I did my externship at Aux Petits Delices & let me start off by saying Chef Patrick is the worse man behind those counters. I was only 4 months pregnant & hardly showing. I wanted to be honest with my boss so I told him. He did not like it very much, I could see it in his face. Well after a few months, I had called out a couple times due to having PreEclampsia & being sick. When i came back to work, he said in front of EVERYONE, "THIS isnt going to happen everyday is it?! i cant do this. youre always sick!" I had doctors notes & all types of documentation. & one day he called my phone saying "you should have told me you were pregnant in september when you filled out the applcation..i would have hired someone else!" and said he was not going to give me my check! I quit a couple days later. But working in this bakery for 3 months I experienced a lot of disturbing things. 1) Chef Patrick does NOT wash his hands when mixing cakes. WE all watched him lilck his fingers and stick his hand right back in the bowl! 2) All the people who work there are WONDERFUL! But Chef Patrick does not treat them with the respect they deserve! 3) DO NOT DO YOUR INTERN/EXTERNSHIP there. all he will have you do is fruit tarts & slave work! The Pastry Chef tried to stick up for us Interns and got yelled at by CHef Patrick. Saying were only interns, were meant to do b*tch work! I appreciate her and everyone else who tried to help. they really did try to teach us interns what we deserved to learn but chef patrick stole that oppertunity from us because everyone is below him. Yes, his cakes are good and his shop looks nice, but do you really want to support a man like that? Well that was my experience..actually INSIDE THE BAKERY. take it how you want it. I hope ive helped someone, at least.

Absolutely no customer service all. 2 weeks prior to pickup my cakes.I spoke with Nina for an hour about two cakes. I ordered one 12" cake for $130 and one 8" for $80. Both cakes were incomplete and poorly design by Patrick. I ask him to add something to the top of the cake. He told me there is nothing he can do yelling the entire time. He told me that i did not tell Nina what to do. If i only knew he and Nina dont talk or communicate. I would have designed and made the cakes myself. I did not tell him about the color or placed it in the oven and close the oven door. I guess they do talk a little. Patrick was very rude and arrogant. His voice was very abusive and violent to us. I was so embarrassing walking out your store in tears with two uncompleted cake for $210. I took the cakes to another baker and ask them to redecorated for me.

I have been looking for this place since a French co-worker brought croissants into work over 10 years ago. MY SEARCH ENDED LAST WEEK, after an unexpected layover at Wayne station. For the quality of service, presentation of pastries, careful packaging, and incredible taste I would have gladly paid triple the amount that I did for croissants, tarts and pastry. My wife and I have been talking about it all week. The only true croissant on the main line. I mean where have you found a true paraffin wax bag in the last 25 years? That is the attention to detail chef has for his stellar product. That bag kept my treasured croissants fresh and flaky for at least 4 days! This place is a hands down a true find.

my name is matthew n calio. i have been going up to aux petitis since i have been 19 years old. i am now 37 years old. this is the finest pastry shop in the the world. when i had the great pleasure of meeting the owner patrick years ago.He is the best that there was. and i must say that there was no place for second place. patrick is to me to what """"louis comfort tiffany was and still is to the tiffany family"""" and that is only the best that there is. p.s patrick is the very best that there is and there is only room for the best,!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Worst customer service! Crapy website which can’t even give the correct business hour. I drove half hour to the location based on the business hour on their website then to find they have a different sign on their door which close half hour earlier! Also, the person on the phone was giving attitudes as if I was stupid enough to believe their business hour on the website.
