Im from the Northeast so forgive this review based on my experiences coming from a better food Culture. I come from another world when it comes to food, so some Nashville native folks may love it here, but if youre from a major city up north (or places like Tarpon Springs in Tampa) or even places internationally known for its food culture (Or if youre a world traveler), this place will disappoint like many southern restaurants tend to do. They charge a lot for mediocre diner Greek food, and most of It doesnt come with a side. The Gyros and souvlaki are highly priced and inferior compared to what Ive had in Greek restaurants in other cities, and they dont even come with a side of fries or a Greek salad without a high charge. (If you buy a wrap, it comes with nothing ...plus a side of fries is almost $3.00 which were soggy and NOT worth the extra money because the feta and oregano were hardly apparent on them, besides the fact that they werent crispy) I found out after-the-fact that Guy Fieri was here on "Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives". I cant help but assume that Guy knows what cities do food the best, and Nashville is NOT one of those cities (which are fightin words unless you know better)...yet, I imagine you could be interested in this place if you dont know better because youve never had quality Greek, or have never been to Greece. If youre comparing Greek food in Nashville, than assume its the best....However, Im REALLY burned out on fake and inaccurate reviews down here and the disappointment/dissatisfaction that follows, so Im doing a service to other people in my situation. If youre spoiled because you know amazing authentic Greek food, than just remember that before you come here so youre not disappointed. The food isnt bad, but its not going to exceed your expectations unless they are already lowered.....and get ready to pay high prices for Diner food, unless you dont expect anything with it. I mean they charge almost $6.00 for a very mediocre "mini Greek salad" that has bad reviews from other people. (Mini doesnt equate to "side salad") Thats silly and bad business in my opinion. And for the record, I NEVER review places on this unless I feel VERY upset/disappointed or VERY pleased. (I tend to be too laid back to be upset enough to leave any negativity behind but Im tired of wasting my money and time) And this review is not from a disgruntled customer/employee, or a friend of a competitor. Im just epically tired of trying new places in a new city, and being chronically disappointed. Feels like Im chronically wasting money at this point. This review is for the other transplants from superior food cities looking for hope, and looking for food that was comparably good to what they are used to. This isnt that place... and once you are warned what you are getting here, then this place will meet your expectations and you will enjoy it.....After all, I doubt Guy Fieri would go to a place that didnt do something right.... ;-) (Also, dont quote me on prices, but they dont have the prices on their website menu for a reason)

Well, I was not at all impressed at all with this place despite it being featured on Diners, Drive-ins & Dives. The worst Gyros I have ever had. Very over priced for the tiny portion size. The meat was sliced paper thin and I only had like 6 slivers of it on my plate. It didnt even look like normal gyros. Looked like sliced processed meat product like spam, only colored like gyro meat. My wife got a burger and fries (she doesnt like Greek food) and both were horrible. Burger was unseasoned and tasteless and her fries were so hard and burned that they were less edible than the 3 month old McDonalds fries that dropped under the seat in my car. My daughter, who loves Greek food agreed that it was not good to her at all. Her Chicken Souvlaki was not seasoned (like my wifes burger) and she found a dirty-blonde kinky hair (honestly looked like a pubic hair) in her food. She too had the fries that were so overcooked, there was no potato left in them, only a dark brown, leathery shell of what might have been a fry once. Everything about it indicated to me that they use the cheapest ingredients they could possibly find. The place was also heavily infested with flies that kept landing on our table and food. Service was slow and I heard multiple people complaining about their orders wrong, etc. I am not sure how this place has gotten so many good reviews? To be honest, we all left hungry and had to go somewhere else to get full. My family and I will stick to our regular place in LaVergne (Mixed Grill Gyros). It is much cheaper in price for HUGE portions and I get more than enough high quality food in my order to satisfy me and still have some left over.

The waitress was very nice and that is about where it ended. When we first sat down we were shocked at some of the prices for bacon and eggs. Reluctently, we ordered expecting the quality to be above average considering the cost. Our bacon came out cold, the toast was stale, the coffee tasted very strange. The eggs were decent but certainly didnt live up to the price tag. Never order the stuffed french toast, as it is basically 2 pieces of frech toast with a straight off the block chunk of philly cream cheese and nasty thick strawberry syrup... it was disgusting. When we mentioned this to the manager he joked about it and didnt offer to take anything off the ticket. All in all, we consider the $22 the 2 of us spent on breakfast a total waste. Avoid this place at all costs.

So I came here with two friends from work, and we were sat down immediately. The place smelled of a strong fresh fish flavor for some reason, which wasnt bad or good, just different. Anyway, after some debate, we ordered, each of us getting something for ourselves and also two additional entrees to share for all to try. ...45 minutes pass, and we finally get our food. Guess why? Waiter forgot to put in the order (he said so when he brought us our checks). I got a gyro sandwich, since I was hoping to have some of the shared entrees, but the waiter also apparently misunderstood our order, and completely forgot those. Seriously? Its pretty disappointing, because the food was pretty good, but not worth this terrible service.

I ate here for the first time with my mother and everything was great! I am not a fan of greek food (others ive eaten have been greasy and gives me heart burn) but I must say the greek platter was very delicious, so far then next day I havent had heart burn and it didnt taste greasy! The service was great and our order was taken within minutes of arriving, the wait on the food to be brought to us was not long. I forgot her name but the one that took pur order was curteous, great customer service and attentive. For a Tuesday night it was pretty full and Im glad I didnt have to wait a long time to receive the food. My mother also enjoyed the food. I plan on returning in the near future to try a different dish.

Nestled in the body of what I believe was an old Captain Ds sits Athens, which totally has whatever food you need to forget the night you had before. Dont be scared if you see a Guy Fieri stencil on the wall. I think theyve washed the place well enough to get any diseases he might have left out of it. I generally go with the omelettes and have some of my wifes messacantfigureoutthespelling (eggplant jelly like substance,) but everything is good here. Its good for drunks stumbling across the street at night, and its good for kids when there arent the living dead from the ML Rose scarfing down fatty hangover cures.
