Everything from service, food, atmosphere, cleanliness, was great. We were seated quickly by a friendly waitress. While the beer list isnt the most extensive Ive ever seen,for a local family pub its got a great variety. Also has some specialty drinks. I havent tried them but they were there and sounded pretty good for mixed drinks. The food was great and came out pretty darn fast. It wasnt very crowded, but the place was buzzing. One thing I really loved was the decor. From vintage movie posters to comics, to sports memorabilia, it had a great look. Bathrooms were clean, 3 stalls in the ladies room. Overall, if youre looking for great place to sit down and have a beer you may not have tried, or your regular dram, some hearty comfort food, and casual fun, look no further.

I really liked this restaurant when I walked in. It seems to be a genuine American cuisine with a wide variety of brews. I can say that they did provide a small variety of beer but the service is absolutely horrible. Good luck with enjoying your experience at Ashland. I have been here twice and both experiences have been absolutely pathetic. The servers let a severely intoxicated individual walk out of the door and drive away. This individual had obviously had too much to drink and they still continued to serve him. After he was done drinking he drove away.

My husband and I go here all the time. We love the food...everything weve ever tried is fantastic, especially for a bar! The Buffalo Chicken Mac n Cheese is heaven, the nachos are wonderful and the Daisy May Chicken is my husbands favorite. The bartenders are attentive and friendly, and the service is always decent. It can get loud, and you often have to wait for a seat at prime time, but I would highly recommend the AAH!

Great service and great drinks. But I will never go back. The manager (Ali) told our server that we couldnt have a second drink because she didnt like the person I was with. I will never go back and ill tell my friends not to go there. This was my first time ever going there and I will never go back. No manager should drive a paying customer away because "she doesnt like someone" when your bar is dead.

I eat here when I can.I have been a regular patron since it opened after the old nines closed. I do enjoy the fish and chips but the seasonal meal salads are always so tempting. The staff is always A+ and it is nice to see the managers involved with what is coming out of the kitchen. Always clean . This is my favorite "go to" place with friends and family. Consistently very good.

Yesterday 1/21/17 FIRST VISIT even though I had heard about it replacing the "99". Went with a group of 15+ (See below + Husbands, Children, etc.) to "Toast & Reminisce" (w/Liquor) after the Funeral Service of my Childhood Neighbors DAD. FANTASTIC time & Janet, (Our Waitress), did a GREAT JOB (alone) filling all those glasses for Round #1, then #2, & some #3s!! "Ill be Baaak"

My wife and I get there early on weeknights to avoid the rowdy, loud bar crowd. There is a tough, biker type crowd there. I would imagine there are a lot of fights at this bar. Any place with the words Ale or Beer or Brew in the name I generally like. Burgers are good but the rest of the menu is below average. Bring on the beer. Wish I could smoke cigars there...

The bar is awesome and the staff is great! Very friendly and talkative staff. The building and restrooms are clean. Plenty of places to sit at the bar. Wide drink selection. The only thing that keeps me away from this place is the fact some of my friends got sick from eating here it was a while ago, but it kinda turned me away from ordering food here.

There are no prices on the beer menu and the server wouldnt let me choose the DFH Indian Brown Ale or the Spencer Trappist Ale as part of a flight. Pizza wasnt crispy at all. Wings were decent. The jalapeños on my friends nachos were clearly from a jar. Burgers are great, though.

Love this place. Consistent for its delicious food, service, and libations. We live nearby and this is a "go to" spot for us that never disappoints. Now that they offer stuffed quahogs, we will be coming even more often, especially if they add this item to the regular menu.

steak was terrible service just as bad .Was there a little over an hour and had 1 drink Had to wave down the bartender to give us plates for our chicken wings which were ok.They asked how my meal was,showed them how much was inedible, all fat and gristle they dud nothing .

The Pistol Pete Burger was pretty good. The burger was cooked and seasoned well. However, the nachos and sweet potato fries definitely left something to be desired. But what mattered to me most was the burger, which it did deliver on.

I had the wedge salad and a cup of clam chowder. Food was excellent and wait staff ( Michelle) was attentive. Just a little on the pricey side. Nice atmosphere. Will definitely come back.

Yesterday, We went there for my granddaughters birthday, she turned 12. We told our waiter we were celebrating. Nothing, no dessert with a candle, no singing, nothing. Very disappointed

Wedge salad with steak tips was huge and delicious. Ate half at the Ale House (with tater tots and gravy, yum) and the other half for dinner the next night (and it was perfect!).
