Went to this restaurant on March 12. We had a party of 8 and were seated in the smaller room as you enter the restaurant. There was another party of 8 along with a party of 12 already seated. The party of 8 were extremely loud and boisterous. It took 20 minutes for someone to come to our table and half of us still didnt even have a menu. Prices were high for what was served. Had the asparagus salad which consisted of 3 asparagus stalks along with baby spinach, oranges and overpowering onions. My entrée was the shrimp fra diavlo which provided me with 6 large shrimp, about an ounce and a half of homemade pasta all swimming in about a pint and a half of fra diavlo marinara gravy. We were surprised that none of the staff asked the loud group to tone it down a notch. We had to almost shout at each other to communicate at our table. When we provided the staff our displeasure with the noise, nothing was done. The staff (with the exception of the busboy who gave us water refills) appeared to have little or no training. Never came to check on us unless we had to grab them as they walked by. One of our party communicated his displeasure with his dinner to the owners wife and her response was "Im sorry." She did eventually give us each a small cannoli and stated "Here is a peace offering." To top it off, the following morning I had the pleasure of spending an inordinate amount of time on the stool. Wouldnt go back if you paid me.

We had a reservation for 8:00 but didnt sit until 8:25, not the end of the world...but it took a 1/2 hour to get a menu (8:55). We kept being ignored. By the time they got around to taking our order it was 9:20!!!! An hour and twenty minutes to take an order is just ridiculous. We didnt get our first course until 9:50. No one apologized, we asked for water twice to no avail. The wait staff was no were to be seen and if they did scoot by it was too quick to get their attention. our table was not cleared after or first course, so after about 25 minutes I bused our table own table. That got their attention but we still didnt get out of there until almost 11:00...outlandish! The food wasnt even that good. the apps were ok, those who ordered the ravioli liked it but my pork was way over cooked and dry. It was overall the worst experience, there were 6 of us and we all agreed. I also would like to add that we are avid foodies and love to go out to dinner - we dine out often. We also can be very forgiving of a busy restaurant but this was just way over the top.

I am moving out of Conshohocken today, and this will be the place I miss most. Just the right distance from the Spring Mill Corporate Center, this is the perfect lunch and after-work place for people in that building. I went there often for lunch which is a daily updated menu selection, by the chef/owner who you can watch through the kitchen, with indoor & outdoor dining, and it has complimentary sangria. The food is great and you will see standard Italian staples, as well as normal American lunch choices. You will not fall into the trap of "Ill have the usual" as with other lunch places. Service is great and provided by the family, Alisha is my favorite :-) Come back for dinner, too. They are always participating in the local Conhsohocken eatery events, and have a social presence. Pasta is handmade. If food is an important part of life, then Totaro is the place and the name you can trust to make life better.

Went there for a lunch with work collegues and we were treated well and the food was good. So I took my brother from Scotland. We booked at 8pm. Didnt get seated till gone 8 and then had to wait till gone 9 got our order to be taken. Really bad service. Do add salt to wound my dinner was burnt. It was horrid. Im not sure why we didnt walk out. I wish I complained at the time. Also we were put by the aircon. No mention of this when I booked. Terrible service. Not going back and wont recommend. Been to Italians in Phillie which had better service, food and were busier. Sure they apologised, but they were happy to take our cash. I wish I walked out. In the end it wasted my brothers last evening.

So we went in restaurant week... Res at 8.30...app came at 9.40!!! (After bread at least). Shrimp was 2 shrimp which was a little disappointing after 1 hour wait. Was about 40 minute wait for them to take order. We had the res at 8.30 and though we could go to the cinema after for a film at 9.45...we didnt leave the restaurant until 10pm (lucky we cancelled the cinema) Food was tasty. Nice atmosphere. Might try this place and give them another chance outside of restaurant week but not going to rush.

I eat out about 75% of my meals. I travel all over the place. Yet I can confidently say, this is one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. You wont find any super fancy setting, or snooty servers dressed like penguins, but there is a good chance the owner or his wife will stop by your table and say hello. All the food is very good and some of it is exceptional. Try it, you will like it. Also, their lunches are equally amazing. They make sandwiches that are all award worthy. Simply the best.

I can not say enough great things about this authentic Italian restaurant! The best Italian food in the area and on par with some of the really good Italian restaurants in NJ and NYC. Add in the fact that it is a bring your own and you cant go wrong. The wonderful service by Victoria and family goes a long way plus the homemade desserts, especially Nonas cake, make this place a true gem.

Noisy, unremarkable food and ambience, but more than anything, the service was terrible-- inexcusably slow and unresponsive, even as the night wore on and tables emptied. It took an entire meal to get a water glass refilled, and the time just to order and between courses was so long as to be noticeable. We would not consider returning.

Our favorite neighborhood spot. Get there early, sit outside, bring two bottles of wine and get the Vegetable Lasagna. Its nice service and everything youd expect from a family-run restaurant, including grandmas chocolate and vanilla cake for desert. A gem in conshohocken. Were lucky we can walk there!!

This is a nice little BYOB that has some great home cooked Italian food. They have a semi - exposed kitchen which is always nice to see. It just tells me that the chef cares about their food. The staff was friendly and it is a very popular spot among the locals. Reservations are strongly recommended.

A total gem! The Grilled Vegetable Lasagna is simply one of the great things I have ever eaten. It is a marvel of a dish that would win national awards if there was such a thing for Vegetable Lasagna. Never had a bad bite of anything and the service is personal and friendly.

We lived in town when this was take out service only. It was one of the first places we went back to upon our return from Chicago. Food remains very good. Family atmosphere in a small town. We will continue to go back for the home style meals in a cozy restaurant.
