Ill never forget my visit to the Square Bar. My next door neighbors wife owns a business nearby and she has many a time said how friendly and great the place was. Her workplace employs twenty or so locals and they all used to frequent this place. Must be good! So my neighbor and I hopped on our bikes and ran from Oxford to West Chester. A beautiful day, gorgeous ride and anticipation of a cold one at our destination was on the cards. The first two parts of our plan were superb... the cold one never happened. As soon as we walked in, with our leathers and obvious biking attire I got a weird vibe from both staff and yokels, sorry locals. It was like a movie record scratch where everyone in there stopped talking and just stared. We sat at the bar and the very first words from the bar tender were "Are you two on bikes? I wont serve you". I honestly thought she was joking. She wasnt. Yes bikers are persona non grata at this place. Having felt like second class citizens but not wanting to perpetuate the stereotype that bikers are bad guys we just looked at each other, shrugged and left without issue. The locals were grinning into their pints like children as we walked out as quickly as we walked in. Classy move there Square Bar. But just as we were mounting our steeds a man ran up and said we could come back in if we moved our bikes off their lot. A suitable retort in the four letter range was offered to the man and we scooted off to a more friendly bar in West Chester. They were happy to take our money. It turns out apparently that a biker was injured or something years ago in the parking lot and sued the establishment. So their discrimination was based on that. How unbelievable is that? If the man was ginger would they refuse to serve redheads from then on? Childish and pathetic. Upon returning home and informing my friends wife she contacted the manager whom she knew. "Oh come back, your husband is more than welcome - all just a misunderstanding." No it wasnt. Square Bar lost a lot of business that day. I hope the readers of this review take note, whether youre a biker or not, when faced with such petty, asinine behavior theres only one word. Avoid!

Friendly crowd and staff. Great blue collar kind of bar with fair prices, good food, and lots of sports on Tvs. Darts and shuffle board too. Reminds me Delco bars.

Just dont go on Thursday. Bobby is very disrespectful. I look young, so I understand being carded. However, to be treated the way I was, like a child, is ridiculous.

Food and atmosphere was generally great but the item I ordered (crabcake with dirty rice) didnt note that it included meat.

Total dive bar. Has excellent cheese steaks for a good price. Usually a dj plays on the weekends and it can get crowded.

"Dive" bar at its best! Just a fun low key place to go to enjoy some good and cheap food and drinks with friends.

Food is terrible, and drinks arent cheap, but its nice being in a bar that doesnt scream COLLEGE for once.
