Terrible service. The only positive thing I can say is the food was good. There was four in our party and we were promptly seated, but it was 10 minutes before our server came to ask what we wanted to drink. Another 10 minutes passed before she brought drinks but she still did not want to take our orders. That finally happened about 25 minutes after seating and she didnt seem too enthused about having to pay attention to what we were requesting. Another 45 minutes go by before our food finally appears, which was brought by another server who basically set the food on our table and left, no silverware. I had to go track that down from the counter. Other tables that had the same server also seemed to be experiencing the same problem, while other servers had multiple tables come in, eat and leave while we were there. Its been a long time since I left a penny tip.

10/1/2011. Terribly slow service. Breakfast omlette took 30 min & we were sitting at the counter. Others came in after us & were finished before our food arrived. Observed other meals sitting on the ledge for long periods of time waiting fir waitress pickup - a few were returned to the kitchen - must have been too cold. Omlette wasnt great - contained burned sausage bits. Counter area is grimey. Old bad oil smell that permeated the restaurant made me want to go home & change my clothes to get rid if the smell. This was the 2nd time in 3 years that weve been to this diner. We had hoped the place had improved after the 1st time. The experience isnt worth repeating a 3rd time.

Went there for lunch on a Sunday when Chumleys was closed. It has a nice nostalgic/quaint feeling. Service was fine, prices were fine. I got the fried chicken special, which had one trip to the salad and soup bar, a roll, green beans, mashed potatoes, and a wing and two thighs. The chicken itself was ho-hum, but the mashed potatoes were great. All of this was about 6 bucks with tax. I used cash as there was a $1.75 charge for ATM. There were clearly regulars, which might be appealing if youre a townie. Overall, a nice change of pace from the bustle of on campus food.

Its great because it opens about the time were leaving the bars, and its just a quick walk down the street. The food is good and has that home-made taste to it, and its not really that expensive depending on what you get. The staff really has character, as well as the diner itself. I definitely give this place an average rating though due to the annoyance that is their atm. They have this really old atm thing set up that charges you $2 to use but they run it like a debt/credit machine on their cash register. Its sort of confusing and really inconvenient.

THEY'RE TRYING TO KILL PEOPLE!!!
Shake-n-Bake is better than they're chicken and fish! The chicken was cold in middle & the frost-bitten-fish had the layer crusted onto it. The fries were mushy & the mashed potatoes were stiff with a grease layer atop the gravy pooled in the center of the taters.
We had to get hiy the BrewCo. after that! The waitress at BrewCo.said at Sunrise Diner you're supposed to order the Biscuits & Gravy. We just don't think we can go back though after our experience.

Family owned and operated. The owner is one of the friendlist folks youll ever meet. But, you better eat your green beans or shell turn into your mother. Lol. Food was excellent. Went on a Sunday and had the fried chicken dinner. Some of the best fried chicken I have ever had. Prices on menu were dirt cheap. All the waitresses are her daughters and theres no charge for the extra Sass that they all give you. They make you feel right at home, like youve known them for years. Will definitely be back every time im in the area.

I went to Sunrise once, for lunch. If you want a nice, cheap, good lunch, you wont get it here. The place looks dirty and everything is shabby. I tried the "meatloaf." I use quotes because there was nothing recognizable about it. The taste was awful. There wasnt much on the salad bar. The vegetables were badly overcooked. I would never serve anyone a meal like that.

I love it! Get a #6 for breakfast. You get choice of meat,I always get bacon 6 slices! Choice of fried potatoes, hash browns, or American Fries...the latter is the best. 2 eggs anyway you want them. Your choice of toast,English muffins, biscuit, etc... Heres the topper 2 plate size pancakes or half order of Bs & Bs. Biscuits and gravy if you didnt know.

Stopped in for breakfast this week. Food was not bad at all. Interior could use an update but for a small diner I didnt mind. However it is 2016 and they dont accept credit cards. If you want to ise your card you have to withdraw cash from your account like and atm which will inccur you a 1.75$ transaction fee. Seriously?

The food was ok but the wait staff was really loud and talking about personal matters in a way that made me uncomfortable. The restaurant itself is quite dirty, which calls into question the cleanliness of the kitchen. There is only an atm, no debit-credit machine, so get ready for an atm-fee if you dont have cash on you.

Its a diner. The food is greasy and delicious, the wait staff tolerates you, but they probably dont like you. The atmosphere conveys "Eh, who cares?" Its as clean as it needs to be. Its glorious. Go there. Get yourself a huge pile of artery-clogging breakfast food, and enjoy life for once. Bring cash.

Two of us went into the diner at 5 of noon, we were seated after about 5 min and our drinks came quickly. Our food came in over an hour after placing our order. Their excuse was that two large orders were placed before ours. Several people left while we were seated.

This is a really popular local spot, if you cant tell from the line out the door on weekend mornings. The food is good and cheap, the service is quick and friendly, and if you dont mind the smoky atmosphere, this may become your favorite small-town breakfast place.

This place is the last of the old greasy spoons, and I like it. I like hearing the local banter, the local stuff on the walls, the cheap breakfast food and decent coffee. I dont need McDonalds cheap breakfast, and we will all cry when places like this are gone.

Cute place and atmosphere but the food was just not good. I thought it was add to mess up a breakfast, but for exampl, our muffin came in a plastic wrapper and the eggs were lukewarm. Friendl waitress, cute building, but didnt satisfy that breakfast need at all

Been there a couple times and got a total of 4 items. Who serves Miracle Whip on a burger? All of them were substandard at best. Service was friendly, but a little slow. Also, $1.50 service charge for using a card. Will probably never go again.

Me significant other loves this place. I think their alright. The pricing is great but the food is just ok. Its great if you dont have time to cook but other than that nothing super special. Also their cash only with an ATM inside.
