BAD SERVICE, NOT GOOD FOOD. I am Korean, grew up in Philadelphia, travel every week for my job and go to a lot of korean restaurants through out the country. The food 3 out of 10. The service 2 out of 10. The price 5 out of 10. Service is what I do not like most of all and I will not be going back. There were two groups when I stopped by to get some food on my way home from DC. I was hungry and wanted a quick bite to eat. One table of 2, another table of 4 already eating. I thought I would get in and get out. After I was seated by the server, I sat there for 15 mins without any acknowledgement from the staff. The staff is mainly one person (I assume the owner). She even seated another couple and checked out a takeout order and still no acknowledgment. She wasnt that busy either and Ive been there in the past by my self and she will disappear for 30 mins. Ive eaten there in the past, the kimchi is subpar (2 out of 10), the soups are not that good (3 out of 10), but when you get the choices of McDonalds or subpar Korean, Ill choose the latter. The prices are a little high, especially for not so fresh pon-chan, but Ill give them a little credit since they are not a busy restaurant thus cant make fresh food all the time. I dont usually write bad reviews, but I think that this was warranted since I went home hungry, a little angry, and frustrated. If youre going to go, have lots of time, order extra rice prior to the bowl getting to the half way point, and be prepared to have your water run out for 15 mins before it gets filled again. Again, the food is sub par but a quick fix if you really want korean. Id drive the extra miles to go to state college or anywhere else if I could.

This is some of the absolute best food in the area. The owner is friendly and always willing to help people pick out food if they arent familiar with the Korean menu. The food is always wonderfully spicy and full of flavor, but if you arent in to spice-hot they are more than willing to cool things down to any preference. The kimchi is fabulous, as are all the little random sides that come with every meal. The only reason I didnt give a the highest rating for service is that it can sometimes be a little slow when busy. The only employees are family, so it is sometimes hard for them to keep up. The quality of the food more than makes up for it though.

Amazing food! Great atmosphere, and you can even buy large containers of kimchi and other banchan. I highly recommend the bibim bap. Plenty of vegetarian (and vegan) options are available, but even meat-eaters will be particularly pleased as several of the dishes are literally piles of spicy meat (bulgogi is no joke! Super good!). Great service, and when you ask for "spicy" they will most certainly deliver-- the spice must flow. Dont be afraid to ask questions either, as they are great at recommending dishes that you are sure to love. And do not forget to eat that kimchi-- its the best Ive had so far.

Being from Philly, finding a good Asian place to eat at isnt as easy in Hershey/Harrisburg area. Came to Spring Garden restaurant to meet up with a friend for dinner and I have to admit it wasnt bad. We both ordered the soon dobu and to my surprise, it was decent. They brought the bonchon out and it tasted great. The place is BYOB which is a plus, the place is spacious and the staff was friendly, but the service was a bit slow. Ive already told the fiance that I would take him there to check out if he ever craved Korean while visiting me in the area.

What gets me is seeing this wonderful restaurant half empty on a Saturday night when there are waiting lines for bland food at the chains. This stuff is spicy, delicious, and different from the ordinary (unless youre Korean). The service is pleasant and helpful. If Korean food is an adventure for you, they will be happy to explain to you what to do with the various bowls and implements, and nobody will think less of you if you ask for a fork instead of chopsticks. Google "kimchi" before you go, and youre all set.

Absolutely horrible!!! First and foremost they didnt even ask if we ever wanted something to drink, then i kept finding what appeared to be pieces plastic. Couldnt complain to anyone because once the food was served they never came back to the table. The cook appeared to be the one who finally after 10 minutes of waiting checked us out. I Will never visit this so called restaurant nor would i ever recommend it to anyone

We came here for a friends birthday. Enjoyed yeh barbecue. Service was reasonable for a relatively large party. Due to limited familiarity with Korean cuisine, descriptions of some of the dishes in the menu would have been helpful. I would like to go again and try more dishes so I can provide a more-informed rating.

The food was pretty good, but the overall place itself was underwhelming. There seemed to be a lot of open containers just kind of lying around the kitchen area. The server/owner was brusque and efficient, which is fine, but doesnt really make one feel welcome.

Im really disappointed about going here. I read all the reviews thinking it was going to be great. Im korean, and grew up only eating korean food. Expensive for food that was awful, I would never recommend this place to anybody.

The experience is always good when I eat here. There arent many Korean restaurants in the area and this easily has the best selection and most consistent quality but its expensive. Had Galbi tang and as usual is was great.

Best Korean food youll find in the area. The meals start off with some appetizers, including kimchi. If you like spice - try the Jaeyook Dupbap, its terrific!! Fast lunch service, and the price is great!

Excellent food. Staff is friendly. Would eat here more often and give 5 stars, but for two lunches, a side of kimchi, and two cans of soda we paid $53.00!

Definitely one of my top 3 Korean meals ever. Context: This means a lot coming from a NY musician.
