Going downhill- We ate there the Friday before Easter, 7pm- the place was deserted! The beer garden a block away was packed! I shouldve known it was going to be a bad idea when my wife went in to put our names in for a table while I parked the car and she said there was no wait. Then, as they took us through the kitchen, the kitchen table that was always the coveted seat, had (clean) dishes and napkins and such piled on it and employees sitting there texting. The service was slow and lacking- took them forever to come to our table, when the bread came, there was no oil or balsamic offered, and we quickly devoured it waiting for our food to come- the food took an insane amount of time to arrive. We were considering leaving and probably should have but it was getting late and the kids were hungry. When the order arrived, it was just ok, nothing special. The Chicken Saltimbocca was the best part but not quite as good as I remembered it. For the money we spent, it just wasnt the same. The server left our drinks go empty and had to be reminded to refill- my wife said to him to bring me 2, as a hint. He didnt get the hint. At any one time there was only 2 other tables occupied at most- for the middle portion of our meal we were the ONLY ones in there. It was creepy in a way, and the employees seemed obsessive about cleaning and putting the dishes away. Id think that if you were a server and it was a dreadfully slow night, youd be waiting on your customers hand and foot- you know, for tips and all. NOPE. This place cant continue to have nights like that or they wont be there much longer.

We went to Buca de Bepo last night for dinner. What a let down! When we got married, we had our rehearsal dinner there, and it was GREAT!! SOmewhere along the line, everything went out the window!!! We got there last night, and were asked if we had reservations, I said no, and then was told there was a 45 minute wait. We decided to go have a cocktail, and the bar was ROASTING!!! We we told the air conditioner was broken!! We decided to eat in there, anyway. We ordered fried mozzarella, and were told they were out of that!! So, we ordered the garlic bread florentine. What we got was a DISGRACE!!! We got a piece of bread, cut into 4ieces, and were charged 15.00!! We also ordered sausage and peppers. We got 2 pieces of sausage and 3 or 4 strips of peppers, and that was 10.00!!! We ordered lasagna, and were told that we got that last piece!!! It was alright, but it wasnt anything to write home about. Not one time did our server come and ask if we needed anything, we even had to go get our utensils off another table!!!! When our dinner came, the girl put it on the table, and FINALLY noticed that we didnt have any plates. I guess we were supposed to use our fingers and eat right off the table!! And, even after all that we still gave the girl a pretty good tip, although she CERTAINLY didnt deserve it!!! Needless to say, its Arrivaderchi Buca de Bepo!!!!

My husband and I finally decided that we absolutely dislike chain restaurants. We way overpay and this restaurant way over charges for food that is metiocre. They get you at portion size and how great their food is but unfortunately the pasta is overdone, high in fat, doused in sauces and butter, and way overpriced. We ordered what we thought the healthiest and lightest of meals. We started with the antipasto salad with the dressing on the side. The salad was great, but lacked the meats that it advertised. Next we received the veal saltimbocca.i specifically asked the waiter to go really easy on cooking oil and to place butter sauce on the side. Waiter still brought the dish with butter on top with more sauce on the side. He apologized but still served it to us not considering my requests. I was not happy. The

This place sucked. The food was horrible and frozen..The interior decor was gaudy and dark. I was sitting next to kitchen, where I swear I saw a cat walking around. My waiter was awfuly nice and helpful, but I would recommend getting pasta from Pizza Hut over this dump. Please save yourself the $15 per entree and go get some Chef Boyardee for a 10th of the price. Crap food and awful atmosphere. Die Buca Di Peppo! I might just move out of the Exton area because this place is located in my hometown. I think that the Crypt Keeper lived there, cause it looked like his underground lair. Good idea of them having a bar, Im sure the staff needs a drink here and there to put up with the crap music, atmosphere and free food. The Meatballs are better from Wawa.

While the atmosphere here is fun, the food leaves something to be desired. The portions are not bad for the price -- two small plates will easily feed two people, and maybe three -- but the flavor is often lacking, particularly in the sauce. Both our dishes with sauce had the same lack of taste -- our impression was that they had simply taken cans of Hunts diced tomatoes, dumped them into a pot and simmered them down, without a speck of seasoning! The sauce was just bland, bland, bland! We did like the "meat lovers" pizza (cant recall the actual name), which had lots of big chunks of ground beef and sausage, peppers, etc., and a thin, soft crust; here the sauce didnt matter much due to all the other distinct flavors.

We ate at Buca Di Beppo before and remembered some good things about this restaurant. This dining, however, sent us out the door forever. Starting with beverages, the wine was sour, and the order of Ginger Ale was replaced with a watered down Sierra Mist. The appetizer, garlic bread, was the only good food. This was followed by overcooked lasagna, a dry, near tasteless tiramisu, and cold cappuccino. When we asked the waitress about the cold coffee, she told us “this is the way we make it.” We have traveled to Italy, and other places in Europe, and nowhere did we encounter a cold cappuccino. Between the poor food and screaming babies, we left Buca Di Beppo tired, hungry, and with headaches, never to return.

lasagna must have been thawed once or twice and then refrozen before being baked and served to us. It was served in a bread loaf pan and dry. Coffee at $3.90 was served cold. Food to our party of 10+ Was served without announcing what it was... just putting it on the table for us to move around. That includes salads that we thought were for us to share... but two people actually order them for themselves. Lack of communication and mediocre food. Some of the other dishes looked good. Ours was bad. Ive eaten at three other Buccas, and this was the worst. Or one main waitress was very nice and personality and professionalism, however . Thank you again for that!

Ive been going to the Exton Buca regularly since it opened. On my last 2 visits (Sunday 3/19 for dinner) I was pleased with the food and service was OK, but am extremely annoyed with being in a restaurant thats trying to make you feel like youre in Italy and plays nothing but motown music. Dont get me wrong, I love motown, BUT NOT WHEN IM IN AN ITALIAN RESTAURANT TRYING TO HAVE SOME KIND OF AMBIANCE!!. I asked the manager to "please put something on close to Italian", but was told this was a corporate feed and there was nothing he could do about it. I wont be back. If I want a meal with motown music Ill go to Wawa and get a hoagie.
