My wife and her friends dined there last evening. She texted inquiring whether she should bring a takeout item home for me, and I affirmed after a quick look at the Takeout menu. Our family dines at least once a month at our favorite Thai restaurant (in Phoenixville ... not the one with an animal in the name), and we consider it the best bang for the buck restaurant around. I requested a "standard," i.e., Pad Thai with shrimp ... online listed at $13. When it arrived, I noted the price was $14 ... no big deal ... prices change, but if a business cannot be current with their offerings, it suggests it may be a clue to other issues. The takeout was not only the poorest Pad Thai I can recall, it had a measly FOUR shrimps in the entire entree. Pathetic and certainly unworthy of future consideration.

This is the best sushi I have had in the Philadelphia area. Whether you eat-in or take-out its always a great culinary experience. The place is BYOB so by all means bring some sake if you so indulge. They will even warm it up for you in the traditional sake serving container and provide you with cups. If you go definitely get some Miso soup and the Wonderful roll lives up to its name. Decor is aesthetically pleasing as well. All thats missing is karaoke and maybe a geisha?!

My favorite restaurant! Ive had the pad Thai, sushi, garden salad, green tea ice cream, general tsaos and some other dishes and everything has been delicious. The service is awesome, ask Jerry to do a magic trick! I love the interior design. I crave the food every day!! Their fish is amazingly fresh and all the rolls are good (especially the yellowtail scallion and the New Yorker).

This was one of our favorite places to go but the last few times the service and food have not been as good. We were there tonight and waited over one hour for our food and then it came in one plate at a time. Two of us were finished for over 30 mins and one person in our party still had not received his food. Im so sad!! I hope this place isnt going down hill.

We are here once a week, we are long time fans of sushi before this place opened. Im sad to say that all of the other sushi places we used to patronize are missed but a new better player has moved in. Step up your game because this place rocks. Sushi is always fresh and service is EXCELLENT. 10 out of 10 here. You cant go wrong.

Wonderful service, great atmosphere, good quality food. We and all of our friends have never been dissatisfied. My favorite dish is the Green Curry with Beef. They also have a fantastic Nabeyaki udon. Our personal favorite sushi dishes are the samurai roll and the spider roll.

Favorite sushi spot I have ever been too. The staff is literally waiting near your table if you need anything. Some people might not like it but I found it an example of phenomenal customer service. "Rock and Roll" is my favorite.(unsure if they still serve it)

2 words. GREAT.EVERYTHING!!! Sushi was amazing. Tom Kaa is the best around.(tom kaa is a soup). Also had a lo main dish that was to die for. If you like Asian food, this is where to go. Everything always great. If I could rate 6 stars, I would.

Excellent sushi. Nice clean restaurant. Reasonable prices. Lost one star on not having an authentic Thai Basil Chicken recipe. It was good, but not a true version of that recipe as it traditionally is served. Would def come back.

Can not handle large volumes of people. Very unorganized with no real host or hostess. Many customers were standing in front of restaurant, some for pick up and some to be seated, with no direction.

I LOVE UMAMIS FOOD! :) The sushi is amazing, the Thai food is exquisite, and the soups are great! I love the options they have for lunch! I highly recommend Umami! The atmosphere is lovely too!

Just had their sushi for lunch. It was amazing and reasonable. The lunch special is just $11 for 3 rolls(18 pieces) of sushi and soup. Well worth the money and Ill be a regular customer now

Fantastic. My wife and I lived in NYC for over 10 years and this place rivals many of the great sushi restaurants we ate at in NYC. VERY VERY GOOD QUALITY. Great space and BYOB!
