this when they confirmed the reservation or when we made the reservation. Because we didnt know it we spent $15 more on parking-its not a huge amount of money, but would have been nice to know. 2. The televisions at the bar were visible to us at our table which was located across the restaurant. When dining at a restaurant at this price point, I am not interested in having a television distract me from the enjoying the food, drink, or company. We will return to the restaurant to dine again and will use valet parking and will request a table in that is not within line of sight of the televisions.

Downtown Nashville has too many great options to waste one here. They missed it at every turn. On a playoff Predator game night they were way understaffed. The place was half full when we walked in but we had to wait 30 minutes because they were understaffed (did I mention there was a playoff game). The hostess was short with us (we were nice...in a great mood cause we were headed to a playoff game). While waiting on our table we went to the bar for a drink. We waited 15 minutes...the bartender never aknowledged us so we went to our table with no drink. Got seated an hour and 5 minutes before game time only to have our waiter inform us that they were slow and we might not see the beginning of the game. REALLY! We both ordered pizza knowing that would be quick. To their credit it was. However the pizza was not good. I mean takeout is better. And by the way, Ive eaten at bad restaurants before and this is my first time to take the time and leave a negative review.

Absolutely a wonderful restaurant!!! We just happen to pick it for dinner on Sunday, Oct. 2, 2016. The food was outstanding along with outstanding service. Melissa and Steven were excellent waiters and always available for questions and suggestions. All the staff was attentive without being overly attentive. It was a busy night (Beyoncé was in town for a concert) and the staff made you feel welcome and never rushed. We will definitely return the next time we are in Nashville.

Great atmosphere, convenient location. Server was friendly and attentive. We were 45 mins early for our reservation but they were able to seat us in about 10 mins. The manager was nice and eager to assist... and by eager I mean creepy. After leaving I received a text from him saying hed be happy to assist me during my stay and thanking me for coming in. Maybe Im missing something but me leaving a number for a reservation doesnt mean take my information and text me.

Had the Veal Milanese when Chef Michele Mazza was there, the dish was cooked to perfection and topped with a delightful arugula salad. It brought me memories of my hometown and a taste of Sunday Lunch al Fresco among family and friends. The Wine List has great Value for your buck, some bottles are Rare founds and yet very affordable. We noticed Gaja Sperss at a reduced price and we had Masi Amarone Costasera a 94 point wine - Simply Delicious.

I recently booked a reservation for our department Christmas luncheon. With a party of 27, its hard to get a location and menu that pleases everyone. However, April and her team at Trattoria Il Mulino made everyone feel at home in their beautiful restaurant. They fashioned a menu that everyone loved, particularly the salmon. Several commented it "melted in their mouths." Needless to say this years party was a hit. Thank you!

Had a wonderful time dining here for a girls night out! We decided to sit at the bar for a cocktail before our reservation time and ended up staying there for dinner. Derek and Trey were behind the bar and gave incredible service. We started with the garlic mussels and arugula salad, then had the fish special as my entrée. I recommend this restaurant for anyone who loves fantastic cocktails, food, and service!!!

Fantastic wedding anniversary experience! From the ricotta meatballs, to the veal chop milanese, to the chicken in crosta, all of the food was nothing short of superb! But most importantly, our server Ben and the rest of the staff went out of their way to cater to our 5 year old daughter, whos specially prepared fried shrimp made her feel like a princess! Thank you Trattoria Il Mulino for a memorable evening!!

Great server... But $30 for a Pasta that was undercooked and butterfly shrimp that was way over cooked and tough was not okay. The $10 flourless chocolate cake was dry and without ice cream or whipped cream, it tasted like a horrible cheap old frozen brownie. Would not recommend going here... Way too many awesome upscale options downtown with food worth the price.

From the moment we walked in for our reservation, to the moment we walked out the door, was the worst dining experience I can remember. I understand everyone can have an off night but this was just bad all around. We had poor service from our waiter and the kitchen found a way to mess up noodles.

We did a buyout of the restaurant for a corporate group of 125 people, and it was FABULOUS! Food, wine, cocktails, ambiance, and service was over the top! We opted for family-style meal service, and it was amazing. I highly recommend this gem of a restaurant for group or individual dining.

Amazing restaurant! I attended a company dinner here and it was wonderful. We had a group of 60 guests and everyone loved the food and the atmosphere. The Gnocchi was my favorite. Cant wait to come back with my family and sit on the patio!

The service was wonderful, from our server, Michelle, to the sommelier, to Chef Tom Cook (Dont you just love his name?), we--and our dietary restrictions--were pampered. Visiting Trattoria il Mulino was a highlight of our Nashville visit.

Maybe we went on a bad night but everything we had was incredibly salty. Tuna tar tar, pesto pasta with shrimp and black ink pasta with octopus. Had so much potential but overall not a good meal for the expensive price tag

Dined last night. Ambiance is impeccable. Great wine selection. Lamb and fettuccini were divine! Devin was a remarkable waitress unfortunately our party couldnt say the same about Jaimie. Well definitely be back!
