China House is my favorite chinese restaurant in Memphis, however NO longer. They have changed everything. You must order at the counter like youre at a fast food restaurant, and they bring everything to you in styrofoam. Food has really gone downhill as well. Its just not the same China House Ive been going to for years. Theyve also gotten rid of all of their help. They had one of the best waiters in Memphis, Tony. If anyone knows where hes working at now, PLEASE let me know! Ive been going here for nearly 10 years but Ill never go back again. The management really messed up.

This is the best kept secret in Memphis. A friend took me to China House in 1998. It has been my go to Chinese in Memphis ever since. I will drive across town to get to this place. The food is ALWAYS good and hot. The staff is very friendly and courteous. I have eaten here over 100 times and it has never disappointed. If you like it hot, be sure to say extra spicy. Plain old spicy is not very hot.

Just drove 30 mins out from downtown to east memphis.. to get this food. Ive been eating here since I was a kid.. I hadnt had it in years because we moved out of the area and since Im 18 and now driving. I was able to get it.. and boy was it good. Worth the drive and more. I shouldve doubled up on the food. but their portion is very large for their price.

I love the food (shrimp fried rice w/ extra shrimp is my fav) and customer service here! This business recently closed a few months ago for construction and I thought I was going to lose it... it is very hard to find good Chinese rice in Memphis and I am very particular from where I order from. I am so glad they are back open for business!

To be honest I can not see how someone can say this is excellent Chinese food. Buffet Chinese is a lot better and buffet Chinese is nasty. The expectation for proper asian food in memphis is really low. There are a few places that are good. A few. But this is not one of them. Oh btw. My fried rice was sitting in a pool of gease. Yeah Nasty.

Ive been going to China House for over 15 years. They have the best Chinese food in Memphis and at the best prices. They changed their setup so you order at the counter. I dont like that but the same great food is there so I still go. Love China House Noodle Soup. Its outstanding and prices are wonderful.

Place was recommended by a local, cant say I was that impressed. Its reliable, which is a good quality for a Chinese Food establishment but its not "other-worldly" as it was described. Run-of-the-mill Chinese joint. Try for yourself, maybe youll enjoy it more!

I prefer not to eat at the restaurant due to carpet floors.. my thing.. but as far as the food you get for the price! Amazing! Don't expect the highest quality food, but do expect great tasting food, lots of it, and good service.( I do carry out)
