Healthy, vibrant local establishment in what seems to be the downtown area of Kingsport. Was driving through 81N and took a detour of <15mins to arrive here. Easy to find and plenty of parking make it a comfortable arrival, and as soon as you walk inside you see why theyre so well rated. We arrived for an early lunch and all the seats in house were already taken, but we secured a table for 4 within minutes. My family ordered variations of their vegetarian options with the superfood salad as our sides. Overall, great decision to detour. Our waitress was not fully knowledgeable about ingredients, but she was kind enough to double-check. The service was expedient and our food arrived promptly. Was not thrilled with their Iced Latte. No worries, food was good.

Had a gift certificate that had been given to wife for 30 dollars. Had been to restraunt before, good food. Tried to use gift certificate but they wanted a receipt from when it was purchased but since it was a gift we did not have one. The guy I was dealing with I think was the owners son. he apoligized because apparently they keep no record of what they sale. He would not take the gift certificate without the receipt. So we paid for the meal. We waited on owner but he never showed up.This has been a year or so ago. Wife told friend that give her the gift certificate but she did not keep receipt. Very poor way to do business. I sure havent been back. If you run a business, keep records, be organized and treat people right!!!!!!!

Everything was great except I ordered a ceasar salad and when the salad came she asked me if I wanted dressing?? I was completely confused, really on a ceasar? I asked her about the proper dressing should be mixed with the salad in a cold bowl with an anchovie added and she said "we do dont do that"...Then she brought me a cup of dressing that I had to mix into my salad? This was really disappointing. This is basic ceasar, not sure if I would go back if they are this clueless, but everything else was great!

Cute restaurant. Great food. EXTREMELY POORLY MANAGED!! Today, we waited exactly 1 hour for our food (salads). Finally, I asked the manager what was going on after I saw 3 different tables who were seated well AFTER us receive their food first. VERY UNORGANIZED AND SLOW PLACE. This has been my experience the past couple of visits here and it is really unfortunate because it really has great potential. : (

I adore this restaurant. Great food. Smaller (actually reasonable) portions so I never leave hungry but also never miserable. I like the ambiance of the cafe. It can get really busy around lunch time but I am just glad theyre getting the business. My only complaint would be that the windows looking in are so dark I am never sure if they are open and I dont know what their hours are.

Phenomenal experience. The tea (I got peach and my wife got blackberry) was very very good, I ordered the tomato basil soup and a smoked turkey and provolone panini and my wife ordered the tomato pie and a salad. The food was exceptional. With the great experience we had, we will most definitely be going back.

Great food, nice atmosphere. Can take a little bit but worth it. The Reuben is great. Service is pretty slow but they have signs stating that it may take some time as everything is made fresh. I recommend it, but not if you are in a rush.

I always try to support locally owned businesses and The Mustard See Cafe is truly a gem. Amazing food, really good prices, and a friendly downhome staff. If your near Kingsport you must try them. You wont be disappointed.

Fantastic food. I love the little muffins!!! Seating isnt great, especially if you get stuck in the back hallway near the bathrooms. Service is a little slow sometimes, but the food is definitely worth it.
