Typically I love this place. Ive eaten here a lot. They always have adequate seating and no waiting for your food. However, I was there last week with my family and some extended family. We never got a "check", but was told it would be at the front counter when we left. My sister-in-law and I went up to pay. I went first. The girl that rang me up charged me one amount, which I paid, and then walked away and waited for my sister-in-law to pay. I went back up because I was going to get change to leave a tip on the table. When I went up there the manager, Linda, was there. She said "you need to pay more!" I said, "I already paid." She then YELLED at me and told me I needed to pay more. Apparently the girl that originally rang me up did not include the 10% gratuity charge when there are 8 or more guests. I began questioning her because I could not fully understand her since she is not American. She yelled something in what I can assume is Chinese, or whatever her language is. She then yelled at the girl that rang me up. When I say she was yelling, Im talking about the ENTIRETY of the guests in Hibachi Grill could hear her. My sister-in-law and I were looking at each other, like, "HOLY CRAP". Linda slammed her hands down on the counter and continued yelling. I have no idea what she was saying. It was abominable, shocking, and embarrassing. I paid my "extra" for the gratuity and walked away. Linda was the MOST UNPROFESSIONAL manager I have ever experienced. Not only was she rude, but most of the food that night was either overcooked, or mushy. Apparently WAY past its expiration date. And last but not least, when I ate there over a year ago a cockroach crawled out of my seat in one of the booths near the restroom area. YUCK!!

I didnt like the food or experience here. Food seemed old. Shrimp dried out or tasted mealy (mushy). "Salt and pepper shrimp" couldnt get the shell off. Some foods I couldnt even stick my fork into (old and or over-cooked). Ice cream... Many flavors were gone and they seemed to be making zero effort to restock them. There was this really annoying alarm coming from a large refrigerator near the fresh hibachi items. I asked several people to acknowledge the alarm, but no one but the owner speaks English. They wound up sending me to the owner behind the register who said they were working on it and offered to seat us elsewhere. Which we did but the noise was still noticeable. When it came time to leave the owner asked me how I liked it. I told her the above and she said all the food is replaced at 4pm and I should come then (we attended 6-7pm). No effort was made to offer a discount or free return trip. Needless to say this is my last trip at this place and my 16 year old son agreed as well. The food/environment was not very good here and the people seems clueless about it.

If there was a way to put 0 stars I would. This was absolutely the worst customer service we have ever had. From when we entered the building to when we left. The greater yawned in my face while trying to speak to me and when we asked her to repeat herself she got attitude with me. When we were finally seated (which is a whole other rant...tables were so close that we were basically sharing tables with strangers.) the waitress brought us our drinks and tossed the silverware and straws on the table and walked away. The silverware was dirty and I was unable to tell anyone that bc she never came back except to take my plate that I still had food on I was eating and she took my fork and sat it on the table. When I went to tell her no dont take it she was to busy speaking in what ever language she speaks in to her friend. When we went to complain to the manager we were met with the same attitude and all she was worried about was that we were complaining and slowing her down no apology for the bad service we had nothing. Save yourself the trouble and money and dont go.

The place looks nice! Host took us to our seat the waitress asked what we wanted to drink. We proceeded to get our food and our drinks were there when we return but they were flat. So we waited for our waitress to come back to the table as we tried the food that we found to be cold and tasted like it had been out for a while. Now me, wife and my daughter decide to leave and as we walked to the register that is when the waitress showed up to bring us a ticket. My wife went to explain the problem as I was paying but manager did not even think of giving a discount or something for poor service. Would not tell anyone to go here and eat. If anyone thinks they have good food should really consider eating at another one similar to this one and you will find that it is not what you think it is.

If I could place a negative score for their score I would. My family and I went there to eat last night. We stood waiting on a greeter for 5 minutes. Once we got a table and gave our drink orders we all went in different directions for food. I went to the ladys room to wash my hands and there was a dirty rag laying on the sink. The hibachi chef was placing food in his mouth while walking up to take our orders. Chewing as he listens!!!! Getting food from the bar was another disaster! The food was cold, dry, and some of it was stale but if that wasnt the deal breaker for my family and I. My Husband saw a ROACH crawling around the bar on the rail by the food and when he showed my son, even my son noticed a ROACH crawling on the floor. YES!! roaches. We left. Never will we return.

A lot of other people seem to like this place so maybe I just came in a bad day but I thought most of the food was a bit on the cold side and didnt taste very fresh. My wife and I were planning to go to the place on Woodruff because we had been there before and really liked it but choose this location instead because it was closer to our home. It definitely doesnt compare to the Hibachi grill and buffet on Woodruff Rd. Their food is much better and there is much morning selection. Also, the upholstery was wearing off about 30% of the chairs and the carpet was a bit frayed. Definitely not a deal breaker for me if the food is good but for some it might be. On the positive side the waiters were all friendly and did a good job.

Been a loyal customer for over a year, usually going at least once a week because its 7 dollars between 2-4 & so close to my house. We went today & they were really slow. The manager came over & told us to leave because we had been there too long. I turned around and there was literally NOBODY in our section. I will never go back again. The sushi is good for the price, but the food is exactly what youd expect...7 dollar buffet food. Oh and cracked open my fortune cookie before we left and there were black specks covering the inside of the cookie. And no, Im not making this up because I had a bad visit, there was mold inside of the fortune cookie.
