Ive written a review on my last trip to this Restaurant and now cant find it. This was my favorite place in the area to dine. The food is good, sometimes exceptional and the wine is reasonably priced. We overlooked the servers lack of savoir faire when they reach in front of you, bump your head w/ their elbows, or tell you "NO", you cant have a side of pasta, it wouldnt go w/ your entre". Our last visit, (7 of us) resulted in their rudeness run amok. Three of us ordered mussels, sauce is great. Two of us had unopened mussels in the dish. When we asked the owner to replace them he refused, reached into my dish, pried a mussel open and said, there eat that. When I demurred, saying that if shell fish dont open when cooked, they were probably already dead and we dont know for how long...and I again asked him to bring me 3 mussels to replace the unopened ones. He accused me of being unfair, said no he would not replace them. This was shocking behaviour to all of us. I will never initiate another visit to the Casa Bella and will only go there again if Im invited to a group dinner and cant get out of it.

Been to Casa Bella many times over the years.Food is always exceptional.Service has become very slow over the years.Might have to wait a long time for another drink. Last time there was a birthday party group of 8 and we brought in a small birthday cake and it was like the end of the world to the owner. It was just a small little cake made for 1 person. The owner made such a stink that it ruined the whole night..Didnt matter that we cranked up a $400 bill. Was upset we brought in a little cake for the birthday boy. Very disturbing that it made that big of a deal. And to make a long story short. We even had desserts..It was a ridiculous scene., and its the last time any of our group has gone there. Aside from my venting about that nonsense,It is a really good restaurant.Definitely worth a visit.

MY 3RD AND LAST VISIT TO THIS RESTURANT.This place is not gluten free friendly. On my first visit I was greated by a waitress who was very help ful in ordering the meal of my choice not hers and it was gluten free, as I have Celiac disease and I can not tolerate gluten, it was delicious. On my 2nd and 3rd visits Imy waiter who I belive was one of the owners and when I asked for a meal on the menu which was fish to be prepared gluten free as it had an egg sauce which is prepared with flour and I asked him to use corn starch ,as not every resturant has a gluten free flour, in preparing the sauce, he told me he does not have any cornstarch in the kitchen. He made me a bland piece of fish with a mound of tomatoes over it.

Restaurant is dark & dingy & owners are unpleasant. Being from Kosovo, possibly a cultural difference but theyre impossibly rude. Will never go again & that was the consensus of the 10 people at our table! A simple meal of pasta & meatballs was inedible. Any negative comment at this restaurant will have you wishing you never said a word. One of the owners actually yelled at one of our guests for asking if shrimp could be added to his salad. Several members of our group are foodies & i was the one who recommended this place. As the title says, never again. Our bill was close to $700.

Too often do people just assume "Italian" is spaghetti, pizza, and meatballs. Its not. I dont often go out for Italian food as I often cook it myself, but this place is truly a gem of Scranton. The staff runs like a well-oiled machine and reminds me of how high-end restaurants used to run decades ago (a dedicated bar server, waiters, servers, and desert servers all dressed in button-down shirts, dress pants, ties, etc.). Fresh bread is delicious and I wish theyd put olive oil instead of butter packets, but thats really my only complaint.

All I can say is WOW! the food here is DELICIOUS. I was pleasantly surprised with how GOOD the food tastes, from the house salad (which I think should have a different name because its not like every other house salad weve had) to desert. I never have desert but with how GOOD this food was, we HAD TO try it and Im glad we did. I have never had Italian food like this. Were leaving full and happy. Thank you for the great service and DELICIOUS food♡ we will be back!

I was visiting family for the holidays and had dinner here one evening. What a wonderful restaurant! Casa Bella operates as if it was located on some fancy resort, or some fancy high end restaurant in a large metropolitan city! Food was outstanding! Service impeccable! The servers have each others backs (checking on tables other than their own) and the owner has his eye and pulse on everything; very attentive. I was beyond impressed!!

If you want real Italian this is the place. Im pretty sure I just had a recipe from the old world in the Penne Rionese. The food was fantastic, as well as the wait staff. Great atmosphere, and large portions make it worth the price. Great place to take your significant other. Warm, cozy and romantic. Try the desserts, you wont be disappointed.

Its Saturaday night... Super busy.. And Still.... PERFECTION! I had the Chicken Gorgonzola & my husband had the short ribs... Both were to die for! Both the house salad and the Caesar salad perfectly dressed... Spinach and garluc olive oil also exquisite.... As good as or better than Bostons Northend standards... Cant wait till back in area!

Ate there on a Monday night in August 2016, wife born in Scranton, attending her 50th high school reunion. Conclusion? Casa Bella is ABSOLUTELY the Best Italian restaurant in Scranton, and maybe the best restaurant of any nationality on the entire East Coast. Tried to go back on Tuesday night, but its closed on Tuesdays. Dont miss it!

Wonderfully warm and friendly family restaurant with amazing food! My wife, daughter and I stopped in during a long road trip home, based on an impromptu Google search. Could not have been happier. The owners treated us like family. Makes us wish we lived locally, as Casa Bella would be a regular choice for dining out!

I would be hard pressed to find a better, more affordable restaurant in Northeastern PA! Wonderful Italian food, solid wine list (which is hard to find in our area), the best service in the region (without a doubt). From the outside it doesnt look like a place youd want to dine, but trust me, its a great pick!

Great place to eat. Food is consistently good (Always prepared the same way) All of the employees and owners are very pleasant, they make me feel welcome every time i eat there. Unfortunately i think that the people who have written negative reviews would have done so if Emeral Lagassi served them himself.

Probably the classiest Italian restaurant in the Scranton area Sensational food formally attired waitstaff and truly traditional Italian offerings free parking Outback and a really great cup of espresso coffee. Excellent place for a romantic dinner . Not cheap but you wouldnt expect them to be .

Probably the best Italian spot in the city! Here dinner isnt just a meal, its an experience. Put on your best suit and tie, get a bottle of wine for the table, and ask ask for Tony to serve you. You will not be disappointed! Props to Sammy, Tony, and the team; you guys run a tight ship!
