Ok so first time to Myrtle Beach.. so many seafood buffets in town to choose from. Mixed reviews all across the board. So wasnt sure where to go and we bit the bullet and went here.we are so glad we did. I will tell you we travel ALOT.. and hit up all you can eat crab when we can. The food ranks right up there with some of the more upscale restraunts. More of a casual dining experience lots of items all really good. But the crab was FRESH. All the food was fresh. Customer service was fantastic. Never wanted for anything. Plates cleared immediatly never a empty dish on buffet. Cold seafood bar with things i had never seen at other seafood rest. Kate was our waitress and she was very friendly like someone i would want to know. Refreshing since we found most of the service people in this area ans that we have encountered on this trip were rude. Also great desert bar. I will be back on next trip. Very clean.

I kept hearing recomendations to goto "calabash" for seafood. Well I guess Im just a dumb midwesterner for not realizing that wasnt a particular restaurant name, rather a generic label. So, we ended up here. Everything was simply breaded and deep fried until it all tasted the same. All four of us ordered buffets and we also got an order of crab legs. The legs werent bad but nothing special. We got the early bird special and still ended up spending $61 for awful buffet food. To top it all off... as Im paying my tab at the front... THREE MARSHALLS walked in demanding to know where the kitchen was to ARREST SOMEONE. As soon as I heard that I told my wife to get the kids out of there! We were all pretty disappointed at our only "seafood" dinner at Myrtle Beach. Avoid it like the plague. Chic-Filet was a much better deal across the street!!!

This restaurant is not worth the money they charge. I walked in looking for a price for the buffet and I sat down still questioning the price. The waitress didnt come to our table until after we decided to head to the buffet because how long they were taking... then was told that it cost $27 per adult, $14.99 for my 8 year old, and $5.99 for my 5 year old. I was appalled... my family didnt want the crab legs but wasnt given the option to not be charged for that portion of the cost. The cod fish, flounder fish, and fried chicken was dry. The food was not stocked. I like the mussels and mashed potatoes... THATS IT. The crab legs werent good enough to go back for seconds. It is not a good restaurant. The reviews on here have to be people getting paid to make it seem like the restaurant is better than it actual is. Shame on them!

Ive had better "seafood" at Long John Silver. This place wants to charge the same price as other calabash style restaurants in Myrtle Beach but skips on the quality of both food and server training. They prey on the high turnover of tourists and dont seem to care that what they are offering is an embarrassment. I now see why the restaurant was "dead" when we went. Instead of spending money printing all those "flyers" in hotels offering $3 and $5 off depending on how early you eat they should invest in buying quality meats, proper training for both their cooks and servers, and some original recipes for their "dessert" bar. If you eat here after ignoring all the negative reviews (like I unfortunately did) you deserve to blow $100 plus dollars on "seafood" that belongs in a fast food joint...

Run dont walk out of this place. Would have given no stars if I could. They give you no prices until half youre party is at the buffet then tell you 31.99 for adults and 14.99 for kids under 12 and 2.79 for drinks. The food was nasty and they didnt refill you have to ask for food (since when do you have to ask for food at a buffet): the fried food was over cooked and bland. They finally bought some food 6 pieces of chicken and 7 mozzarella sticks. They stocked the crabs but it was soft and not well seasoned and all seafood was bland and sitting in a tray of water on buffet I assume to help keep it warm which left it dried out. Dont get me started on the desert **Be warned dont sit down or ask to see the food before deciding to dine and ask for prices at the door.

My family and I were very disappointed in this restaurant. The service from our waitress was fine. The food however not so good. We were the first customers when they opened and had the whole buffet to ourselves. When we sat down to eat we noticed none of our food was hot. It wasnt even very warm. The fish was very tough and tasteless. I was excited to see huge scallops on the buffet but when I tried them they had a rubbery texture with no flavor. My nine year old daughter didnt even want dessert because she saw flies flying around and landing on the trays. We were also very disappointed in our bill because they gave us a different price when we were seated. I would not recommend eating at this restaurant.

I cant believe this spread here its so good the best stuffed mushrooms I ever had. Ribeye and sirlion, peppered steak. Crab, 3 different mussels, clams, oyster, calamari,5 fishs, fresh fruit, big chicken fingers everything I mentioned I ate and was really good the steak was a little more cooked then I like but my motto is put it on a plate and walk it through the room and its done. My girlfriend loved the cheesecake and to top it off plenty of stuff for kids to eat. I might have to come back tomorrow before I leave. Last thing my waitress was really good at clearing my plates I loved it here

The food was increadbly OLD and the only mistake we made while we were on vacation. Yes all the coupon books tind to make this place look great by offering discounts, but dont be fooled. The shrimp was either so over done or under done that there was goo coming from the middle of them. The clam strips were so chewy that it would have been better to eat cardboard that had been deep fried and left out for a week. And the desserts were old, stale, and tasted like they were made from a box, only worse than anything we have ever had. SKIP IT!!!!!

Well Be Back! Good food at a bargain price when you compare it to others around the area. Great service too! Our server immediately asked how old the children were and told us they would get the child rate. She refilled our tea twice while we ate and asked how everything was. A meager 15 percent gratuity is included in your bill, which I thought was too low! The selection isnt like the big boys, but there are items the kids WILL eat. And it all tastes good. For a family of 4 adults and two children at around 100 bucks, Im not complaining! :-)

-This buffet was over priced even with $5 off before 6pm. -The service was decent (for a buffet) -The food was subpar -It seemed as if they were only steaming a dozen crab legs at a time. -Some of the food on the buffet seemed old -There was water leaking from the ceiling -There was mold on the ceiling tiles and when I requested to speaking with a manager the waitress never went to get him/her. In a nutshell Ill NEVER revisit this place. Cpt. George or the Giant Crab will remain my Myrtle Beach favs.
