Im a 45 year old man, Italian and German, from Chicago Heights. This was my first time here and this place is absolutely fabulous! The restaurant is in a beautiful old home likely built around the turn of the century. It makes for a very elegant dining experience. The meal started with the BEST bread/olive oil/parmesan appetizer I have EVER had - hands down. Didnt know it could taste that good before this experience. And, they use their own Olive Oil which definitely plays into the equation. The whole roasted garlic bulb for the great price of $4 was amazing. What a way to get those taste buds active before an incredible meal. We had the White Pizza appetizer ($9 - great price), and the 14oz pork chop with maple syrup and crispy bacon glaze ($24 - pricey but totally worth it!). The pizza was very very good, and the only reason I dont say excellent is because I am a new to Neopolitan pizzas and am not familiar enough with them yet to say whether one is excellent or not but either way, it was great. The pork chop was not only the best pork chop I have ever had in the way of quality, tenderness and juiciness, but, the flavor from that glaze made it one of the best food items I have EVER tasted in my LIFE! Truly unbelievable, and it was at that moment that I said to myself that I would now have to return to this restaurant and basically go through every item on the menu since I knew now that even foods I otherwise wouldnt eat could wind up being a favorite of mine here (Im not even big on pork chops!). The lasagna will be my next target. The vegetable medley that was served (broccoli, cauliflower, potato chunks, and a few other veggies) had a flavor that I have never experienced in my life. I have no idea what they did to make this unreal combination of veggie flavor but it rivaled what the glaze did to an already perfect pork chop. I would have that as a side with every dinner, every day, for the rest of my life if I had the chance. The meal literally had me trying to decide what amazing flavored food item to take for the next bite - every bite! I was so anxious to re-taste every single flavor that it made this problem a wonderful one to deal with indeed! This has never happened to me before but the next day I woke up, thought about whats for dinner tonight, and the only thing I could think of was going back to Lucrezia for dinner again! The waitstaff was very helpful, courteous, and available throughout the dinner, and the diners appeared to be well-dressed and in the middle- to older- age crowd. So, in summary, I recommend this place like no other, as the chef is obviously spectacular, and look forward to going back, almost daily.

**Make sure you read Yelp where the people seem to be more honest than these shifty reviews on Google - especially check the "not recommended" section! The service has been awful for well over a year now. Stay away!!** The food is good - but expensive... my review is about their staff though... My husband and I received a giftcard from out-of-town family members for a date night out since we dont get many. We got a babysitter and went, only to be sat without menus or any attention for 10-15minutes. We decided to go sit inside, perhaps to get a different server who could attend to us when the outside server stomped in asking where we thought we were going. After that, I decided we should spend our rare night out some place else, despite having a giftcard here. I called to speak to a manager as we left and I heard "here is that f-ing phone call from that b-----" when they went to retrieve a manager. I also got to hear the server explain it to whatever supervisor it was using even more expletives and speaking poorly about me. Once the manager got on the phone, I told them I could hear EVERYTHING that was said and it was absolutely absurd he allows the business to run that way - poor staff or not, you should have stopped his mouth once it began. He got an attitude but said that yes, he would allow me to get cash for my gift card because I will NEVER be back there. We went back to the restaurant and got into a heated exchange with this so-called supervisor as I told him how unprofessional he and his staff were and how Ill be contacting management. We went elsewhere and had a wonderful time. I suggest you do the same.

Came for dinner , party of 3 at around 6 on a Monday night. We sat outside on the porch, nice evening . The bus person was great ! Bread right away , water, oil , 5 min later a server . Had to wait awhile for bottle of wine, even longer for a wine bucket, had to ask twice for one, food was ok, we have never seen bread pudding like this one, looked and tasted different. St the end waitress sitting with Im guessing was mgr., tasting wines at a table across from us. This was a first for me. Well find another place for Italian.

A beautiful Victorian home which has been renovated into a fine Italian restaurant. Not only is the nostalgic ambiance a draw; the food is always excellent, and the staff is well trained. We love sitting outside on the garden patio for a late lunch, or just iced tea and a selection of their wonderful appetizers...Simply the Best, most relaxing way to catch up with friends on a summer afternoon!

Three of us went for lunch ..... it was great! Stuffed chicken, lasagna, and a pasta seafood dish (forgot the name) - all were worth the trip! Our waiter, Keefe, took great care of us. He answered all our questions, made suggestions and put up with our bad jokes! Have only been there a few times and it was a nice experience every time.

Called to make reservations for a party of 8...was told the restaurant does not take reservations. When asked what time we planned to come in, was told to come an hour and a half earlier or an hour and a half later if we would like to be seated in a timely manner. This is poor practice for a business. We will be dining elsewhere.

Awesome staff! They were on top of everything so well and the food was amazing. Some unique dishes that my fiance and I both loved. Definitely recommend the salmon pasta dish. Dont remember the exact name, but it was awesome.

30 minute wait for a glass of white wine, 1 hr. wait for food. Warm white wine, cold pasta, not worth it. Service less than impressive. This has long been a favorite dining spot but not sure we will chance it again.

So many good dishes here! I love the stuffed chicken, Chicken Piccata and the Meat Lasagna! I had my wedding rehearsal dinner in the second floor of the restaurant and it was very intimate.

Food is excellent. The servers are really friendly. Ample parking space. The only bad thing was there was a very loud bread cutter in the area where i sat. That was kinda annoying.
