Top-tier service. Neighborhood vibe and feel. Delicious food. Knowledgable staff. I ate there with my wife and daughter and our dishes were a warm olive appetizer, chicken parmesan, vegetable alfredo and the fig and pig pizza. Least scrumptious was the appetizer. Recommended by the waitress, we found the dish good, interesting, but olives cant be better than they can be. These were soaked in oil, not brine (which I liked; my daughter didnt... I enjoyed fewer grams of sodium and fresher flavor and she longed for "saltiness."). Next was the chicken parmesan... delicious. Nothing revolutionary, except that the chicken was very good for a fried chicken breast. We were told the chickens were grown and harvested "locally." At any rate, it was as good as chicken parmesan gets. Simple, good balance of cheese and marinara. Again, this dish sort of has a cap, but this one was at the peak of the cap. The vegetable Alfredo was my wifes dish after she ordered a veggie pizza and was politely redirected by the waitress who told her that while the pizza was good, shed enjoy the Alfredo better. My wife was not dissatisfied. The vegetables were obviously cooked in the (rather visible when walking through the restaurant) wood fire oven and had the right char on them while still being not overcooked. It was absolutely delicious, accented with ultra-thin slices of freshly cooked garlic. Finally the fig and pig pizza was incredible. Topped with a mild, soft and delicious goat cheese and arugula, it was cooked in the wood fire oven and loaded with deliciousness. It was absolutely the best dish I ate in my four days in Nashville. We ate on the outdoor deck and took in the vibe of the neighborhood. Surprisingly to me, it was less frantic than more trendy area restaurants with lines wrapped around the building and one hour waits. Parking was also available. I am not sure why Pomodoro East is not one of the "trendy" places to eat, but I am pleased there werent long lines, long waits and a lack of available parking when I was there. Few restaurant meals Ive had offered the quality and service for the price as Pomodoro East served us.

Great place. Gotta go! Food is locally sourced and high quality. Great tasting dinner options. Havent eaten there for lunch. Predominantly Italian foods. Pizza is great and prepared in a wood fired oven. Reclaimed wood and cozy atmosphere. My wife and I looked into having our rehearsal dinner here and they are ready for those events but we ended up going with another. Great people. Great service. Good outdoor seating for fall and spring. Parking can be challenging on busy weekends. Great brunch. The cream donuts are amazing. Cant get them anywhere else in Nashville. Awesome mimosas and Bloody Mary bar. Beer selection is small but has good variety. Dessert options are few but pretty good. If youre looking for a place to go when other places are packed with long waits, this is a perfect back up. We no longer go to those places and just move straight here. Small waits when there happens to be. Definitely worth the extra drive into east Nashville. Our guests and we are always pleased.

This was probably one of the worst service experiences Ive had in Nashville so far. The food was amazing! But our waiter completely forgot us. My friends and I sat at the bar and the waiter walked by plenty of times. After bringing us our drinks and taking our dinner order, he failed to check back to see if we wanted another drink or needed anything. He brought us our food and then was MIA. It took us 30 min after finishing our meals to ask him for the check, then another 20 min or so for him to bring the check, and then he was gone for Id say 45 more min with our credit cards until the pizza prep guy noticed and asked someone else to help us. If this was his first day, I could forgive it. I know it was super busy. All of this wouldve been fine, had he apologized. But no, he just took our money without a word.

Be careful when ordering wine. We ordered a bottle of 2014 aviary cab. They delivered a bottle of 2013 aviary. When I brought this to their attention, the manager told me "they must have shipped me the wrong vintage". Ordering one year of a wine and being delivered a different year is like ordering pasta and getting pizza, its a totally different thing. They did not take the bottle back or comp it off our bill. This was clearly an attempt to move an older bottle that they were unable to sell. It is an unethical and offensive practice. Be cautious if you order wine at this restaurant. If you order by the glass, who knows what you are actually going to get. I enjoyed the food but unfortunately wont be returning as I clearly cant trust them.

Two words: STAY AWAY! When we walked in, to an empty restaurant might I add, we were told that they were unsure if they could seat us as we did not have reservations. The hostess said they expected more people later but she would go ahead and sit us. From the start we felt unwelcome and things did not get better as the night progressed. While our waitress was knowledgeable about the menu, she was pushy and overbearing which made us feel uncomfortable. The food was overpriced for such a low quality of food. The butternut squash and apple salad had little to no flavor. Overall, it was not a good experience. This was the first and last time we will be eating there. The only reason why I gave it two stars was for the decor and the knowledgeable waitress.

My date had very specific dietary restrictions and I noticed on their site that you can make note of any restrictions. Not only did they make note of my request, but they made something completely custom for her. The manager emphasized how important it was for them to ensure the integrity of the meal with the given restrictions and they excelled at doing so. They met our needs and I found it very impressive. The food was nothing less than excellent and the service from our waitress was exceptional. The restaurant has an all-around high quality atmosphere and is managed excellently. What a great experience!

From the moment I walked in until the moment I left two thumbs up. Bartender was friendly and patient going over drink specials, staff was attentive and speedy. Had the fried eggplant with goat cheese for appetizer and the bolognese and a side of asparagus for out meal. Between those items I and my dinner companion were filled and satisfied. The food was excellent and I now have a new favorite Italian dish. Sat outside on the deck and had a wonderful evening. Highly recommended but a little out of the way unless you are familiar with East Nashville but well worth the trip

The food is always excellent here and the presentation is just right each time. We had small plates and one entree. Pesto flatbread, crispy polenta and stuffed shells. The entree was braised oxtail for me and by the time I finished I was almost too full but didnt want to leave any of that delicious food. My companion, who is a bit finicky, also cleaned her plate. A memorable meal. Service was professional and knowledgeable. I was surprised that the dining room was almost deserted but it allowed us to linger over the meal.
