EDIT: Im re-posting on here because I first posted about a year ago about the decent food but gross inside, so have to update about the upgrades. They are slowly improving this place and its beginning to resemble a respectable watering hole/pizza joint. They have pulled most of the cardboard beer advertisements from the outside, replaced the smoke and water stained drop ceiling and are ripping up some of the flooring. I hope this places completes the turn around! Food- still sold. Go with the with Stromboli, its hefty. ORIGINAL I just bought a house at 18th and Wolf so I am still learning about this great neighborhood. I love the idea of Pizza Pub, its close, the stromboli and pizza are great but something about this place makes me not want to come in and stay for drinks. I def wont bring my wife for drinks and just order food, pickup beer to-go and leave. It seems like they just dont want to spend the money to improve the outside seating area, get rid of the 1970s drop ceiling and pull the cardboard/plastic $4 pitcher signs. It has so much potential but is just kinda trashy.... I hope they turn it around

We have been trying to fall in love with this place for months but the service just ruins the delicious food and makes it not worth it. 1. Do NOT go there with more than 2 people there was about a 15-20 minute gap between when she brought out the first dish to the last for 4 people. Ignored us and continued paying attention to friends at the bar. 2. we got coupons online and the first 3 times we called no one knew what we were talking about. its like they TRY to be disorganized. 3. bartenders are very cliquey and catty. If you want someone to be rude to you and a mini-version of jersey shore when you go out this is the place for you. 4. food is delicious. This is at the end for a reason. Their ravioli and pizzas are to die for, possibly slightly overpriced for some of the pizzas but definitely not worth it for reasons 1-3. Get your pizza for delivery, seriously........oh wait.....every time we do delivery they never have change.....even for a $10 bill. Disorganized. The employees here make management look like a joke, which is sad for such good food!

I ordered the chicken parm last night for delivery about an hour before closing. The food came at 2AM, their closing time. The chicken parm is supposed to come with garlic knots and salad, which mine did not. This happened to be the sole reason I ordered the pasta meal and not the sandwich. I tried calling but they were closed and I wont be able to reach them today as it is New Years day. I was going to call tomorrow but judging from some of these other reviews, stories of a rude manager and food not being refunded or replaced, I wont even bother. If they dont act right about people complaining when they get there food, I can just imagine what it would be like trying to call two days later. I will just chalk it up but I wont be ordering from here again. This is my third time ordering and the food isnt even that good. Its not worth sucky service.

I love this place. i just happened to stop in for a cold one about a year ago and really enjoyed the warmth of the staff and quality of the food. i was looking for something other than the smoke filled, nat infested place that i used to DIVE into (only because it was walking distance from my home). The Pizza Pub was literally a breath of fresh air. They even served Blue Moon with fresh orange slices in an extremely cold glass. The fact that they had 4 or 5 plasma screens and a big 80 inch high definition projector screen only served to increase my affinity for this place. Sports, good food and company and no second hand smoke is what i was looking for. I found it... and now they even serve great breakfast as well. Watch out iHop!! S.A.M.

I usually enjoy the food that is cooked at the pizza pub but not only was the food over cooked and some burnt, but the bar tender appeared intoxicated, loud and flirtatious, I understand she works for her tips but i thought i was at a strip tease bar. The owner was on location and im not sure if he noticed (dont know how you couldnt) but he didnt address the situation. I know Im just one customer who was disgusted by the bartenders actions, if i wanted to go to a strip club i would have went somewhere else. As far as the food goes it is usually very good but this time it was just nasty, yes i did eat it, because i didnt want to go back or wait another minute in that place! Bring back the good cooks and nice bartenders!

Terrible delivery driver. Asked for 5$ back in change, and he responded with "no ill give you 2" then turned around and proceed to walk back to his car. Once I called the store, the delivery driver called back demanding reason why I called his boss to tell him what a shitty job he did. Driver called 2 times in 1 minute while I was in the bathroom, then proceeded to not give me my change back, especially when the store demands a delivery fee on top of total charge. I ordered a "buffalo chicken pizza" and there was barely even any buffalo sauce on it. I tried to give them a chance rather than ordering from my regular pizza joint. but these people dont deserve my money!

Pizza is average this time I went. The crust is a little hard like crackers. I just ordered two slices so its probably from the reheating the slices that it became like that. I will have to edit my review once I order a whole pie. They do have very decent prices and thus will make me want to go back more often to try other things as well.

This place is terrible. The employees do *nothing* to control their patrons. Fights occur, a shooting happened not too long ago, and just last night a fight started there that spilled out to the store next door. The pizza pub is DANGEROUS, stay away. The police arriving is becoming a far too common event. .

Great Bar experience. Awesome service and food all in one. Owner is very funny and ensured that my food was out quickly as I was in a rush. While food was cooking enjoyed a nice cool brew! =)

This is a great local spot. Interior decor is simple and tasteful. Theyve got beer and the pizza is great! Generous toppings and the pie looks artisanal. Im coming back for more!

The burgers are good but depending on the day the bartenders are Mediocre. Fridays are the best though, its 5 dollar long island night and Kareoke so thats always a good time.

Karaoke on Friday nights is easy. Drinks are pretty cheap, but the crowd is not quite my style. Discount pizza at the end of the night hits the spot.
