Never, ever again. Went to McKenzies the other night for dinner. The waitress was pleasant, attentive and was the best part of the experience, but unfortunately could not make up for the kitchen and lack of cleanliness. The dining area and bar area was dark and dank and made you wonder what they were trying to hide. I ordered wings, fish tacos and a lemonade. The lemonade came out in a glass which had globs of ketchup on the inside and which because of the lack of lighting, I did not notice until I had already drank half. The waitress brought out another drink. The wings came out burnt, some were black, which I could not eat. The waitress offered to bring out a new order, so I said sure. Sixty seconds later, a food runner brought out the new order. But...... they were the same wings, only with a fresh coating of hot sauce! These went back as well. The fish tacos were supposed to be mahi mahi. They were edible, but were much too fishy and watery, so I suspect they were not mahi mahi as the menu had described. The sides were cold. Disappointed with the whole experience and ready to leave I visited the restroom to wash up. While I was in the restroom, one of the cooks came in and used the urinal, finished using the urinal, flushed the urinal, and left the restroom to return to the kitchen. Thats right folks, the man that cooks your food at Mckenzies does not wash his hands after urinating at the urinal. Disgusted, disappointed, and still hungry, we left the restaurant. I will never go back to this disgusting place. Btw. I was up half the night, because I was so sick from the food at Mckenzies. Never, never again.

My mother and I used to go here all the time, it was one of our favorites! I decided that I wanted to go to McKenzies for my 23rd birthday! I do not like drinking with my meals but my brother and parents love having a wine or beer while they eat, like most people. So as my parents and brothers ordered their drinks (yes we like to sample wines and beers for taste not for effect) and we continued to eat, my mom offered me a sip to try her drink. I took a sip and went on with my meal. around 10 minutes later a man came to my table and said "Excuse me my manager saw you take a sip of that drink. Therefor we will have to take the drink., but we will take it off you bill" We were all shocked but it didnt seem like a big deal because we did not have to pay for it and the situation was handled. The man than proceeded to take a drink OUT OF MY MOTHERS HAND and walked away. We were shocked! We understood the first drink, but the second drink, WOW! My mom asked to talk to the manager because she was confused on why they took both drinks. We then found out the man that came up to us WAS THE MANAGER, after he told us he wasnt! He than proceeded to speak to my mother in a condescending tone. I was so shocked! This used to be one of our favorite restaurants. I guess they switched over management! Horrible service and horrible attitudes. I dont like people talking down to my mother.

I have just finished having lunch at your location in Glen Mills, I was impressed with the food (what made it to our table), appetizers, soup and kids meals were all wonderful as well as the bar drinks. We were busy talking about how good things were when I realized that my grandsons had just finished up watching an hour long video on my phone and we still didn’t have our main meal (Steak Salad and Fish & Chips). I also noted that the couple across from us were already served their meals (they arrived over 30 minutes after us). At this point I requested our meals to go, as we had already been seated for over an hour. Well, we waited another 35 minutes for our salad and fish/chips to arrive in a to go bag, at this point the server didn’t even come back to the table, another server brought the food and check. I was still nice enough to leave a tip! I honestly don’t believe our order was placed until I requested it to be boxed. This was the first visit to McKenzie’s and we were so impressed with the food that arrived at the table. I can’t tell you how disappointed this was that we didn’t even get to try our meals. With so many great places to eat in the area I was very surprised of the poor service. I did mention all of these issues to the manager at the front desk, his only response was he was sorry. I expected more than that for a $90.00 lunch.

Ive been coming here for years. Their packages for events are really well priced. You cant find what you get here for the price anywhere else in Chester County. We had my Moms 60th surprise birthday here and my rehearsal dinner for my wedding. Both times the food was great and the service was top notch. I will say that their beers are not my favorite. This is coming for a girl who only drinks beer and not hard liquor, so I may be pickier than some. Im always dissatisfied with their beers. The food is good. I like that they give you a beer with brunch. The first time I went to brunch I had checked their hours online. It said they opened 30 minutes before they actually did. We walked in and the two girls at the hostess desk were very rude about it. I told them that it was on their website that they opened early but they just said wed have to come back. I own a small business, the way they dealt with this situation was terrible. I would have offered a drink and a table, apologized for the error and asked that we were patient while the kitchen opened. Im not a rude person and I always try to give the business the benefit of the doubt, since I wish more people would do it for me, but this really made me angry! All in all - good food, bad beer, great group parties and iffy service. Id definitely give it a try and form your own opinion.

Horrible Service!!! My wife and I just had dinner. When we arrived we requested to sit outside. The gentleman went outside to check availability. We waited 7 or 8 minutes but the man did not return. We mentioned it to someone else and he took us to a table. There were a couple of tables available. My wife and I asked for a glass of water with our drinks. We got the alcoholic drinks but no water. She asked again and 10 minutes later, still no water. The waiter came back and we asked for a 3rd time. The waiter said he was sorry... 5 minutes later, he walks by us again with no water. My wife then walked over to the bar to get herself a glass of water. When our food came, it was brought by a different gentleman. I asked him for a coke. He ended up forgetting my coke as well. Ive never experience such a lack of attentiveness at this level. The food was great at least...
