Came here once before and had a sweet server and the food was good, this time was different. The meat on the sandwiches was tough and difficult to eat and everything came out cold. We inconvenienced our server as he was concentrated on chatting with coworkers and texting. We sat on the patio, which was beautiful, but had to come inside to ask for water refills which was met with severe attitude and took even longer to have all of our empty cups re-filled. The rest of the meal was one of us going in to find our server to request a cold omelette to be warmed up (which was shoved back in my hands to carry out as I returned from the bathroom), forgotten salad dressing, and just one coffee refill. Were a laid back group but by the end we put the check on one tab because the tension from the server was so uncomfortable we just wanted out of there. We tipped 20% because we enjoyed the patio and each others company as my employees and I hardly ever get lunch together, but mostly because we wanted to leave guilt free and never plan to return for cold meals and offensive attitude from Ryan.

My wife and I were pretty much living out of the Childrens Hospital of Pittsburgh for a couple weeks. Im sure anyone can imagine having a child there for an extended period would be stressful, even more so when you are from Erie... 2.5 Hours away. This Caffe, situated a block down became a wonderful part of an otherwise dreary daily routine. Im sure they didnt open the place for people like us but it was great to have. We often missed breakfast in the hospital cafeteria to stand in for our childs rounds so we came here and were quite impressed each day. The coffee and confections were excellent. If I lived nearby, this would be a regular stop on my way to work. If you should, God forbid, find yourself in our situation I highly recommend stopping in here. It can help keep you sane.

Im torn between 3 and 4 stars here. I went on a hot Sunday in July for brunch, expecting it to be busy, but the (pleasantly cool) indoors was at most 1/3 full. The prix fixe menu was a great deal - 3 courses plus coffee for $14. I plumped for the fruit plate, which was generous (apple, melon, grapes, strawberry, peach), but slightly disappointing: about half of the items were under-ripe; then a savoury spanikopita French toast, because it sounded unusual. ("Weird" might be a better term, although I ended up deciding I mostly liked it - even though the balsamic reduction was definitely a touch odd.) And ended with a sweet apricot-jam crepe, which was just perfect. Friendly, efficient service.

Very good experience. Service was good (which seems hard to come by these days). Server was new, but still took care of us. Atmosphere was good. A unique breakfast menu. My friend and I split the Brentwood bagel & Brie & Apple Crepes - both meals were delicious! I got a latte and she got a coffee. Constantly came around to fill coffee & waters. Good prices for the quality of food. We went on a Saturday morning, but luckily had no issues finding the place or finding parking. Steps from Childrens Hospital. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for something a little unique.

Food and atmosphere were on point and price was right there and location is tucked away perfectly. We had a crepe, french toast, and omelet that were all worthy for another visit and then some. Plus came with a free desert that was hard not to eat every bite. Only thing that keeps me from giving this fine place a full 5 stars was the service wasnt bad but felt a little rough. Gladly will be back and when I do Ill reevaluate my rating once I see if the service was just a one day occurrence, which Im hoping it was since this place is cool.

The owner is extremely rude and unwelcoming. Service is terse and slow. Ive never gotten my food in under an hour. I gave this place many chances to not suck, since I live nearby, but its not worth it. Go to Constellation for a (much better) coffee, and go down to Butler for breakfast. Would not even recommend this place to an enemy. Stay away.

Visited Caffe Mona and had the Bergama Crepe. It was delicious, very neatly presented and a great lunch choice. Excellent foods for vegetarians and healthy eating. Service was quick and just an overall warm and inviting atmosphere. My waiter was fantastic and Id definitely visit there again!!

Easily one of my favorite cafes in Pittsburgh! Their coffee is delicious, they have both wonderful sweet and savory selections on their menu and the service is fantastic- everyone is so pleasant! Has a very "European cafe" feel with pretty artwork on the walls and a knowledgeable staff.

Service fail. They directed us to a table in the back, where we waited for 20 minutes, without getting menus, without acknowledgment or offering to take drink orders. People came in after us did get menus and so forth. Weird. Sloppy. Cute place, though. Two stars for that.

Really enjoyed breakfast. Im not a coffee lover, but husband said it was good coffee. He was quite pleased with his Protein Omlette and I loved my Nutella French Toast. I asked mine with berries instead of banana and was really happy with portion size, taste and quality!

Really pleasant experience. Atmosphere was great, service was great and flavors were amazing. A lot of unique flavors that varied from sweet to complex, definitely have to come multiple times in order to sample a larger part of the menu.

Atmosphere was nice, but my omelet was very light on the fillings for the price, and service was slow. Would probably be nice for relaxing with a friend or two, but in general I felt I paid too much for the food and service I received

Very nice atmosphere. Food was sub par and expensive. Staff charged more for the food than the menu price which was already over priced. If you go, stick with a coffee and save your money for a better breakfast somewhere else.

Great little out of the way cafe! Some is not right on butler, its much less likely to have a wait. The food has fresh ingredients and interesting combinations. I love the crepes!
