Good Location and Decor. Average Food - Taste was just ok for the amount of $ they charge. Poor Poor Service. I am going to talk just about service here. Judy is the server. She asked us how many of you we said 5 and she said she will get the water. The way she brought water to our table was so bad she brought 3 glasses and almost dropped on the table. She said she will be back but she took 10min to come back. I looked around the restaurant was not busy at all. We ordered 2 glass of wine and she brought only one and vanished on us for another 6-7 minutes, we wanted to have a toast on the celebration and we couldnt because we had only one glass of wine sitting on the table. aaah I see her I asked politely can I get another glass of wine please we are waiting on it. She said yes sure and came back after 5 more minutes. We are already 20 min into restaurant and did finally started to drink wine. Then we ordered appetizers and main course. Food did not take much time to come to table but they brought plain naan instead of garlic Naan. We called Judy and asked her this does not look like garlic Naan and she was in denial mode first but then she agreed ya i guess I dont see garlic on it so may be its not garlic Naan. She took back the Naan we are now sitting with our curries and no Naan. She comes back after couple of minutes and she asks us whether we can adjust with plain naan today. we were surprised to here that. Making a garlic Naan at 8.00pm in a restaurant is not a big deal at all. We saw each other face and said its fine we will adjust with plain naan. We were finishing up our eating and there comes the garlic Naan. We were again dazzled with the kind of service we are receiving. She drops the garlic naan and says ohhh we made it anyways have it. We are almost done here we did not needed the garlic naan so late in the game at all. we were already frustrated with the kind of service and here comes the kicker. The check which comes with 18% gratuity. My wife being so frustrated decided not to give any tip but Judy the Server insisted on 18% tip and was giving explanation that she brought us a free naan so you are supposed to pay 18% tip, What a Joke.... Judy it was your mistake that you messes up our order, we did not ask for free stuff and please stop begging for tips. Tips are given by courtesy and out of satisfaction. Anyways we felt bad after not adding any tip and went back to Judy at counter and asked her to add the tip and the reply from Judy was awesome. We: "Hi Judy. Its fine we did not mean to give you no tip, so please add yourself a tip of 18%" Judy: (with attitude), Yeah sure I was wondering why you did not add any tip earlier. I hope Moksha Management looks at this review and have a word with Judy.

Since this is a new indian restaurant in Bellevue downtown, we thought about giving it a try. We went there in a group of 14 and had pretty bad experience with their service. The taste of food was good, but service was poor. Details are described below 1. The restaurant has a capacity of around 70-75 people, but they dont have enough staff to scale above 15 customers. Once they get > 15 customers, the staff will take hours to serve your order. 2. We ordered drinks - had to remind the waitress a couple of times. Our drinks came after 20 mins. In my drink - which was about 5.5$ worth, they had put 75% ice and only 25% juice. What the heck? That looked pretty cheap tactic to make money. 3. We ordered a couple of appetizers, which took ages to come. She brought them after nearly 45 mins and the quantity was very little. We ordered 6 appetizers and wasnt enough to serve 12 people. After this horrible wait, we couldnt gather courage to order more :-). 4. Our order of main-course arrived pretty late. The lady bought curries first, without naans/breads. We had to wait for > 5mins for naan and by that time the curries lost their heat. They really need to work on their service. Also the restaurant is too pricey and quantity of food is not enough. Only positive points are - good taste and location (bellevue square mall).

We came to Moksha on a Seahawks game day (9/11/16) and were pleased to have the entire restaurant to ourselves for the most part. We both remarked how lovely the inside of the restaurant is, with huge ceilings and ornamental decoration. The entrance off Bellevue Way is very classy and clean; the doors were open on the afternoon we were there and made the atmosphere very clean and refreshing. The food itself was perfect, promptly being described by my Indo-Caribbean wife as the best Indian food shes had in the US since coming here over a year ago. We wisely made one of our meals a Thali platter so we could enjoy the various dips, such as daal. My plain naan was succulent and my chicken biriyani was the best Ive tasted since being overseas myself. The service was beyond compare. Our server Jessie was great, being attentive without being annoying and even offering us the use of the empty bar to watch the game. As we prepared to leave, we asked for another naan to go with our leftover saag and were given (much to our surprise once we unpacked later at home) two free somosas in addition to the generous-sized naan we had requested. Beat that! Well definitely be back.

Never go here on a Friday evening or any eve for that matter if you have a veggie preference. Waiters who have no knowledge of Indian cuisine and cannot take any special requests. He said they ran out of dinner plates for the main course and brought appetizer plates. Limited vegetarian options. Naan, Kulcha and Alu paratha - stay away from them . Too done to almost burnt and stiff or underdone with soggy insides. Timing is bad. They bring appetizers and main course at same time. Guess what? the bread gets cold and more stiff!. What was that paneer kofta all about - deep fried in some shell: insides a tasteless mush with stock creamy gravy. Not sure if veggie biryani used long grain Basmati. Cocktails- asked for an old fashioned and you get a Manhattan. And the waiter had to be educated on what an old fashioned is! To attain Moksha, I had make a proper paneer kofta at home the next day! All in all a very poor representation of Indian cuisine. Take home point - a well packaged exterior ( that paper lamp at entry with a big phallic sign was hilarious!) in a ritzy Bellevue Square does not equal down home cooking in those smaller less glamorous Indian joints.

The food was fantastic absolutely on the money. So why 3 stars?? The service was awful - we had a waiter who just didnt shut up, answered all his own questions, interrupted us at every moment, leant over us when serving, continued to step on my foot any time he got close to our table and I have small feet!! He was a burger and beer kind of waiter and not restaurant of this caliber! On top of that we hadnt completed the order when we wanted to make a change to the starters he had already sent them through to the kitchen and told us to hurry up! We got our starters and as I say the food was top quality you just could not fault it BUT no sooner had we got our starters our main courses were coming out!!!! WTF is that all about??? So I would recommend this restaurant for the food without a doubt but when you walk in anf get a tallish yerrrrrhaaaa south talking gent who just doesnt shut up either walk out and come back another time or risk asking for another server, thats what Im going to do cause the food is really that good just the muppet who served it let the whole experience down! Real shame!
