Great atmosphere, great service, ok food. All dishes were under-salted (a chronic problem in the current culinary state of society) which neutered all of the natural flavors. We tried seven different entrées and while the textures were good, the flavors were far too subtle and the spicy dishes were overwhelmed with spice because of that. Hot tip: be sure to order hot fresh Naan, whether you want plain or garlic. The standing naan from the buffet is not the way to go.

We looked for places with good reviews close to downtown area. We walked in got seated right away with great customer service. The place is big and clean. They had a Vegan style Naan bread Roti that was amazing. Ordered a few different entrees with the rice and sort of got down with some bomb diggity food. Highly recommend this place to try it out. Good service for sure.

Five (5) vegan options daily. Busy during weekday lunch but worth the wait. The staff are friendly but quick. Good amount of food on the plate. I wish they used bio-containers instead of the plastic-ish ones, but that would be my only complainant. If you plan on eating at the location, there is additional seating in the upstairs area.

This place is the BOMB. Prices may appear steep but they give you enough food to last you two meals. The chutneys are free and some of the tastiest Ive ever had. Mean mango lassi, delectable naan...and if you love rice youve come to the right place cause MAN do they heap it on. And they are so very friendly.

Favorite Indian food in town. Good prices, casual atmosphere, quick service, INCREDIBLE FOOD. Simple, no-nonsense plates of rice, chicken curry, naan, and a side. Youre going to be in a Coma afterward, but Id say theres nothing better than the kind of food coma you get from such comforting food.

First time having East Indian food and it was okay. I tired a lot of different Indian food places but this didnt hit the spot at all but it was okay. Once you had amazing Indian food dont let it go. But I heard a lot of people love this place so I would say give it try it could be just me.

I eat here on a weekly basis. Their food is delicious. It feels really clean. Instead of doing a buffet, they scoop a nice portion of whatever you order for you. They have a gluten free alternative to naan made out of chickpeas. Lately there has been a long line for lunch.

I love the world food court that Gandhis is located inside of. Its basically food cart food (which I mean in a god way) plus a dry place to sit. I really enjoyed this food, and the lunch specials are unbeatable. They get quite busy at lunch, but I think its worth the wait.

The only knock is that this place is only open for grub during normal business hours on weekdays. The portions are huge making it a great value. Spicy really is spicy unlike most places in Portland. Service is always quick even if theres an apparently long line.

I love Indian food and always try to go dine at an Indian restaurant in every town I go. Gandhi was great as their chicken with spinach is perfect and the service was outstanding. They even fed me some off the menu stuff.....it was AWESOME!!!

Nice Ride
Terrible customer service and very rude old lady owner behind the counter. Refused to pack the food properly for takeout which caused the cold drink to spill. Worst of all, the shrimp curry we ordered were too sweet and hard, way overcooked.

Had never heard of it before but decided to try it. Was pleasantly surprised. All the dishes were delicious and authentic. Staff was friendly and helpful. Place was clean and organized. Would definitely go again and again

Chicken tikka masala is actually tikka! And if you ask for spicy they deliver without a over done peppery taste. Great service as well. Solid spot for some Indian food without being in Beaverton and crossing the 26 hwy

Simply one of my favorite Indian restaurants in the world. Quick, affordable, and delicious. Prefer the lunch buffet for cost, but will order out on the weekends. Love this place! Must try. The Vindaloo is amazing.

Great food, people, and atmosphere! I had the chicken Vindaloo and my wife had the Chicken Tikka Masala with garlic naan. Then we had the rice pudding and donut balls dipped in maple syrup. Highly recommend!

Dont worry, Gandhis will open again soon. The building remodel is well underway. Youll find the same great food at the same location with a whole new look. If all goes as planned, well see you in July.

Friend said this was hands down the best Indian food. It did not disappoint. Just re-opened recently, and gets a long line during lunch rush due to the popularity of the place.

Ordered online via Uber Eats. Showed up on time. Tandoori chicken was not really tandoori. It tasted ok, but was not cooked in tandoori style or masala. Good sized portions.

Quick and delicious! It may not be the most authentic Indian cuisine, but Dhillon stirs up a mean batch of makhani. If youve never tasted Gandhis, put it on your bucket list.

The food here was very good. The curry had great flavor. I would say its a little spendy for the quantity but the taste is superb.

One of the best Indian food in downtown Portland. Not very Americanized. Punjabi/Tandoori dishes are particularly delicious.
