I came here on a Friday night to attend a small work function. I ordered an angry orchard at $7and took a sip. The drink was barely cold and the drink did not taste like it should. Almost like it was a knockoff version. Must be the mold buildup in the dispenser lines.. I decided to try some food. I ordered the loaded fries which came out with only 4 fries with cheese on it. The portion was also small. The ranch sauce was definitely watered down. I had to order another item because I was still hungry so I got the Buffalo chicken strips. It consisted of three strips and some fries. The strips are HEAVYLY breaded so expect to be paying $11 for bread. Very spicy and over seasoned. I had to chop off the majority of the fried bread just to find actual chicken. The waitstaff needed help. For being a Friday night, they were understaffed. You can tell that they were trying to handle quite a few tables but struggling to keep up with customers. Obviously management should be a concern. Overall, I do not plan on ever coming back to this overpriced place.

The management at the Irish pub is horrible. Ive been there many times and always here a manager named Matt bitching at the waitstaff. And he is usually sitting at the bar drinking! Pat the GM is just as bad. He has moments where hell just curse people out. I heard hes a recovering alcoholic. So why would he be behind the bar? The owner mark can be heard screaming in the kitchen regularly. The food is less than average. Their world famous chicken thumbs have no flavor and the breading is just old stale bread from the kitchen. Beer is expensive and they dont sell pitchers. No amazingly good specials either. The crowd is usually douchy college guys and stuck up girls. Also a lot of business people who are married but single for the night. One night I went there and had a server named Lindsey who seemed to forget I was there. Thats the last time ill sit at a table. Best bet, sit at the bar when Dustin is there or one of the Joes. Theyre great guys and wonderful behind the bar. Avoid Matt and Pat if you can! Dont eat the chicken. Or the steak. Its like rubber.

is this the right place? using street view, I saw a picture of the pub thats there . . . but the picture beside it says "roosevelts" huh? The menu is also very different from the one I just ordered from --- where are the "famous chicken thumbs"? By the way, Id avoid ordering the famous chicken thumbs, aka chicken strips, which youd expect to be crispy, but the buffalo chicken version, at least, is soggy and weird. Service was amazing. Four people checked in on me, multiple times, probably about 20 times in a two-hour visit. Got to be downright annoying . . . but, hey, prefer that to sitting there unattended for a long time. reply note: I was offered a pitcher 30 seconds after sitting down, and there was quite a big beer selection, so the poster below is either wrong or things were changed.

Our food and beer were delicious. I was unimpressed with the service I received on the particular night I went to dinner. It took until our entrees arrived for us to receive any water with our meal, after asking three separate times for water. Our appetizer was completely forgotten and our beer flight was not what we ordered. I understand this could have just been our servers fault and not fully representative of the entire pub, however we were disappointed. I would possibly go back with hopes of better service.

We stopped here with the kids and not surprisingly this is not really geared towards kids. Pub food was good though, I had the Shepards Pie and would recommend getting that if you are hungry. This probably would be a pretty fun place to through a few beers back and chill. If you are looking for a place to eat with the kids, I would probably look somewhere else.

Why bother coming here? The food is bland, drinks often watered down especially during the afternoon. I actually have never had a good experience here in over four visits. I live nearby and I can see now why people joke about this place. Its nothing but a hangout for idiots that come to party during the weekend and are suckered in by the name Irish Pub. As if.

Just no. Beers are lukewarm, food is cheap, but you certainly get what you pay for. Fries are soggy and boring, and the melted cheese on my roast beef was like plastic. It also sat too long on a counter after before being served. Service was fine.

Menu has some good stuff, including some burgers. HDTVs and hanging speakers make this place a great professional sports hangout. Prices are just moderate for every food and drink. Youll have a "Rocky" time here, no really.

Ive been a regular for years, this place is like home... think Cheers meets The Hangover... Great burgers and fries at a good price, a cool place to watch any Philly team play with a cold draft and a good group of friends.

Very Americanized-Irish pub. A few Irish beers and spirits available. Food is alright, but hardly anything I ever saw in the Emerald Isle. Staff was friendly enough and I really do like the big, open walk around bar.

Food and drinks were good enough, but I want to throw a shout out to Mike in particular, who helped make a Canadians first experience in Philly that much better by being friendly and helpful!

its always a place we can have a few beers at, tho the food is consistently, OK and sometimes they try to charge a cover to get blaster with loud music, when you may just want a burger.

A few long nights of boozing have been spent here. During the summer when most of the students are gone, you can get great attention and great prices in a pretty laid back atmosphere

Too crowed most of the time on the weekends and difficult to get drinks. But if thats your thing, then youll probably like it. Top 100 music.

Great local Irish Stout. Great inexpensive food. Everyone acting like a decent human and not a stupid drunk seemed to be having a great time.

Picture an Irish pub, that is exactly what this one is like from design to drinks. The bartenders were really cool and very good.
