RED LOBSTER Has been my favorite seafood restaurant for years. No matter where you live every decent sized town will have one! I love love love the crab dishes, especially the Crab Alfredo! My daughter and I used to go there fairly often and I would order my Crab Alfredo, and she would order the Shrimp Alfredo . The Alfredo sauce for the crab was always perfect, creamy, cheesy, and DELISH!! The Shrimp Alfredo always had garlic in it which my daughter loved!! The Staff is friendly and helpful, and if they find out you are there celebrating your birthday, they will bring you a piece of cake and several staff members come out and sing their own version of the Happy Birthday song, making you feel warm and welcome! The Caesar salads are wonderful as are their delightful cheddar Bay biscuits, which they will refill if you finish them before you get your meal. Lately I noticed that my Crab Alfredo has much more garlic than usual. Unfortunately, I now have Gerd which will make me Ill if I eat much garlic. When I explained this to my server, she asked me to please wait a minute while talks to the chef for me. She is smiling when she comes back to tell me that the chef is going to see what he can do... She brought our dinners out sooner than I thought, and God Bless her and the chef because the dinner tasted just like the old Crab Alfredo, wonderful. I can never finish the big meal they give me, so I took a take out box of it with some biscuits I ordered extra to take home for my son!! I gave my server a bigger tip than usual since she went out of her way to keep me a happy satisfied customer!!

Tempura Shrimp were too greasy. Sriracha Grilled Shrimp were not grilled, about half done. Waited for what seemed like forever for the server to come back and check if meal was OK, told her it was not and sent 4.5 shrimp back to be re-grilled which took way too long so and when they came back we were done eating so I had to take them home..BUY-THE-WAY I only got 4-shrimp back..Poor, very poor... The Shrimp Linguini Alfredo had a weird tasting sauce and the shrimp were mushy..NO where as good as it used to be; my wife took almost 3/4 of it home and the dog did want to eat it so it went in the trash. The quality of your food standards have gone to $HIT, I could have got better food and service for that mater at a diner Lastly the salad, why such a large bowel if you are only going to leave 3/4 of it empty, REALLY... The rolls were still as good as before, no complaints there. Leaving because the food and the amount of money I had to pay for such sub-par food SUCKED... Shy of getting completely new staff, from management on down, nothing it was a waste of the $39.20 I spent which by the way, never again for us and anyone I can tell who will listen, PERIOD... Did not even see a manager or anyone who looked like a manager and none came by our table to check on us. So I guess if management does not do their job, one cannot expect support staff below then to do theirs either.

my wife and i went here for her birthday and to celebrate her being breast cancer free for 5 years.we were seated right away. our waitress, whose name was Ashley, came right to our table to get our drink order. she was very helpful in selecting our drinks. while she was getting our order together, my wife noticed she had a pink ribbon pin on her shirt.she said it was for her mom,who was a beast cancer survivor. we then told her yesterday was my wifes 5th year of being cancer free and today was also her birthday.we had a delicious meal and the staff sang happy birthday to my wife.Ashley then told us that the manager was going to take off a portion of our bill as a gift to us. Ashley then said she was going to pay the rest of our bill as a gift to is. what a wonderful evening it was. their kindness and thoughtfulness was greatly appreciated. we both gave Ashley a big hug and a nice tip. when we go back to red lobster again,we will make sure to ask for Ashley again. its great to see that red lobster employs such excellent people. we made sure to tell lots of other people about our experience

My wife and I have gone a few times and never had any problems, however our visit on April 6th was an absolute wreck. They do not take reservations but said they would hold a table if we call ahead, which I did. I was told they would have a table waiting for us, yet when we got there they made us wait 10 minutes for a table. While being seated I noticed several open tables and booths, yet nobody exited while we were waiting which raised the question why were we forced to wait then? After being seated, it took half an hour just to get drinks. The food was good but took forever to get as well. We did not get our meals until after the entire dinning room was empty and the other servers we doing the cleaning for closing. Next time my wife and I will dine somewhere else.

We will start with the waitress: Her name is Jess and shes freaking awesome. She read us the special told us what would be great to eat, for some reason I cant eat lobster but I can eat crab legs and she made it possible that had an awesome meal and experience. She had the cooks boil the crab legs apart from the lobster, did I tell you shes awesome? Both my husband and I were so happy. Our first time here in York and she mad it her business to make us feel as comfortable as possible. We. Love. Her.

Not Gluten-free friendly regardless what they tell you. Became sick shortly after eating at this location. Also, I ordered a lobster that was 1.4 lbs and unfortunately it was VERY under cooked. The waitress offered to take it back to have the kitchen cook it longer, and I politely said no... Id rather take it home and finished cooking rather then have an angry cook mess with my food. My opinion is to skip this place and have a nice meal somewhere else.

I think my current rating is a result of the food quality going down combined with my tastes changing. Im all for butter, salt and more fat, but Red Lobster basically slathers this trio on all their food; the substrate almost doesnt matter - butter, check. salt, check. fat, check. You can pay less at a local non-chain restaurant and get a far superior meal and dining experience. You deserve better!

My husband asked for Cajun chicken linguine but did not get that at all and although this may sound petty the big potatoes are usually so good with rock salt all over them but there were none so was pretty bland. Everything else was seven out of the 10 when normally it is a 10 but I dont usually go to the York location.
