One star is too many. I live in the area too and how anyone can rate Toscanos Pizza and Grill in Athens good is beyond me. It says the pizza is homemade New York Style Pizza. DONT THINK SO.. I know New York Pizza and this was nothing like NY style and was one of the worst pizzas I have ever tasted. Crust way too hard, lacked sauce and toppings and just plain gross. The only good thing about the pizza was the free 2 liter bottle of soda. What a joke. Also got an order of chicken wings that were so over cooked it was like chewing on shoe leather and they barely had any sauce on them. Bottom line...dont waste your money. Very disappointing. The wait time was ridiculous, the atmosphere is a joke and the food sucks.

As a waitress at this restaurant, I can honestly say the food is delicious and unlike anything else you can get in this area. The food is homemade. We roll the dough every night, the spaghetti sauce and pizza sauce are made my hand, the cheese is shredded in store, and the vegetables are fresh. NOT FROZEN. I understand that sometimes we make mistakes or orders take a while to make, but nobody is perfect and sometimes we get slammed which causes delays on deliveries and pick ups. I can guarantee that if you were to try one of everything on the menu, there would be AT LEAST one dish that you like. Please dont give our establishment a bad review just because you didnt like a specific dish. (:

My fiancé lives in Athens and I live two hours away. Every time I visit him we have to go to Toscanos. The food is excellent. Philly cheese steak sandwich is the best. Fiancé gets the grilled chicken sub. Ive also had the lobster ravioli which is excellent. The bacon cheese fries are something we get each time we go. The service is good. Our regular waitress knows our drink order without asking. Plus, the two of us always eat for under $20, so his wallet is happy!

food is good tasting, but if anyone seen how this place was ran from the inside out this place would seriously be shutdown, I was previously working there and no joke they have ROACHES!!! And not to mention most of the employees cut major corners. If I was a health inspector they wouldnt be in Athens anymore. No bs all honesty.

The place itself isnt that great bc theres only six tables and very small. If the place was bigger, itd make a lot more money, bc the food and service was MAGNIFICENT. Very impressive bruachetta appetizer is the best thing Ive had in my life. And the small caliber are big enough to feed two people. I was very impressed.

I only get delivery from this place. Had several styles of pizza, excellent. Salads are great. Like the ravioli and stuffed shells. Delivery drivers are excellent also. I always try i give them 20-25%. Delivery charge is reasonable as compared to that other corporate chain in town.

I work there I eat there all the time for those that say its not ny yes it is everything is hand made...I love the place in we are all like family even our coustmers are too I give it a five star bc thats what it is!!!

If youre hungry, the potions are awesome! Ive been a customer of theirs for a couple of months now, and the food is great! It is much better than the Gondoliers. Very authentic sauce!
