I attempted to eat here on Friday November 22, 2013. I waited a few days to write the review to give myself time to step back and try to be more objective. I arrived at just after 6:30 PM On a Friday and decided to sit at the bar, which I often do as business traveler and find it better to be at the bar where there is a TV and perhaps someone to talk to. And usually I get faster service, which is what I wanted this day. I wanted to grab a quick meal and head back to the hotel. I waited a few minutes to get a menu which is understandable, especially since the bartender was also serving a section of tables in the restaurant. After a few minutes of looking over the menu I ordered the Gyro Platter (@ 6:44 PM I know the time because I was using my phone to access Facebook and looked at the time right after I ordered) which comes with a Greek salad. Then I waited and waited and waited. After about 20 minutes I asked the bartender about my food as I still had not even received my Greek salad. @7:13 I received what was supposed to be a Greek salad, but it had no dressing of any kind. I did not see the waitress/bartender for about 5 minutes, so I put on my coat and headed for the door. The waitress/bartender saw me and asked what was wrong. I explained that I had waited half hour just to get a salad and then it was not correct and I was not going to leave any of my hard earned money at this poor excuse of diner. First thing she did was go look at my salad, like I was going to lie about there being no dressing. Then she came back and apologized and said the kitchen was behind and made a mistake. I said I still was leaving but wanted to talk to the manager. After waiting about 5 minutes to talk to the manager. I could see him walk around the diner, but I was his last priority. He said the waitress told him what had happened and all he said was sorry. He made no offer to try to make things better and I felt that he did not care if I left with such a negative experience. So after 45 minutes all I had was an empty stomach and a heaping helping of frustration. I have no idea of the quality of the food because I never tasted it. My recommendation is to stay away.

We were here for the first time last Friday May 23, 2015. My boyfriend and I both worked in Conshohocken area and we always pass this place everyday. So on our way to our Memorial Weekend vacation... We decided to come here hoping to have a good breakfast before our more than 100 mile drive to the Poconos. On our way in, we notice the breakfast buffet, so once seated we inform our server named Amy that its our first time and instead of ordering if we can just do the buffet. The food was good and all, and I waited for a bit for the fresh cooked eggs. On my way back to the table, I noticed that Amy was chatting with my boyfriend, once seated, my boyfriend told me that Amy was telling him about leaving her child to a sitter and how she needs to pay the sitter $80 that day and she is only at $21 something... and I was like... really? So the next time Amy came to our table, she ask us how our are food and talk to us again about her situation, by then, I lost my appetite and just cant wait to leave... She left us eventually and went to another elderly couple and we overheard her telling the couple the same spiel. Dont misunderstand me, I felt sorry for her but I do not think thats the way to go to get more tips. My bf and I usually give more than 20% tips and we love diners! But this is the first time somebody was guilt trippin us for a tip. I WILL NEVER COME BACK HERE ANYMORE... The management needs to talk to this woman!

Went here for breakfast on a Sunday morning. It was packed, so I was thinking the place was probably great. Not so much. It was so crowded people were waiting inside and outside and at the bar. The man calling names never thought to check all three places when calling names like any other resturant in the world. So if you were outside or at the bar and your name was called he said o well and dropped the people that didnt hear to the bottom of the list. The soap in the bathroom was diluted with water. My boyfriend even commented that his soap was also diluted. So the diluted water soap is what the employees also use to wash their hands before they prepare the food. Next was the breakfast buffet which is the only time in my entire life at a buffet you use the same plate over and over again. AWFUL. My boyfriend wanted a milkshake the waitress confessed to us that their freezer broke and she wasnt sure how good it would taste because management let the ice cream melt and then refroze it all, which may be fine with ice cream I guess? But I cannot imagine owning a resturant and serving people food that I KNOW could possible get them sick. I would NEVER go here again.

I have been going to Andys Diner for years now. I usually go for breakfast or brunch but figured I would go for dinner on Sunday, July 2, 2017. The service was mediocre. The food was ok--I ordered a steak and stuffed shrimp..it was bland and the sweet potato side was basically sitting in a warm syrup concoction. The soups were tasty and the salad bar was decent. There was this loud group of men with a speaker on the table blaring their own music and singing / talking very loud...it was not very considerate and it seems that not one of the wait staff or management were phased by this noise. (Note to staff: in the future please have these men in the bar area to sing along to their music or put them in a separate room--not the main dining room) When we went up to pay the manager did not even say hello to us or ask us how our meal was...he was cold and uninterested. He didnt even split our bill correctly (two ways). I dont know if all these issues are because of a totally different wait staff in the evenings or if it is a new mindset since renovation and expansion. I am hesitant to try it again...but I think if I do all I will only go back for is breakfast / brunch.

Will not patronize this restaurant ever again. The waitress told us on 4 separate trips to our table how slow business was today and how she was a single mom who will not be making any money today after having to pay her babysitter $80 while she is at work not making any money. My husband and I could not believe we were being played in this manner to gain a good tip. We did leave our normal tip as there was nothing wrong with the service to our table, it was prompt. But when we were leaving the restaurant, the waitress was showing her boss the receipt with our tip amount and he commented to her: "good for you, good for you". Really?? This is how waitresses are shown how to get their tips at this establishment? Good honest service works better than a sob story! You lost any future business from this customer. Hope you read this Amy and your boss and make note that what you did was very offensive!
