I have eaten at this rest. for many years, even before the present owner took over. I had the most horrible experience there Friday (13Mar15) by being asked to leave because I was there longer than the 2 hour time limit that is now imposed on all customers going there. I ran into a person I had not seen in 20 years and was talking to them about old times. The rest. was busy but never full, as I counted 5 tables that were open and empty for other customers to use. The owner had the waitress come lie to me that they needed the table, when there were other tables ( 5 and a booth that I could see) open. Then the owner came and was clearing the table next to me, and I thanked him for a good place to eat, him never saying anything to me about leaving or a time limit. I think he must have been having a backbone/spine issue. He had the waitress come back and lie to me again, using the excuse of a full, crowded rest. and needing the table. When leaving I went to the register to talk to him and there was no one waiting to be seated, only a group of 5 or 6 just paying, and 3 more just coming in the door.I did not see the sign in the register area that said 2 hour time limit. In my entire life I have never seen a time limit imposed on customers at any rest. or buffet. I am asking all future patrons of this business to boycott it and eat at a respectful, good, hometown place like Snellgroves on 39 just south of the RR tracks, Buddy Freddys, Freddys, etc.. There food is better and you can stay as long as you want. The privately owned Golden Corral in Zephyrhills puts the Plant City buffet to shame with the quality of food and friendliness. I now would rate this unfriendly establishment with a -0.

I would like to have eaten here, but their lunch pricing ends at 330pm (unlike most buffets that end at 4pm) and I walked in at literally 331pm. I mentioned that I was 1 minute late and the hostess asked me for $11.24 (dinner buffet w/ water to drink). Since it looked from the outside and lobby like a place that has no business charging that much I walked right back out the door. Which is sad because I never serve myself more than Ill eat and I tip well. So went to Asian buffet up the street (still on lunch pricing), had a fair meal, total bill was $7.25, I tipped $3, and left happy. Win win for them. This place will remain what they are.

The place is old and musty it needs remodeling as soon as possible and some lights inside cause its like eating in a cave. Dont even get me started on he food, if its something fried youre going to eat its very much possible its over fried. Another problem I had was that a worker never brought me beverages or utensils untill I called her for the second time. The only reason why Im giving this a 2 star out of 5 is because the greeter at the front door was genuinely nice. Besides that I would recommend this unless they fix the problems I mentioned.

I was nervous because my grandfather picked the restaurant and his taste in food isnt that great, but I was completely wrong! When I go to a buffet I check for 3 things: macaroni and cheese, shrimp, and sweet tea. The macaroni and cheese was okay, the sweet tea was good, and the Shrimp was STEAMED and FRIED!! IT WAS DELICIOUS!! I gave it four stars because those are the only foods I ate. I had one chocolate chip cookie, but it was horrible. The shrimp were 5 stars alone though! My waitress was also polite and on point for everything.

Huge selection of good food. Not a fancy place but you cant eat fancy. Food is good and plentiful. Prices are reasonable. They are refilling the food bar constantly. Rarely do you see any empty pans. They do have a large number of people eating there. At times you may have to wait. Servers are always looking to get whatever you desire. Better servers than a lot of places. A good deal for good food.

Awesome Food, our family went last night and yes the decor is outdated but who cares you go there to eat not check out the chairs and decor, we loved it everything was good home cooked food everything you could think of to make at home they got it and its delicious! The staff super nice and attentive we will deff go back again. Oh..and the price is great way cheaper then golden corral and better food!!

Good was good but the serving staff sucked we were sitting enjoying our meal and a very rude lady came over to our table and said that if we wanted dessert we need to get it now or we could not have it we paid full price for the meal so Im thinking this included the dessert. Well people like that are very rude and they need to be more polite when thinking there going to get a tip ya not from me.

The food,staff,&friendly atmosphere was great. I mean they had all the southern comfort food i love. Even a cold seafood bar. Plenty of options on the salad bar. The staff was very friendly &inviting. The only thing was our table was set but dirty when we went to sit down. But they had no problem cleaning it. Im definitely coming back. Food was really really good.

This is a great place. We visit this wonderful home style cooking just about every week. There is so much food to choose from and my favorite is the way they do their roast beef, its absolutely delicious ! The service is good and the atmosphere, is very pleasant. If youre looking for a special place, I highly recommend Plant City Homestyle Buffet.

Absolutely fabulous. Food was amazing and the waitress were on top of everything from drinks to getting finished plates. I would definitely recommend anyone to come here if they want a home cooked meal without having to do dishes. I would absolutely go back no questions ask best buffet Ive ever been to and great prices

Ive had the pleasure of eating here 6 or so times. Every time has been a great meal. Great variety, always fresh. The salad bar alone makes a superb meal! The wait staff is friendly, personable and attentive. When is the last time youve seen that in a buffet setting. Best buffet value in the Tampa Bay area imho.

It was good the first few times we went. They now do not cook steak & other meats until they are done. They leave them very rare. When you tell them about it I was told that is how they cook their meat now and they wouldnt cook it thoroughly even after I asked. They are going to be a cause of food poisoning.

Great display of hot veggies, fresh salads and cut fruit, carved roast beef, chicken 4 different ways including really tasty fried. I never made it to the huge dessert display. One complaint is that nothing was salted - at all - nothing. As long as there is s salt shaker handy it was pretty good food.

My husband and I love to eat at Freds. We went there today and there was a long wait time so we decided to try Plant City Buffet. The only thing good on the buffet is the chicken. Dessert bar was not good either. Inside looked dirty also. Next time we want a buffet we will go back to Freds.
