This USED to be my favorite Italian restaurant. Apparently they have no concern for food allergies. I SPECIFICALLY asked if there was broccoli in their side vegetable and was assured that it was just carrots, spinach and zucchini. I was happily eating my delicious shrimp scampi and munching away (and mixing in) the side veg....only to discover the dreaded broccoli. I infomercial our server (owner) and she simply said "oh really" ...no "Im sorry to inflict horrible pain on you...have a cup of coffee on us"....nothing. My date night (31st anniversary) has been ruined and I sit here hoping that I didnt ingest any broccoli and waiting for the horrible pain to overtake me. Allegria....you broke my heart and my disappointment runs deep.

I was a little disappointed. Allegria is cute and has a romantic atmosphere but it was a little too quiet when we went. The service was a little slow, but the staff was nice and not overly attentive. I had the eggplant with penne noodles in red sauce. My husband had a veal entree. The eggplant was good, the noodles tasted like they came from a box and the marinara was pretty bland. The veal was good, but nothing to write home about. Normal sized portions for both entrees. Neither of us felt compelled to try the desserts. Appetizers are about $10, entrees range from $20 to $30, desserts about $10. Also, it is BYOB.

I have been here several times, with many groups of friends and family. The food is delicious. Unfortunately, on a few occasions, we have had bad experiences and the latest was the deal breaker when we were told to "quiet down" sitting a room full of diners who all became friendly with each other. Laughing, joining together in conversation and having a complete blast. We all felt like children in class being scolded by the teacher. It was a shame to put down people coming together as a community especially during these stressful worldly times. We will NEVER return.

We ate there based upon the recommendation of my husbands co worker. Talk about bland, tasteless, overpriced food. Nothing we had was even decent. Calamari had no taste at all. Both of our pasta dishes were terrible. Who ever heard of putting green olives in puttanesca anyway? And the $9.00 Black Forrest Cake was a sliver and was so dry and stale it must have been made last month. Save your money. Oh and the service??? If you like your check thrown on the table as the server walked by, this is the place for you.

Went there for my birthday with my daughter and family(3 grandkids), and everyones plate was clean when we were done. Food was great; service great; prices-well it was good so it was worth it! Cant wait to go back. And, as far as the person complaining about the puttanesca with green olives-it can be made with either black or green olives. I make it using both! Overall, it was a great meal experience.

Both the service and the food were excellent. Chef Sal and his wife were friendly and warm, making us feel at home. Everyones meals were top notch and the selection on the menu is vast. I recommend the seafood risotto highly. All of the desserts are made on site by Chefs wife and they are fabulous. It has quickly become our favorite Italian restaurant. VERY VERY TASTY!

I tried Allegria tonite for first time, got take out and I only wish id tried it sooner. The food is excellent, delicious authentic Italian food cooked perfectly. The gravy had that old world ,slow simmered taste, perfection. This is a great little place, very charming, great service, I cant wait to go back n try some other selections on the menu.!!

I have been here three times. First with my husband and twice with friends. I have had great meals each and every time I have been to Allegria. The food was far from bland as another reviewer commented. I would return in a second!

Great food, great service, intimate ambiance. You need to be traveling north on Rte. 100 to turn (right) into Welsh Pool Rd, which comes up quick just before Rte. 113.
