Before I begin, here is some context on our arrangement: With a group of 10 people including a child, we opted for the buffet as opposed to the menu. Firstly, I want to address the staff themselves. They did a good job, and the waitresses did as they needed to, and were nice and attentive most of the time(I will give them leeway considering how busy it is there). I will say however, as a warning and a reason for one star being taken away, is that the waiting staff seemed to be all Russian, and their English is sometimes not the best. We did not run into any real problems apart from awkwardness from her not understanding something a party member said joking around with her, but I know that someone may have trouble either understanding one of them or talking with one of them, especially those ordering off the menu. Proceed with caution is my warning. Secondly, I want to address the food. To make a long story short, we all enjoyed it. Great seafood, okay steak(they cook it well done(there was a medium or medium well one, I think, that was far better), or as I call it: burnt), and decent everything else. Nothing overly special, but definitely good quality. I think the price was a bit much($32 per person, though I may be a bit over), but we still enjoyed it anyway. Finally, I wanted to address the place itself. The main areas were clean, the bathrooms were clean(I can only speak for the males, but I want to believe that if that was clean, the females would be as well), and it gave off a really welcoming vibe. It is not overly extravagant, which is a good thing, and does was it sets out to do. In closing, I only have two other things to warn you about: -If you have kids, and do not want a headache, do not let them look around that gift shop. They will likely find a dog that never stops making noise, that will annoy you. -On a more serious note(though the last one is from personal experience), be mindful about what you purchase. We got one of those dogs, and it completely broke, I think making a hole in the outer shell from what I was hearing. The staff were willing to fix the problem, but I would be mindful of that. Bottomline, highly recommended, and remember, eat lots of crab legs! EDIT: We went there again, and unfortunately I must take off another star, even though the food tasted good once more. The reason why is because the ribeye I ordered was cooked the oddest way I have ever seen one cooked. It tasted and looked good, but it was about 30% Medium(as I ordered), 68% Medium well, 1% Well done, and 1% Rare(on the fat area, which I can kind of excuse in a way). I am not entirely sure how that was possible, but beyond my amazement, I have one recommendation: Stay away from the steak here, please. I implore you to stay as far away from it as you can. It is not worth the risk, even if it tasted good to me(to others it would likely be way too dry).

Well to begin they pray on unsuspecting out of towners,so lets begin, good location, not far from the main strip. Ample parking, Well appointed landscaping. Once you enter, some what cramped waiting area. Somewhat confusing hostess workflow management. Seating is somewhat cramped but manageable. The waitress was very nice and very accommodating. As soon as we are seated, are bombarded with baskets of hushpuppies and offered drinks and no menus. The hushpuppies where very tasty and the weird butter combo was good. The soft drinks where good. Once you have snacked on the hushpuppies for a minute, waitress comes back and your briefed on the impending doom, because this is where you get setup for the okie doke and told the crazy inflated buffet bar prices. You are know told the prices of this torture trip, which is $29.99 dollars per adult, $14.99 for a 12yr old and $5.99 for my 5yr old. After this sticker shock your left to agree to the prices and give no options as there is there is menu to order from. I hoped the food would be the best I have had I long time. Now for the food, The fried shrimp, well the fried batter w/shrimp, as well the steamed shrimp had no flavor or seasoning. The steak must have been cooked during the past Reagan administration and sure tasted like it, dry as the sandy beaches or maybe the cardboard box it came in. The Tilapia was seasoned with road salt and must have been purchased at the Dollar Tree from the clearance. Crab legs where ok but seemed a little under/over cooked. The sausage Calabash was tasty. The steamed broccoli was good but they skimped out the cheese, the macaroni and cheese well tasted like it was also stocked from the Dollar Tree. So I must conclude this review of the horrid experience, the fact I paid for five star flavor and got, well the most part the cooked selection the comprised items from the local dollar store and gas station kwik marts. STAY AWAY from this place as it is a mugging without a gun but with smile. Paid over $120 dollars for garbage! Never has my wallet had thrashing like this.

My husband and I have eaten here twice: once on May 2, 2015 and again on January 2, 2016. The first time we came because of the overall good rating and because they offer good discounts for the lunch buffet ($22.95 per person with the $7 coupon). We found it to be satisfactory to us. The second time we came because it was off season, and most of the other seafood buffets were closed for the season. We were a little nervous because we read some bad reviews about cold food, but again it lived up to our expectations. Some of the food may not be extremely hot, but its a buffet after all. They dont want to burn your mouth, and by the time you get down to the bottom of your mile high plate, some of the food is bound to be cold. We love the hush puppies, salmon, mahi mahi, and of course crab legs. They have good fried shrimp too. I will say the dessert bar is sorely lacking, but thats why youre going to a seafood buffet--not a dessert buffet. Focus on their specialty--seafood--and you wont be disappointed I believe. Captain Georges has a great dessert selection, but I dont think their seafood is that great. The waiters and waitresses seem to be primarily students from Russia, and we have found them to be pleasant. David, our first waiter, even made a paper rose for me. :) On our second trip, our waitress said that a couple a few tables down had paid $40 towards our meal. That was such a nice gesture, and if you anonymous givers ever read this, I just want to thank you and let you know that we have paid it forward!

Went here for mothers day this past sunday..we got the buffet. It was 37.99 a person which we thought was fine but we should have checked out the buffet before we said yes. There buffet is extremely small and the food was barley warm. My family and myself only got 1 plate each because there wasnt too much to pick from.. the fried shrimp was actually cold and the crab legs was right on the boarder line of being cold, soaking soggy..and tasted stringy... I have a big family and when we go to buffets we loke to go back for 2nds..lol..we didnt here. We didnt even finish what we had on our plates. We paid the ticket and left. Lesson learned. The service was good but that was the only thing good about it..that is why it got 1 star from me because if I was rating the food only then it would be a 0. We will never go back there again. Spending 37.99 each person for barley warm food and a very small buffet is not worth it at all. ... I checked the reviews but saw great reviews at a glance...i should have read thru the reviews but we were all so hungry...so I just focused on the 4 as the main review...i honestly dont know how this place got good reviews unless we picked a bad day..but it was mothers day..they should have made sure it was at top standards.
