Have gone here twice and do not plan to go back. The first time I got some dish that had chicken, spaghetti, and eggplant parmesan. It was okay, not stellar, but okay. My dining companion got the Baked Manicotti and said it was good. Not excellent, but good. My dinner came with a side salad, and this salad was good. We also got an appetizer - the Fried Zucchini Sticks. This is a really good appetizer and is served with a lemony Tzatziki-type sauce. The second time I went, I got Chicken Scarpariello. I ordered it without mushrooms, but it came with mushrooms anyways. Luckily there were only like 4 small pieces of mushrooms. (I did mention to the server that it came with mushrooms despite my request to not include them. He apologized but made no attempt to correct the issue.) The Italian sausage that came with it was absolutely horrid. It was insanely over-seasoned with fennel, and it also had some other weird flavor that, of the 4 of us at the table, no one could identify. The color and texture were also wrong for Italian sausage. It was almost as if they had gotten some sort of country sausage and gone crazy with the fennel to try and turn it into Italian sausage. The baked spaghetti that came with my dish was good. My other dining companions this time got the Baked Spaghetti a la Gondolier, the Baked Spinach Ravioli, and the Tour of Italy. The person who got the Tour of Italy described it as "cardboard with sauce." The other two people said their dishes were good but not great. We also got the Fried Zucchini Sticks, which were again delicious. Both times we went, we were served complimentary breadsticks with marinara sauce. The breadsticks are mediocre, and the marinara sauce is just not good. It has a spiciness and kind of murky, flat flavor to it that are not enjoyable. In conclusion, if you want a delicious appetizer, the Fried Zucchini Sticks are really a great choice. However, I dont recommend anything else.

What is the old saying "3rd time is a charm". Well it has not been for me. 1st time: found plastic wrap in my daughter (7 years old) food, big enough if she had swallowed, she would have been in danger. 2nd time: Ordered pizza, smelled spoiled, so I didnt eat and took it home because I thought I was just nervous about eating there again. Nope, my husband would not even eat it, said it smelled awful to him and ask if I thought so. Today, was eating my spaghetti and there is a piece of metal in it. NO MORE GONDOLIER for this gal. On the 1st visit the young manager was not very concerned, I told her in a quiet manner so the rest of the customers could not hear me it was very crowded and I could have made it known but I didnt. Because of her lack of concern I wish I would have.

Had terrible service, our server was very unkept and very unattentive. She asked if we wanted bread but we didnt received it until after we had finished our salads literally seconds before our food came out. All the while we watched as serveral other tables recieved their bread and our server sang happy birthday to a table nearby. Once it came time for refills our server told my husband that they had to change out the Pepsi (which from experience takes seconds) and she made him change his drink. After that we never saw her again, no to go box offering or even a ticket. So we made our way up to pay and she stood there while someone rang us up and didnt once care to offer us a ticket. The food was as usual great but if she is to be our server again I will ask for someone else.

The food is pricey, but miles better than many other restaurants in the area. The restaurant is clean, and the service has always been great. We had a plate with something dried on it that the dishwasher missed, but it only happened once. I used to wash dishes in high school, and I know how easy it can be to miss something that small when youre trying to clean hundreds of plates, bowls, cups, and silverware when the place is busy. Overall the food is always good, the service has been great, and the portions are big enough to where I always need a carryout box. One of my favs in Dayton.

The food is usually good and the service but lately theyre slipping. Every plate at our table and our silverware is dirty. Makes me wonder how clean they are. We eat there still but not as often. I feel I must be honest even though I like this restaurants food very much.

Food wasnt that good. Bought jar sauce taste better than this stuff they use. The Italian sausage tasted funny too. The 2nd (&last) time I went we waited so long to even order a drink that we walked out. Mediocre food and horrible service. Not returning

The food is good, though pricey for what you get. The waiters and waitresses are friendly. You usually will have to wait before being seated. At times it can be rather rowdy when the college students come in.

The best place to eat in Dayton TN. The tour of Italy is excellent. I have eaten here many times, and it has always been great. They serve beer and have the best looking deserts I have ever seen. A +

I loved this place great food. They use to have cooks that cared about there cooking but the last time I went the food tasted like it was boxed food didnt taste right.
