We had dinner at Villa Azur this past weekend with some friends to take advantage of Miami Spice and try out this restaurant which has great reviews. I will not go back. The place is very nice, elegant and modern style. They have a DJ mixing the whole night and the music was great, dance songs, a bit loud sometimes but it was different and we liked it. The drinks a the bar were THE BEST, I had the organic coconut caipinha and a passion fruite puree, both were delicious. For dinner I chose the MAC TRUFFLE AND CHEESE CROQUETTES, for entrée I had the IBERICO PORK TENDERLOIN served with risotto, and for dessert had the COFFEE LIEGEOIS. The appetizer croquettes were very good, the serving portion was generous as the 3 mac and cheese croquettes were big (others in the table ordered the mussel and shrimp salad and were very disappointed, and others ordered the octopus and they liked it, it was an additional $8). About 20 minutes later the food came, during all this time the waitress never came by our table (of 12) to check on us...Almost everyone had the pork tenderloin with the risotto, what a bad choice. The pork was dry and flavorless, there were 4 tiny pieces of pork served on top of a mountain of rice, I left the pork and ate the rice. After we were done eating they took another 20-30 min for the dessert to come out, they forgot one person in the table. After waiting some more time (we were all done with our desserts by then) the waitress stopped by and we asked for the missing dessert, HE COUNTED THE PLATES ON THE TABLE! Seriously? Then took another 10 minutes to bring out the coffee ice cream...Then time for the check, he didnt want to split the tab, for some reason only did it for two couples whove had drinks, but put some of their charges on our tab and refused to fix it. As we were all friends, we paid for the other couples charges and left out. Needless to say, we will not be visiting Villa Azur after Miami Spice. Just to throw this out there, what is the point of participating in Miami Spice if you are not going to provide the same quality of service as to other guests ordering from the regular menu?

All I can say is WOW. I visited Villa Azur for my Birthday on August 13th with ten friends and had the most spectacular evening. From the arrival into the lounge I was in love with the style and décor of the restaurant. Candlelight welcomed us into the lounge with beautiful cream leather sofas, long golden drapes proving their perfect balance of glamour, charm and comfort. We began with cocktails at the beautiful inside bar served by a friendly and chatty bartender. I had the St Barth cocktail which combined delicious blends of cucumber fresh mint and lime juice. The hostess was extremely friendly and graceful and led us to the most perfect table in the centre of the courtyard. The ambiance in the garden was magnificent as it was a Latin inspired evening with salsa dancers and international music. The dj and music for the evening was brilliant. We ordered family style appetizers of crispy calamari, burratina and octopus which were all devine. The burratina is the best I have ever tried and presented beautifully. Our server was extremely friendly and when we asked for his own recommendation from the menu he knew how every dish was cooked, seasoned and tasted. Very helpful. For main course I had the Tiger Prawns marinated in Pastis sauce served with sautéed vegetables and it was cooked to perfection with the perfect mix of flavours. I had told the hostess on arrival it was my birthday and was delighted when an OVERSIZED martini style glass filled with all different flavours of icecream and berries and giant candles arrived out followed by the staff signing happy birthday and the lights flashing in the entire restaurant. It was the perfect ending to the perfect evening. Overall couldnt recommend this restaurant highly enough. The staff, food, ambiance and cocktails are like no other on South Beach.

This restaurant is another tourist trap brought to you by the Shady people in Miami Beach! As a local, I most definitely dine in most of the restaurants around this city. We were a party of 5 and were bombarded with rude waiters that were not happy when we werent big drinkers. Once they realized we were only dining the servers came by the table less and less. A few of us had the Calamari salad to start and it was super greasy! The main courses were mediocre at best. When we informed our waitress of how unappetizing the calamari was. She replied with "well they are fried!" What do you want me to do take it off your bill?! Clearly this isnt the way to treat patrons. When one goes out and spends good money for a meal, one expects a dining experience. This place was decorated beautifully and had lots of energy but fell short in the service and food department.

We were in Miami from Boston for a Bachelorette trip and had dinner at Villa Azur. Id say that was probably the best service ever!!! Everything was impeccable from the food, of which I had the short rib that was bursting with flavor, to the well made cocktails and of course the very attentive and knowledgeable servers and wait staff who treated us with respect and top notch service and the manager who kindly checked on us. And the desert was incredible, Id recommend their Tiramisu, the best Ive ever had. And how can I forget to mention just how beautiful and well decorated the entire restaurant was, its interior was gorgeous and so was the outdoor seating where we sat. In addition the DJ was spinning all the best music, she kept us entertained through out dinner. Villa Azur is definitely a must for anyone going to Miami! Its a hidden gem. Youll not be disappointed!!!

Aceita reservas.

Vila Azur is a borderline tourist trap: a nightclubbish restaurant full of sparkling champainge bottles and loud music. When I ordered a bottle of a simple rosé wine, the sommelier said that that specific bottle, a cheap one, was "disgusting" and that I should be ashamed, and said I should order a jeroboam one (one of those 3 liter magnums) that costed 395 usd. I had to say a couple of times that I would stick with my choice despite his pressure. Even though I felt being pressured by a bottle service nightclub bouncer, the food was surprisingly good: our ny strip (or was it a prime rib?) was perfectly cooked and the pasta and seafood was also very well executed. Not an obvious choice.

Amazing experience Was only one dining at there with my wife at outside area while inside dining was reserved for Neiman Marcus event. I ordered two cocktails and they were well made with very delicate taste. My wife had a rose wine and she liked it. The octopus appetizer is a wow dish. I thought I got a chicken plate but no, the pieces of octopus were cooked in a way I never seen or tasted before. Highly recommended that dish. Main entrees were very good. I had a chicken cooked with olive and my wife had salmon. We were very pleased with the dishes. Service is good and environment is comfortable. Every dollar spent at there is justified.
