It was my mothers birthday..the big 6-0..I called to make a reservation and specifically asked for the best table and specifically by a window so we can all see the view. Hostess said no problem and said all seats have a view. When we arrived the upstairs was fully closed for a rehersal dinner and and there downstairs was also mostly taken for a wedding dinner!! Why was I not told restaurant had two huge parties going on and my seat will be in the middle of restaurant..with a view of the wedding party and the parking lot!!!! I specifically asked if my table will be by the window and I was told yes..no problem!! Seemed like hostess had no clue there were two big parties going on even as I arrived and waited for the rest of my family to arrive..If I was told I wouldnt have a view..I would have made reservations else where at a place with a view..and actually with better food. I like to eat dishes I do not cook myself..therefore I ordered the Bass...when it came out it was over cooked...I sent it back..while my whole party ate and finished their food I waited..as my 2nd plate of bass finally arrived.. it was over cooked again!!! My uncles ribs were fatty..my moms scallops not tasty..and my kids chicken fingers ..with not enough white meat...and this is after waiting 2 hours for our food to arrive! Very pricey $15 burgers and fish and chips and not worth the money. Only good part was the drinks and the waitress!! Oh and the beet salad!! I work in customer service in Bristol and if anone asks to recommend a place to eat..it will not be this place!!

New to New England and this was our third time at Trafford. We arrive with every bit of conviction about ordering the clam chowder as an appetizer (having enjoyed it before) but talked ourselves into the panzanella salad instead. I have been home a few hours and have looked up every recipe or picture I can find and nothing comes close to what we had at lunch today. I would frequent your restaurant for the decor and view alone, but the food and service is excellent and if I start about how much I loved that simple-but-elegant salad that was even more perfect in flavor I would be up all night and never come close!

Not all it should be. Type of place I wish I could have liked better. Split a beet salad which was fine enough. Dinner arrived and it was substantial - Chicken Marsala with garlic mashed. No side veg which I found odd. Taste was fairly bland for both. No salt or pepper on the tables. No refill on my water. Rolls were provided with the salad but they were small and only one per person. Two dinners both under $23.00, half a salad and 1 glass of wine. $83.00 including tip.

Wow, great trifecta of waterfront view, great service and great food. Reminds me of the Boat House in Tiverton. We just came in for lunch and I had the most delicious bleu cheese and bacon salad, Trafford Burger and fries (gosh bless the flakey sea salt!). Fiancé said the fish tacos were excellent. Our waiter was very friendly, happy and interested. Another good trifecta. Thanks Trafford, well be back!

The food was outstanding. We shared the stuffed quahogs, lump crab cakes and the beet salad which were all delicious! Then we each had the shrimp scampi and again it was fantastic. Our server, Christina, was delightful and since we are from out of state she spent extra time giving us points of interest.

We had my parents 50th Anniversary dinner there, and had amazing food and service! There were a few slips in the planning stages, but they were very open to working with us to resolve them. The night itself was magical!

We enjoyed the swordfish and the ribeye. Delicious spinach and mushroom ravioli. Dessert was superb crème brulee. And it is one of the restaurants open on Mondays when many others are closed. We highly recommend it.
