We used to go to this restaurant some years ago and then, after a couple of marginal food experiences, decided to go elsewhere. Last night, when one of our favorite restaurants were full, we decided to try Belle Monte again and quickly discovered that little has changed. There are some things about this restaurant that are really great. The wonderful and talented pianist still plays throughout the evening, and some of the food is quite good. That said, the manu is quite large for this small establishment, so knowing what to order would be imporatant. Last night, I ordered a Beef Fillet and my wife ordered a chicken risotto dish. While the mashed potatoes and vegetables were excellent on the beef dish and the meat cooked to the temp requested, the fillet was thinly sliced in, what seemed to be, an attempt to disguise the chewy quality of the meat. The risotto on the chicken dish was sticky and lacked the sundried tomato flavor advertised, appearing and tasting more like something out of a can. The chicken breast was not skin-on as advertised and it was so terribly over seasoned - extrermely salty - that my wife sent it back. Rather than take the entire dish back, the kitchen prepared replacement chicken and brought it out on a small plate. This time it was not seasoned at all. We also ordered a couple glasses of wine with dinner, and quickly discovered that the restaurant makes no attempt to advertise the winery or vintage of glasses they sell - and for good reason. We tried a Cabernet, Merlot, Pino Grigio and Chardonnay. All were clearly inexpensive wines that were barely drinkable. Then there was the service. We sat at the piano bar for 10 minutes and finally had to request service. That resulted in pulling a waitress to the bar who seemed rushed and uninterested. Our table waitress, a new gal who had worked there only a few months, also seemed rushed at first, but later sympathized and seemed to understand our food and wine concerns. This place has a good ambiance and now is, apparently going to be renovated. One can only hope that they also renovate the food, wines and service. We would rate this restaurant a solid "average", but since there are now many area restaurants that do much better, this will not be our choice in the future.

We have a traditional Italian Dinner on Christmas. Our family has been ordering from Bella Monte for 30-40yrs. New owners this year. Only had one pk of Italian Provolone and only 3 sticks of pepperoni. When I said something to the owner he said things happen. Well that was not all that happened. I cut my fingers twice trying to peel the skin off the pepperoni. One of the sticks snapped in half. That pepperoni was very crunchy and spicey. I cannot say how sick I am of the indifference the owner showed. He said he cant run business on Deli and was closing it down. I have never eaten in the restaurante but a friend of mine has been there and she said the food was terrible and the table next to them was served burnt food. CHANGE THE NAME OF BUSINESS. THIS IS NO LONGER BELLA MONTE. I dont think the business will still be there next year. To the previous owners I am sorry you sold your very well respected business to a complete idiott. Good Luck Bella Monte. It took some srambling but I found another place to get my stuff. SHAME ON YOUR ATTITUDE.

Perfect evening; perfect food; perfect ambiance with lightly playing piano music in the background; wonderful and attentive staff; did I mention the food is divine and will take you to heaven?!?!?!!! We were recommended to go to the restaurant for dinner on a date night but I have to say it turned out more than that! We had a very attentive staff, beautiful and relaxing ambiance, absolutely divine food, and we loved browsing the shopping area on the other side of the entrance hallway that featured kitchen utensils, wine, aprons, candles, and other wonderful gift items. AND, the restaurant has a deli in the back where you can purchase delicious cheeses, salads, Italian ice creams, etc. If you havent yet seen or tried out this restaurant, I would HIGHLY recommend it for your next important dinner!

I recently hosted a bridal shower/lunch at Bella Monte. Robin was extremely helpful with the planning of the event and was there the day of the shower to make sure everything went smoothly. All of the guests were impressed with the service, the atmosphere and the FOOD! It was all outstanding. I highly recommend Bella for a good lunch or dinner with friends, and certainly if you are looking to have an event, this is the place to go. Its very reasonably priced and the selection is great. I only just found out about it back in June when I was having a girls shopping day with a girlfriend and we stopped in for lunch. I was able to speak with Robin that same day about event planning and the rest went seamlessly. Thank you to the entire staff of Bella Monte. Now go check it out for yourself!

One of our favorites. We originally went to Bella Monte with a Groupon, and were so taken with it that we a.) bought another Groupon the next time it came around, and b.) have been back twice even without a Groupon. My husband and I are eclectic people, and Bella Monte fits us perfectly, from its indoor-garden-feel decor to the pleasant variety on the menu. On our most recent visit, we took my mother-in-law. They were offering a special herb-infused water at no extra charge, and it was so refreshing for the summer. Our favorite appetizer is by far and away the Roasted Garlic--the flatbread and cheese it comes with is so good! Recently, we also bought their house-made marinara sauce from the little shop, and it was also incredibly fantastic. Highly recommend.

I never cease to be both pleased and amazed whenever Im here. Their wine pairing events are phenomenal and allow me to taste a variety of wines in a casual atmosphere. The food is truly out of this world – even foods of which Im not usually fond, I typically enjoy here. (I particularly recommend any kind of pork here... And whatever they put on special. Seriously, I dont care what it is, its awesome.) The owners are hands-on and involved – dont be surprised if they come by your table – and absolutely trust their recommendations! 10 out of 10 would come again. And the atmosphere is fantastic – cozy, but nice. Appropriate for a wide range of audiences and price points. I highly, highly recommend.

As always Bella Monte was a great place to eat. We has Elissa as our server and she did an excellent job. She was always smiling and very friendly. The food was delicious which is to be expected every time we go there. Also, as a tip, go with the coconut cake for dessert, you wont be disappointed. It can be a little pricey, but you get what you pay for. If you want some cheap semi decent meal that is nothing to write home about, then maybe you should try one of those lame chain places. If you want good food, excellent serivce, a nice atmostphere and GREAT desserts, go the Bella Monte.

It is clear from some of the reviews that everyone has there own opinion of this establishment. I have to write a review after seeing some of the ones that had been posted. I frequent the restaurant and the deli. They have some of the best Italian pastries and breads around. Now I will respond to some complaints. This is not a rent a party room, it is a small business. If you take up large amount of room and dont order things like desert it cost them money. Thats what business is. Next, it is and Italian restaurant not a sea food restaurant. And Servers do not work for free.
