Considering that I go to The Draught Horse a lot, I think I should contribute an honest review. If you want a cheap burger with just cheese, lettuce, and tomato then go to Mcdonalds. If not, than dont order a cheese burger from this place. Order one of the burgers with added ingredients, like a smoked bacon burger or the burger with provolone and spinach. Then you will get your moneys worth. Yummy. Im not sure where the "other bars and restaurants with qualified chefs and a down to earth staff have opened up on TUs campus." If you know where one is, let me know. If youre talking about Maxis or Pub Webb, that must be a joke. Their food is way worse and they only sell bar food. The only time Ive ever had to stand in a long line was when it was packed during a Temple Basketball game, and thats why I dont go there during the games. The only time I ever paid a cover was last year and it was $5... this year there is no cover on any night except Friday nights when they have live bands. They have great beer for great prices and I feel like the selection changes every other week. Any other bar in the city and youll be paying far more for a good tasting beer. Its a college bar.. what do you expect?

Do not go here. We wanted to get a quick bite around campus. We went in around 3:30 in the afternoon. We were sat immediately since it was pretty empty. Our tables were outfitted with cheap paper napkins, plastic cups and plastic plates. Our waitress came fairly quick and brought our drinks and took our orders, and thats about the most we saw of her. The nachos were an awful pile of artificial cheese and other glop, barely warm. Our food came in good time. The burgers were pretty small considering the price. My jalapeno burger lacked a very important ingredient, the jalapenos, but I had no opportunity to fix this as our waitress never checked back with us. On of my party members got a chicken parmesan sandwich- it was so heavily breaded she couldnt even eat it. Needless to say, we will not be returning there and will never recommend someone else goes.

I walked into The Draught Horse on a Tuesday night around 7 and casually asked a guy at the front if I should wait to be seated, or if I should seat myself. He responded in the most ignorant and condescending tone imaginable that there was clearly a sign stating I needed to wait to be seated. Im still not sure why this was how he chose to respond to me since the sign he was referring to was on the other side of a divider and would have been impossible for me to see in the first place.. This was the end of my dining experience at The Draught Horse. I walked straight out and headed to a pub right up the street where the staff was much more respectful and professional. If I had known ahead of time that this is how I would have been greeted at The Draught Horse, I would have avoided it at all costs.

I went to temple vs rhode Island game(great game) and thought I would grab dinner to wait out traffic. My wife and I ordered two over priced burgers - took over 45 min and they were served cold - no silverware on the table or napkins - waiter said sorry we had to wait and offerred a basket of fries on the house. I am home now and eating tums to take the taste away(the food is reall bad). I saw cleaner rest rooms at the old Vet(flooded with trash all over the floor - It was only 6:30). The place ought to be sold to a new owner who know how to run a bar. I wish I had gone to the taco place accross the street. Temple waited a long time for a bar on campus but the Draught Horse is a dump.the campus deserves better.

Upon walking into this empty establishment, I knew I was going to be severely disappointed. But I was starving after a long days work, and hoping for the best, I sat down with no idea that this lunch i was about to have would haunt me. My first course was Pigs In a Blanket, the bread was burnt on the outside, and the mini hot dogs were cold on the inside. and in the midst of the failure of an appetizer, it was the best thing I ate during my awful experience at the Draught Horse. My quesadillas were laughable as they consisted of the worst ingredients and i couldnt even stomach it. However the service was great and the food came fast. But then again... the restaurant was empty.

I work at Temple and have been coming here almost since they first opened. The happy hour is the best around the area. They have dollar off of all drinks, which are moderately priced as opposed to most bars which only have specials on domestic beers and WELL drinks. Their food has definitely improved and is different from most pub fare you will find. It definitely has the cleanest and most appealing atmosphere of the places you will find in this general vicinity. I would not recommend going here after 10pm on a wednesday night if you are not into the party scene.

I was expecting half way decent food, but you can tell the majority of it is cooked by untrained staff, and shipped in frozen. So disappointing when youre sick of campus food and want a nice dinner, go there and its just flat out worse than the caf. Bands they book are great but their cover is always so high, and the atmospheres just not there. try harder!!!!

The Draught Hose is just about the only restaurant on Temples campus. While the food is good for bar food and it has a fair variety of beers on tap, it can be very loud at times. So, if you want to hear your tablemates, make sure its not a party night before you go.

I have been to the draught Horse on many occasions now and in my experience the service is very up- to-par. A wide variety of drinks are available including: Beers ( bottled or draft) Alocohol ( mixed as well) and Wines . The Bartenders are very cordial and polite

Other than on-campus locations, this one of the few places where you can sit down and get table service. Menu is standard bar menu... burgers, salads, beer. Dont expect much more. Dont order a Long Island Ice Tea. Nobody orders those anymore. Seriously. Nobody.

I m talking about the food. I asked for a grilled chicken Ceasar salad. It was awful. Only letuce stems were used. The chicken was dry and flavorless. The croutons were dry and hard. It was drenched in salad dressing. Couldnt finish it.

The food is good though I find it does take a little long for a college bar. They sometimes skimp out on particulars, like asking for a burger to be well done or even done comes back medium done.

Worst food ever and grossly overpriced. Even the tortilla chips are flavorless. Nachos are "made" with wiz!! No topppings. Tacos were so bad; I keep waiting to die from food poisoning
