We were looking for an early dinner spot recently, and we enjoy good Greek food, so we stumbled upon Kostas in Fishtown to give it a try. Menu looked good, so we walked in. Its primarily a bar with pool tables that also serves food. We were there early enough that we basically had the place to ourselves, so we grabbed a high top table with 4 chairs. The bartender was our server, and he did a great job of making us feel welcome, and pointed us to specials, etc... We had the appetizer platter, which is a variety of different dips, pickled veggies & pita bread. For dinners, we tried their meat lover combo (pork skewer, chicken skewer, bifteki skewer, along with some gyro meat), as well as their spanakopita. We also had to try their baklava for dessert. Overall, we really enjoyed the food. It was excellent and well done (particularly the spanakopita, as well as the baklava). The gyro meat was our only disappointment - I was expecting it to be freshly carved off a gyro cone (on a spit), but it was not - it was a processed slice that they can throw on the griddle to re-heat. Its okay, but not as good as the authentic gyro cones. The service was great, and our server came by often to check on us and refill beverages. The owner came by our table to check on us, as well, and we enjoyed a good conversation with him. For us, this worked out really well, and well keep it in mind the next time we are in Philly and looking for Greek food. Next time, well probably try the outdoor dining area.

A favorite local watering establishment...my coworkers/business associates/clients and I come here at least biweekly and the staff there are the BEST. The drinks & specials (my personal guilty pleasure - a city wide with a PBR and a shot of whiskey for 5 bucks...and a pickle back of course) and food (delicious!) are super reasonable. Kind of reminds me of our little version of "Cheers." I know I can comfortably walk in there by myself and already know at least 5 people :) Kevin is the best bartender Ive met thus far .. they let us have our little business meetings there, they know on a team night that at least 25% of the people with us are going to end up acting like wild animals..and yet they still love us..or are really great at pretending they do :) My favorite little secret in no libs!

A favorite dive bar of mine. They have three pool tables and the staff is always really nice, especially to the regulars. They serve classic Greek dishes that are washed down with beer quite well. Happy hour appetizers are half price, which means they are almost giving them away- its like $2-3. My go to is the Greek nachos add lamb or chicken, its like a whole meal! One of my favorite after work fishtown spot. They do almost all local beers with a highlight for Yards brews. Yards and a Jamison is $8

I dare to say it could be the best Greek food Ive ever had. It has a spin on it that makes it unique and the service is so friendly, you feel like family. Just brought my man here for his big 40 bday. The octopus appetizer is bomb!! We had side dishes of feta and olives. Main course was the grilled shrimp and rice. It comes with salad. Enjoy!!

I cant say enough good things about this gem of restaurant. Authentic Greek cuisine. Family run as well. With friendly staff. This food is absolutely out of the word amazing. We cant wait to return for more. I wish it was closer, because I would be there weekly! If you havent tried this amazing gem, please stop by! It is worth the visit!!

The food was excellent!! We shared the Meat Lovers combo for 2 (pork & chicken skewers, gyro meat, bifteki skewers) and a side of hummus. I have nothing bad to say. I would eat here everyday if I lived closer. The prices are also very reasonable. Eat Here!

This is a great little neighborhood bar/restaurant with amazing Greek food and a gregarious owner whose father-in-law is the main chef. I tried the app sampler, which is plenty to share, and it was excellent. Cant wait to explore the menu a bit more!
