Went in at 7 PM on a Sunday night. First of all, the hostess made us wait for 10 minutes even though 25% of restaurant was open, and they werent on a wait. She was too busy organizing the menus and filling up the mints to seat us. They sat us at a table in the bar that was open when we walked in. It smelled like rotten fish there, so we asked to move to a different table. It wasnt just me who smelled it... my girlfriend said "whats that smell?" way before i did. We relocated to new table, and I thought all was well. The smell came back about 5 minutes after our food arrived. It seems that they were cooking something in the kitchen that had a horrible odor every time they cooked it. I lost my appetite after a few bites, and asked for the manager. He was nice and did comp my meal even though I insisted that he didnt need to (I worked in restaurants, and I hated people who would complain to get comped...I think if you have a bad experience you just shouldnt go back.) I told him that if fish smells bad, you probably shouldnt serve it. He insisted that they serve only fresh fish and that no one else has complained... which baffles me. On top of all that, the waiter had zero sense of urgency and was slow to do his job. I wont return, but your experience may be different. My chicken marsala was a 6 on a 10 point scale... and I would have finished it if I could get past that horrible smell.

Ive been to this restaurant twice in the past 6 months. After a pretty bad experience with the taste of food the first time around, I thought Id still give it a second try and taste something different. The first time we ordered the Cheese fritters and Artichoke Cheese dip for appetizers. The Cheese fritters came cooked, but cold, like theyve been prepared hours in advance. Because they were cold the cheese was very thick and just didnt taste great. The Artichoke dip was extremely salty, although they were still edible, but I just couldnt enjoy them. For the main course I had the Mac & Cheese which was average. On our second visit (a few month later) we did the mistake of ordering the Cheese Fritters again. They came the exact way they did the first time around, cold and unpleasant at all. For the main course I tried the Eggplant Parmesan. Let me say that this was the most unflavorful and awful Eggplant Parmesan Ive ever had in my life. I could not even force myself to eat my dish. Although the atmosphere of Amerigo is quite nice and the staff are friendly, but I will not be visiting Amerigo ever again, nor do I recommend anyone does.

Really disappointing that I have to leave a negative review as I go to Amerigos at least 6 times per year and have been a customer for a decade. Took a large group for a special occasion dinner and 4 of us ordered Sea Bass (150 dollars worth). My fish was excellent melt in your mouth Sea Bass. My mother claimed hers was Cod and I shrugged it off until I tried it myself. Not only was it not Sea Bass, but it was fishy and disgusting! She called them out on this at the restaurant and no one apologized. No managers came over. I felt like the server was offended by her even bringing this up. Thats too bad as the server was EXCELLENT throughout the night. I felt like management knew about this but shrugged it off. Its unfortunate because we will not be back as we run restaurants in my family and after spending 600+ dollars the management should have been all over the issue! We felt under appreciated and offended by the situation.

Party of 2. No reservations. Told there would be a 40 minute wait. After 1 hour, told we were at the top of the waiting list. A restaurant that cannot seat 2 people between 6 & 7 pm -- I do not understand. Large groups of 5 or more, that is understandable that they would wait a while without a reservation. Very disappointed. The staff at the front desk were not helpful & not concerned that we were waiting such a long time. And we werent the only frustrated people waiting that night. Management should review how walk-in customers are handled/served while seating those that have reservations. We left Amerigos. Went to another restaurant.

The most insipid picatta I have ever eaten, limp soggy pasta in a thin weak, slimy, tasteless chicken broth with a thin cutlet. The chicken was cooked well there was just no taste. Grabbed quick lunch on way to an appt, ate maybe three bites desperately searching for flavor. The server boxed it and tried again later at home to see if it were me, same tasteless slop, threw it into the trash. Service was terrible. I made the mistake of paying early and never got a refill of water. First and last visit to Amerigo

Weve enjoyed Amerigo for years, but our service a couple Sundays ago was above and beyond. We took our young children and our server kept us well supplied with drinks, quickly brought us our appetizer, and even rushed the kids orders to come out first, so we could get them started (and keep our baby happy). I dont expect special treatment for my kiddos, but I am very thankful when someone is kind enough to help us and our children have a great dining experience.

My first time at Amerigo and it was amazing! The Shrimp Scampi was exceedingly flavorful and the shrimp were not overcooked. The Marsala sauce was also especially tasty. My waitress Lydia was the Best server that I have had in years. There was no wait for water and fresh salad. In fact, everything came out quiclky, hot & fresh. But Lydia never rushed the meal. I was impressed and glad for the wide price range. I hope you enjoy it too!

Excellent foccacia bread and olive-herbed dipping oil. Filet with rosemary gorgon gorgonzola($30) is a winner everytime, as is Leos pasta with the addition of fire-grilled chicken($15). Black linen napkin, but do not dress unless you would like to, shorts are just fine, but look nice in what you wear, conservative style atmosphere but not stuffy at all. Very consistent restaurant with very professional, friendly servers and bar staff.

This was back in the summer time of 2016. Im not dining here ever again when I got my food the Tuscan ribeye it was chared or charboiled burnt, I could not even eat that and the fries along with it were very very crunchy they were really crunchy I could not even eat those fries. And the food was cold also was not even warm or hot like my food has been sitting there cold. This was my second but last visit to this restaurant.

The food is ok, and the service was great. The staff was friendly, well versed in the menu offerings and very quick. The hot chicken alfredo was very good. The lunch special with a half salad and half pizza was a decent amount of food. The cesear salad was "eh". The chicken pesto pizza was ok. Over all decent place for lunch, but Id recommend getting there early because by 12 they were getting pretty full.
