Service is lacking we had Joy last week and as 1st time guest we were impressed. I sent my pork chop back b/c it tasted burnt to US, like it had been dropped in charcoal and poorly rinsed, it was also tough to chew and Im 28(nice teeth). Joy got a bit smart saying "well it is Char-broiled and its been sitting for a while" Now the menu is vague so it doesnt even say fried or grilled and Im not sure how cold something gets connects to the burnt taste. She even got frustrated when I let her know it was still on ticket instead of the new items I ordered. I decided to take it from her tip, but my Overzealous friend handed her everything b4 my deductions, oh well so now I will write in. Despite all this we were please, especially since my friend knows she ran the server and was difficult. We were both servers so we tip well and are very understanding. I have learned to not over-tip and avoid trying to provide excuses, especially in bad service. I was there maybe 3hours and watched the female manager talk to every table except ours. (I wont disclose race, but maybe it was how young I look). We moved tables from inside to patio and still nothing. On one occasion she was pre-budding and asked by that helpfully zealous friend of mine, if she needed help. That said she definitely saw us. Back to positive the Creamecake is to die for. The steep price per slice is well worth it, PLus its big! Red beans and rice had authentic spice(I had to add sugar, b/c I cant take the heat) AND The MeXican corn bread Oh My Great Goley Gosh! Incomparably different and overall killed. It looks weird and nothing like cornbread really in shape but fear not you will love it!!?

I had a very unpleasant experience here this evening. I parked my vehicle in their lot and got out of the car to track down my girlfriend, who had parked a block away unaware of their large amount of available parking at McCabe (it was our first time to this establishment and we were both unfamiliar with the area). Upon leaving the lot to track down my girlfriend, I was approached by an elderly gentlemen who was extremely rude and abrasive, telling me to "dont even think about parking here," pointing out the signs that stated that the lot was for McCabe customers only. He said he was "trying to save [my] dumb ass $170." He had assumed I was going to park my car and go to an establishment other than McCabe. Our intention was to give McCabe our business tonight after I tracked down my girlfriend who was less than a block away, but I told him that after his behavior I would take my business elsewhere. He replied: "Good. Well be fine without you, dont worry." Its unreal to me that McCabe would have this guy be the face of their business, the first person I interacted with upon arriving. His verbal attack was totally unprovoked, disrespectful, and downright ridiculous. Had he simply asked me kindly if I was planning to eat at McCabe this could have all been avoided, but after this experience, I cannot recommend that anyone go to this hostile establishment.

This is not the same pub- the owners have passed the torch to kids - they have increased prices and decreased value of food and service! Not to mention the fat disco era bartender goes low brain and uses profanity at customers- It was a favorite local spot- not anymore ! Your better off remembering how it was and dining at another local spot ! They are clearly not about the customer here, really sad to see the kids run it in the ground - try another spot where they still value good the customers experience!

One of my very favorite local hangouts. Its like our own little Cheers pub. Never overly crowded, the food is always good and always consistent. I highly recommend the Hamburger Steak with some cheese toast. All in all: a great, little Nashville secret. One of the best! As a side note, I truly dont understand the negative reviews. Ive taken many out of town guests here and they all have enjoyed the food and atmosphere.

Such a under-rated place. This is like ma and pas supper club and its just perfect. I hope this place stays around and doesnt sell out and become another hipster place. I love my hipster places too but this one is unique in a growing area. Ive had their meatloaf and burgers and theyre tasty. The drinks are not unreasonably priced. Check it out!

I came her to watch a preds game in a location that wasnt over crowded. I had a whiskey ginger and some wings, which were both better than expected. The drink was expensive, but wings were a decent value. The bartender was friendly and attentive. Overall, I liked it and will be back.

Its like youre taking a step back into the late 1980s. Lots of wood panel walls. Service was good. Food was...interesting. Definitely not where the young professionals hang out. Seemed to be an older crowd of regulars.

Good pub experience, but lacking any draft beer. Theyve only recently added a few, but still a great atmosphere. Food is not amazing but very good. Local favorite in the sylvan area.
