Been to Firehouse before in Ohio and they had decent food. Tried this one while on vacation with the family in VA and it was horrible! The staff never smiled, and the cashier was abrupt and rude to us. We had to wait about 10 minutes for our food to be prepared, and when it was brought to the table, 3 of the 4 meals were incorrect. How can you mess up subs that badly?!? The entire staff was scary looking and never smiled and frankly I was scared to ask them to honor their "If this is not the best sub..." commitment. Saw other guests getting incorrect orders as well. Definitely not better than Jersey Mikes subs. And on top of that, their Coke machine was out of multiple flavors. On a Saturday? Come on, is there even a manager there to see what is going on?

New management has really dragged this place down. I ordered a salad. Smaller than they used to be, fewer ingredients, and mostly iceberg lettuce despite the description saying romaine. And now they only do free drinks for first responders on Sunday. The staff was reasonably friendly, but that doesnt make up for the steep decline in quality. Subway salads are much better, made to order with more ingredient choices, and cost less.
