I work in the area so I gave it a whirl. A good whirl. After my 5th time eating there, I vowed Id never do it again. The service is poor and Id rate it a 1/5. Theyre not very friendly and seem to hate their jobs when you go in to pick up food. Its as if your presence is "inconveniencing them." They obviously dont get that without customers, theyre out of the job. Either that, or theyre just lazy. You have to ask every time for a fork and napkins... sometimes theyre feeling generous and put it in the bag for you, sometimes theyre feeling lazy and tell you to get it yourself. Sorry, but am I expected to eat this sesame chicken with my hands? Which brings me to the food. Id rate it a 3/5 at best. Rice is dry. Chicken tastes like it has feathers or fingernails in it and leaves you with some gross heartburn. The one thing I did like about the chicken is its very Americanized... the farthest from authentic Ive had in any Chinese restaurant... which was kind of to my taste. The way they box their food is terrible though. Theyre not "on the go" friendly at all. You get chicken loaded into a box, and then a small to-go box with your rice so if you wish to combine the two and you dont have a plate readily available, be prepared to make a mess. They portions are generous for the price though. 2 out of 5 stars is a generous rating I say. Put some care into your business, and try a little harder not to despise your customers. Im always smiling, friendly, and I tip a dollar plus change which is hardly a small tip for someone to throw your food in a bag and ask if you want sauce. Also, their open sign is usually off and the place always looks closed 2+ hours prior to the actual closing time, as if theyre trying to drive people away. This place reeks of laziness and bitterness. Ive been a cook for 8 years. Get a grip. Quick reply to the guy below that said it was too expensive though: $10 for a pound of chicken and a half pound of rice is not expensive. Either a cheapskate or has never worked in the restaurant industry. The portions are extremely generous for the price.

I have made two orders in the past two days from a neighborhood inside Keesler AFB (Late evening meals). In both cases my food arrived in a timely manner, 45 minutes as estimated for me . The food was still very hot, and also delicious. So far Ive only ordered the beef fried rice and Bourbon chicken (I usually use these items to gauge the skill of a Chinese restaurant, since theyre fairly simple), and both have been exceptional among the many other Chinese takeouts Ive had in other states. The portions are decent, amounts youd normally encounter from Chinese takeout, and theyve provided me with soy sauce and utensils every time so far. The female on the phone was polite and easy to communicate with, and the delivery boy was very capable in delivering on time. After eating at a few other Chinese restaurants, the Bamboo Chinese restaurant especially, Id have to score this a 3 and would only recommend it if you want something delivered near or on the Air Force base. I may order more things from them in the future and may edit this review if necessary.

FYI: I only put 1 star because I had to. I thought this was the worst Chinese food Ive ever had. However, the service was ok. I love Bourbon chicken and was excited to have it delivered....well, it was horrible and took over an hour!!!!! Since when is Bourbon chikcen like stir fry?! I honestly feel sick to my stomach right now and its been 3 hours since i ate it. NEVER AGAIN.....

I have visited this restaurant many times. I am always impressed by the cleanliness, friendliness, accuracy, freshness and deliciousness of the food. I have to say the cost is reasonable in comparison to the quality and quantity of the amount of the food that you receive. I highly recommend this place of business, and I will continue to frequent this restaurant.

Never never never never never never Ever Again!!!!!!Food was Dry.My 2 year old love Chinese Food but three his all on the floor.the Food was plentiful but was dry on top of that i tipped two fillers help in already paying for the gas included in Delivery but all I could get back was a Filler cause he had no damn change like really!!!!Never Again....!!!!!!!

Do not buy food from this place to-go/dinner time. The food is alright, but the price for what you get is absurd. They give very small portions of rice and dishes. It was over $40 dollars for barely a single bag of containers... what a joke. Their lunch buffet is alright, but overall I will never go back.

Food pretty good. Delivery was not that great to base for as close as it is. It took an hour and a half in a thursday. I recommend take out or in house. Orange chicken is outstanding and so is crab rangoon. Fried rice not that great either. Overall decent for outside if base place.

Workers are not friendly, food is not very good, and the delivery takes way too long. I ordered a few items for delivery waited a long time to find out they missed counted my order and when I called to let them know they were rude and told me I was mistaken. Will not order again.

Ive dined here many times since they opened and have always found the food and service to be very good. Lunch buffet is available most days and always delicious with a good selection. Never tried the delivery service but the portions when ordering take-out will fill you up!

Honestly probably the best Chinese buffet Ive had. The chicken is great in every flavor, the rice is good. Theyve got the standard fare plus breaded catfish, chicken and strawberry wantons. Prices arent bad. I eat there at least once a week!

Worker just wiped drink machine counter, tables and chairs, and then wiped the spigot of the soy sauce jar thats sitting on the tabletop with the same cloth. Completely off putting, and disgusting.
