Decor: 2/5 Southern rustic. The concrete floors and brick made the style border on industrial, but there was some charm in the wall posters and trinkets. Aptly named The Brick. Service: 4/5 Pleasant waitress. The woman who seated us was prompt, kind and attentive: would have been perfect save for the heavy perfume. Cost: 3/5. Average for a deli. Presentation: 2/5. The portions were small and the bread so wimpy it barely held in the sandwich together. I might have been better off with a fork but I finished the half off in three bites. The limp pickle on the side and plates reminded me of a school cafeteria. Sandwich: 2/5 Ho hum. Ive had better deli sandwiches at Publix. The Daves Philly had uncooked mushrooms and onions and the meat tasted like it had been pickled. The Thompson Kraut was loaded with enough mayo and overpowered with kraut to completely mask any taste of the turkey that I think was on the sandwich? Soup: 2/5 Store bought? I dont know if The Brick uses prepackaged ingredients, but the "La La" soup tasted like it. I think there were two bites of chicken in the entire cup and what I got was more chili than enchilada soup. The Loaded Potato soup was better, but not by much. I do not understand why this deli is regarded so well. Maybe I had a rogue experience? Maybe people come for the brew? Whatever the case Ive had better sandwiches at grocery stores and better soups at chain restaurants.

I live close to Ardmore Tn and its a drive. WORTH EVERY MILE. I stumbled in there one afternoon waiting for traffic court and WOW. The food was ***** and the staff are off the hook. I now make excuses to go to Decatur which I dont like BECAUSE OF TRAFFIC COURT. LOL but the food and the vibes and the people in this place make it worth the drive. I didnt know they closed early on Mon/Tues (LOSING BUSINESS PEOPLE !!) and was sorely disappointed one day while in Decatur.

During the day, its a great, friendly, place to grab a delicious sandwich and a pint. My favorite is the Smoky Joe. Best beer menu in town, bar none. At night, its a great place to hear a band, just dont plan on having a conversation with anyone while the band is playing. The patio is nice. One of the best places in town!!!!

Amazing sandwiches! This deli should be on Decaturs best food list..if there is one. The "SMOKY JOE" is my favorite, with a bowl of loaded potatoe soup and potatoe salad. This is a must, if you passi g through or are lookimg for a nice meal!! They also have live music. Very cozy feeling inside.

Had the special with a 1/2 sandwich and soup. Both the Reuben and the beer cheese soup were good enough to make me want to go back even though the service was slow. To be fair though, they were swamped because it was prime time on Friday night during the 3rd Friday Car Show.

The food was great. I had the veggie sandwich, which looked odd, being in a pita, but was very tasty. I went with the potato salad, which was a fine side. The staff was friendly, fast, and considerate, which was nice as it was a work lunch. Definitely want to go back.

The staff has not changed in years, and theyre fantastic. The draft beer selection is stellar and the sandwiches and soups are yummy. Live, local music is a great touch. This bar is quite large, with a patio out back. My favorite place in Decatur.

Went on St. Patricks day. Had the spicey roast beef sandwich and potato salad. Servers were festive and the food was fine. Has the old downtown look covered. Easy parking in the area. At lunch a several people had small children and it was fine.

Go to this place is your looking for a place to eat in decatur. Good craft beer, plenty of TVs, and plenty of seating. A small stage for a bamd at nights too. The food is simple sandwhiches with salads or soups, chips and a pickle.
