Century Buffet was quite good before it closed for nearly a year to expand to a Mega Buffet. Selection was excellent, but not in the same league as the newer version. Staff was somewhat friendlier in the older incarnation, not that the new is rude or hostile. Living about 40 miles away near Stroudsburg, I have patronized this facility over 10 to 15 years, about 30 times (5 since reopening) and have not been short-changed. I also very much enjoy the smaller, much friendlier buffet in the WalMart/Sams Club shopping center on Route 248 at Route 33 (opposite Wegmans?) Their food is excellent, their service impeccable, and their honesty second-to-none. Several years ago, I lost a credit card and tried to retrace my steps to locate it, but to no avail. About 8 months later, on my next visit, as soon as I sat down the cashier approached me and said, "Did you know you left your credit card here on your last visit?" as she handed it to me. Where does one find THAT level of service in our not-so-Brave New World? When the excellent chinese food and ice cream buffet on Blakely Street next to I-81 at Dunmore closed, it was like the world had come to an and, but these two Easton area facilities have filled the void quite nicely, along with the newly-opened Hibachi Grille at Dickson City in the former Golden Corral, the tiny but delicious Chinese buffet in the Carbon Plaza near Lehighton and the Jumbo Buffet in Hazleton. If you get hungry on the a road trip, therse are three great alternatives.

They have some good stuff but they ruin it for me by being unreliable with other selections. They seem to use some of yesterdays repeats without even heating them in the oven for freshening up. When their pizza is freshly made its good but this time, it was leftover and NOT heated up. The buffet table does not heat leftovers and they wouldnt freshen them up anyway. If you spray the top and bottom of a leftover pizza, for ex., with water and oven heat it, aside from being cooked rather crisp, it tastes fresh enough, they dont bother doing that. The fried bananas were a reheat, not good, the fried chicken that goes with the sweet and sour chicken was a dry, hard not warmed, repeat. I dont eat a lot so there may be more that I did not taste. The things that were hot, I liked very much, but I felt and looked bad, discarding the cold repeats, I will think twice about a restaurant that forces you to waste your food that you pay for. They watch how much you take and give you the bill when they feel youve had enough, so these cold, stale things on your plate do count against you, which is not fair. I did like several things though, like fried shrimp, donut balls and ice cream, and they do fry stuff up for you, special order, if you go to the back grill. Have a tip ready for that, but its not req.. Another reviewer said that they were short changed 3 xs, so thats a risk for whatever reason, language barrier, deliberate, only God knows.

After a long time of not being there I went with a few friends to get some food. The selection was lacking considering it was a Chinese restaurant. There was nearly more American cuisine than Chinese. Not only that, the entire time it felt like there was someone hovering near our table. When we got our bill it got even stranger and felt like a highway robbery. The hostess went and grabbed our bills when we were done eating like normal. She then explained that it "doesnt include tip." I normally dont tip at places like this since I grab my own food. The only thing provided is the drink which I personally dont feel that is deserving of a tip. She stood there while we were near the end of our meal and she insisted that she takes our payment then and there instead of us going to the front to pay like normal. Then after she took our payment and got our receipts she stood there like a prison guard while we filled out our bill for a tip and signature. After feeling pressured I tipped $2.00. I will NOT be returning to this restaurant and I do not want any apologies as I will not be accepting them. This visit was absolutely unacceptable and the price alone isnt worth it anymore let alone being pressured to give a tip.

Food tasted like it was sitting out for a couple of days. The rice wasnt even in a cooker to retain moisture but instead it was layed out in the open waiting for the heat to dry it out . The stuff clams had no trace of clam in it. It looks like they took the dried out meatloaf and stuffed it into leftover clam shells. Every tray was also covered in plastic so that the food wont stick to the metal trays because it is so dried out. Update: later that day I want feeling well and I threw up. Must of Been the seafood I ate because I thought that I smelled a fishy and oily smell while eating clams. I would never recommend this place to anyone after all the problems this buffet had

Im from North Jersey and came this way for the casino. We decided to hit up a buffett before heading back to Jersey. We stopped at this place. I am honestly surprised about the good reviews. The food is clearly not fresh. It looks like its been sitting out for quite a while. I had some of the seafood and it was cold, although it was sitting under the lights for god knows how long. I am terrified that I will get food poisoning. I guess I am just spoiled with good chinese food, being so close to NYC, but this place was seriously discusting. On the plus side, the place was not busy and the staff was friendly. Eat at your own risk!

Sushi and buffet was average. Hibachi was good and the selection was nice. They have a big salad bar and more fruit then other places around. I didnt try their seafood but there seemed a good selection. The quality of food wasnt anything to rave about. Not bad but not great. Just okay. Price was normal too for a dinner buffet. Dont think Ill stop by unless Im craving Chinese and happen to be over that way again. Staff was nice, so no complaints. Very average.

I do not like this restaurant at all. it is horrible in every sense. it stinks. First of all they stare at you as if you have walked in a zoo. They do not welcome you. Give your bill early , to tell you to get out of here. Enough is enough. in general you dont get your moneys worth. it is cold food, even the fried onion rings and french fri

味道还行,美式改良中餐为主,老美挺多。最省钱的吃法是不吃早饭扶着墙进去,大吃一顿扶着墙出来,晚饭也省了。

They have an excellent selection at the salad bar. On Sunday mornings, they offer oysters on the half shell. A large variety of entrees. A large variety of fruits. The service is exceptionally friendly in a clean and comfortable environment. I highly recommend this restaurant.
