Poor management. Wish I could give this place 0 stars after the experience I just dealt with here. I will start off by saying I have eaten here several times before and it was a decent dining experience. However after my most recent trip to il granaio I will not be returning. I had planned a nice evening for my fiancee and myself and had tickets for an event at 7:30. We made a reservation at il granaio for 6:00. (We would soon learn that reservations mean nothing at this garbage establishment) So we walk in give the guy our name and he tells us we will have to wait a few minutes while our table was prepared. Thats fine this is a common thing even though we had a reservation. So 10 to 15 minutes go by as larger reservation tables walk in and are sat immediately. So then the guy working the host stand casually walks up to us and informs us a larger table has come in earlier in the night with additional guests and that because of this we would have to wait an additional 45mins. So I understand his reasoning that its a better financial decision to not piss off a 20 top for bringing in extra people and royally screw over a two top. Although I understand his reasoning, I do not agree with it one bit. So when I expressed I was displeased with this, he became incredibly rude. I was mad he did not offer any compensation, but I was even more mad that he didnt even say he was sorry. He knew when he sat those people earlier that he would screw over someone. And by the look on his face, he could care less. So then we were left to find a table somewhere at 6:30 which didnt happen. So thanks greasy il granaio manager for the wonderful date night!

This is one of our favorite places to go. We have celebrated many birthdays, anniversaries, New Years Eve, and just plain celebrating for many years. You always get great service, fabulously delicious food, at decent prices. However, the last time we were there, back in April, they had a notice posted on their chalkboard that they would be initializing a $8.00 per bottle corkage fee. We havent been back since, as we feel this is extremely high. The City restaurants dont even charge that, if they do charge a corkage fee. We feel they are just now taking advantage of their popularity. I feel this is one way to become unpopular very quickly. Hopefully, they will decide to do away with this fee. If not, when we decide to return, we will just uncork our bottles at home.

Il Granaio is an excellent restaurant. For appetizers we had the octopus and the brussel sprouts, and both were perfectly cooked. Main courses were a branzino filleted tableside, and the gnocci. Again, both were delicious. The service was very good - waiter was extremely knowledgeable and friendly, waters were re-filled before they were empty, etc. The atmosphere is very warm and welcoming. And it doesnt break the bank. Most entrees were priced around $18-25, with appetizers around $7-12. Since its a BYOB, you can bring a couple nice bottles from home. We will definitely be back!

This is our absolute favorite restaurant and we have been around. The service is impeccable and very friendly. The house salad, well, we could make a meal out of it. The hummus and olive oil to go with the crusty on the outside, soft on the inside bread is just wonderful. We have never had a bad meal here and we go quite often. It is so good that it makes me nervous. I dont want them moving on to bigger and better (couldnt be better) things. It does get crowded so early is best. Lunch is a great option if you cant make dinner. You wont be sorry.

Especially after so many different restaurants that occupied the same space struggled, Im happy to say that Il Granaio has done extremely well. Every time Ive gone it has been crowded, and with reason. It has a warm atmosphere, an extensive menu, and excellent food. You really get the impression that many of the customers that come here are loyal regulars. The location isnt necessarily the best (which I think is why past restaurants struggled), but clearly it has good enough food that it doesnt even matter.

Ive been to Il Granaio multiple times and have always had a wonderful experience. The place always feels warm and inviting, and the food is spectacular. Its reminiscent of authentic, home style food straight from Italy, with a mix of innovation based on current trends. The BYOB status only adds to its allure, in my opinion, as you can enjoy your preference of wine while youre eating.

This place was an excellent find! All the local Italian restaurants & BYOBs ive been to in the past few years in delco simply dont compare. The food is really good and fresh and the service is professional yet relaxed. The value with it being a BYOB is excellent, we will be back for more.

I was pleasantly surprised. We were in the area and my family took me here for an impromptu Fathers Day dinner. Wow! The food was incredible. The atmosphere was lively and the staff super friendly. If you are near this place, STOP HERE AND EAT! I will go back the next time I am close.

I love their food. This restaurant is one of our favorites. The fact that its a BYOB is an attraction. But they recently instituted a corkage fee. $8.00 per bottle!!! Sorry, but we arent paying that. We will go for lunch from now on and just have iced tea. Just cant go along with that!!

They just got their liquor license. You can still byob, but they will charge an $8 bottle fee. Hope that doesnt last long. Delicious fresh made food. Locally sourced ingredients. Service is always supurb, warm atmosphere. Its always packed on the weekends, you will need a reservation.

Great Italian place to eat. I wouldnt eat Italian anywhere else! The octopus appetizer is to die for! The rigatoni eggplant dish is the best! Good place for large parties too! The waiters are spectacular and all the workers there are friendly and nice. Great experience.

We have dined at Il Granaio several times over the years. The food is always excellent and the service is outstanding. Even though we no longer live in the Glen Mills area we still meet friends and family at Il Granaio for celebrations or just to enjoy fine dining.

Visited on a Wednesday late in the afternoon. Place was quiet and empty. Food and service were both excellent. Guests had salmon, chicken parm, and shrimp with homemade spag. All three $75. Brought a bottle of Gran Reserva, went well with all three. Ill be back.

Went there for 1st time, Friday 2/12 with friends. Excellent Waiter, Greg, made recommendations that were out of this world! The octopus app was tender and very flavorful. Highly recommend this restaurant. Need reservations, place was full at 6:30pm

Does not honor reservations. Not at all like the pictures, advertising it as a family style restaurant. Very loud, tables are small and crammed right next to each other. If you are looking for a quiet evening out, this is not the place.
