The only Golden Corral, I have visited is in Palatka, Fl. and I was always pleased. I decided to try the eatery on 98 North in Lakeland, Fl. on 7-19-2013. I found the entire buffet, except the salad area, unkempt and the dessert area was by far, the worst. I lost my appetite when I saw the ice cream machine. The tray that is installed to catch the ice cream, that misses the dish, was so full of chocolate and vanilla liquid, that it was over flowing onto the floor, and being caught by a towel placed by a staff member. The only selection for the customers to choose from, was a mess of cake crumbs, almost empty pie pan and broken cookies. The containers of hot fudge, caramel etc. had leaked all over the table. I arrived at 4 pm, expecting everything to be fresh and clean. So disappointed with the rolls that used to be brought to your table fresh and hot. An employee dropped her card on my table, and she did not return. I am amazed that this place always seems to be busy, when I pass it in my car.

My husband and I went for dinner because he loves the place. While waiting in line to pay the girls behind the register were eyeballing my husband like he should be on the dessert bar but Im use to that. When we got to the register to pay the girl asks me if Im a senior, Im nowhere near their senior age of 60!! Said it with a very caddy smirk on her face, said they have to ask. She didnt ask my husband, just me. We will never go back to this location all because of an inconsiderate girl named Azimi. Nothing wrong with tree food but damn if Ill deal with people like that!

The meatloaf looked like something the dog left in the yard. I asked the cooks to change it and they said in about 10 minutes. Thirty minutes later, no meatloaf. I asked the manager and 20 minutes later, no meatloaf. Went to the restroom, I cant describe what I saw. I have no idea how this place passes a health department inspection. Shameful, disgusting, third world class hog trough. Sane people should never eat here and I never will again.

Well....food is absolutely horrible. About the only good food there is the food you dont have to cook. Im not a huge food expert but when the fish tasted like the side of a ship and the steak tasted a if it was set in the heat of day for awhile, somethings wrong. The bathrooms were on the verge of a cry for help. The waitress came to my table twice maybe in a hour and a half. However, I did not get food poisoning so thats good.

My daughter & I went last Saturday morning around 10:30 a.m. for breakfast and I worried about long lines, but we walked right up, ordered, found a table and were eating right away. I ordered a special made omelet just like I like it & that anywhere else would be an charge extra for what is the norm for them. On our visit it was clean & the staff was courteous. Reasonable prices for their large buffet.

This was the first time my wife and I have been there and we loved it the people that works there was very nice AAAAAAA and we had a very good lunch and we will be going back there and the ladys that works there love getting to know the people who are coming there all the time my wife and I love that its like a family get together keep up the great service and food see you all real soon

The service was absolutely AWFUL. The servers were very unfriendly and our server Debbie tossed our half & half on the table when we asked for coffee,repeatedly reached across our plates to take away a dirty plate and when we were due a refill it was also slammed down on the table . No one you smiled at would smile back.... We will never be back

Absolutely terrible, as soon as I walked in the place smelled like someone defecated,the food tasted like salt,the cake was stale and my poor little sister got food poisoning which ruined our trip to legoland (UPDATE) it was confirmed that everyone in my family got food poisoning even my 14 month old son, AVOID THIS PLACE!!!

Never ate here before, didnt realize it was a communal food trough for the obese, the food was ok and the staff was very friendly. The patrons however were disgusting hogs shoveling food in, we sat next to one couple the man was normal size, however his girlfriend was very overweight and smelled awful....

Went at 7p not too crowded. Everything appeared fresh. The frequency of food items needing replenishment could use an increase. Summer tacos were good and spicy too! Pecan pie, icecream were good and chocolate fountain was a nice surprise. Cakes/ pies need a revamp on recipes (all dry/ lacking taste)

Very disappointed. I had to get my car service at 7:30am. I was hungry but was unable to stop and get breakfast. I got really excited when I saw Golden Corral across the street. The on the out side said everyday sunrise breakfast 7:30am but they really dont open until 8:30am Monday through Friday.

Had dinner with my grand children they like it I am not to fond of it because the food is never hot just luke warm or cold I got the baby back ribs and it like it just came out of the fridge the fish was fried to hard the only hot food they have is the fried chicken

This place is a good place to eat at with family or for those who have a good timing relationship with that special some one ...... Its also a good place to make a reservation for a kids bday party for those that cant stand the hot boiling sun for a park typical day

Food was pretty good until I walked towards the bathroom there was a roach by the door and the bathroom was nasty and they had just opened! On the plus side Barbara was our waitress and she was super nice

Not only was the food under cooked or over cooked the staff was rude. Demanded a refund after taking a couple bites of our first plate, got it, left and went somewhere else for dinner. Never going back!!!

They should really update their website that says Open Till 10pm, door says 9:30pm..But Locked Up at 9:20pm...drove from Orlando on our way to Plant City. Could have just eaten in Orlando if wed known!!!!

Good variety just need to clean the place up a little. Staff was nice but they talked too much personal stuff with each other I did not need to hear their business or personal life
