Worst dining experience of my life. Did i wander into a weird alternate reality the rest of the reviewers didnt go into? 45 mins to get almost cold food. There were only 4 other people eating. Two guys waited an hour and never got their food, it was forgotten. A fifth diner apparently came back to get his food because it took so long he went to do other errands in the meantime. Rice was watery, food was incredibly small portions. A couple next to us also waited at least 40 mins for food. I left more hungry than when i went in. Food was tasty for the most part, but honestly Tasty Bites brand instant indian food is almost as good as this was, and those things arent great. Server dropped all the food off and didnt tell me and the person i was dining with which plates were what, and for which person. We had to guess and ask the owner what was what. Our "check" was the owner calling out the price to us from across the restaurant and having us walk up and pay. No itemized receipt. No water until we asked for it. Food was served on a weird metal tray with different compartments, like a prison or school cafeteria tray. The only good thing about the food not being even close to hot was that I had waited so long, and was so hungry, it enabled me to eat it quickly. I will probably never again step foot in this place unless Maruti magically came back.

We went to Mount Shasta in August with our parents who are visiting us from India. It was my Father in laws birthday and my husband and I wanted to surprise him with Indian food for dinner in Shasta. We looked up online and found this place. The owner is an ex Lufthansa employee who moved to Shasta from bay area. It feels like a family run restaurant as service tend to become really slow if there are more customers. However our overall experience was quite pleasant after the crowd thinned out. The quality of food was really good although the quantity was lesser than most of the Indian restaurants. We ordered some appetizers (chaat etc) and then a couple of dishes (saag, bhindi and dal) a la carte since they did not have everything mentioned on their online menu available. Our parents enjoyed each and every dish but what floored them the most was the conversation with the owner. He knew it was my father in laws birthday (as I had told him on the phone) so once he got time on his hand - he was quite attentive to us which was very well received by our family. He then offered the dessert (gulab jamun) on the house for papas birthday. Overall - we enjoyed our time there - the food and the conversation. We will sure visit this place again when we are in the vicinity next.

Had been wanting a good Indian meal for some time, stumbled in the welcoming doors of Hari Om Shri Ram, to find lovely artwork on the walls and a beautiful space, to sit at a table beside a window looking out upon their large outdoor patio, over which a majestic maple tree gently bends. The water was in pure copper pitchers, the service was timely-despite the very busy night they were having- and the food was Incredible; perfectly spiced, with homemade naan hot out of the oven, and large portions of mouthwatering (& for us vegan) vegetable korma, basmati rice, lentils, etc, etc; we immediately ordered a second serving to share and it was out at our table in minutes. The beer was excellent-I now recommend the Kingfisher- and the service and host were attentive, warm and friendly. We were hugging out farewells and thank-yous by the end of the night. Truly a special place, and one I highly recommend. Enjoy!

Pradeep & Dr. Radha, who both hail from Indias large cities, opened this authentic Indian restaurant 2016-Oct in the heart of Mount Shasta to replace Marutis that was there before. The atmosphere is completely and compellingly different, as they are very personable. They have previously run a successful restaurant in Redding, California. For lunch, they open at 11:30 - 15:00 (3 PM) and to go boxes are available. Later, at 5 PM to 9 PM they open for dinner (To Go also available). Different dietary regimes are catered to with carefully selected ingredients. Pradeep is a botanist, and wife Radha is an endocrinoligist, so they understand diet and nutrition. Just explain your needs to them, and they will accommodate. Catering is also available. The west side of the restaurant may be used for small meetings. A large patio will accommodate up to 50 guests in summer.

The food is delicious! Had the chana masala (chickpeas) and dal (lentils) for dinner and the flavor was great, the food seemed super healthy and I appreciated that it wasnt greasy. Lunch to go boxes are $8 for the vegetarian/vegan option of the day, or $10 for the meat entree (you omnivores missing the meat from Maruti would appreciate that). Dine-in (for dinner only) is about $4 more. Theyre still working out the kinks a little bit (come after 12pm to be safe, since the owner has to drive from Redding every morning for now) and waiting for their liquor license, but the owner Peter is very friendly and accommodating. I would consider this a soft opening phase and theyll probably have everything all smoothed out in a couple of weeks. All things considered, theyre off to a promising start! Im just glad we have another good restaurant choice now.

Our group of seven had a wonderful meal today! The restaurant has a peaceful and warm feeling. The owner treated us like family and made sure we were happy with everything he served. I could tell our needs were his number one priority! The food was hot and very tasty!! This was my 2nd visit and after my first visit I couldnt wait to return. I ordered the mango chicken and the sauce was delicious and the chicken was incredibly tender. The chai tea was wonderful and the owner explained how they crushed their own spices to create the best flavors possible! I am so happy you wonderful people have opened this incredible restaurant! Great meal ....exceptionally friendly/ warm family. I cant wait to return !! The owner offered hugs to our whole group as we were leaving.... How many restaurants do you know that offer farewell hugs?? Love it!!!! Molly

I am a foodie through and through. I live 2 and a half hours away and I will drive the distance to have this experience. Its not just delectable food, its the energy and intentions that make the food spectacular. The owner is a ball of love and light and energy, and his aim is to give you healthy food made with love, and fill your heart with love. They grow their own herbs and get local, organic ingredients whenever possible (over 70% organic!). The chicken Tikka Masala thali is OUTSTANDING, and tastes the freshest Ive ever had. If you have the privilege to eat here, the mint smoothies are a must! Fresh picked mint grown on site, lemon, ginger, and honey, just lovely. This is no hoax, see for yourself! Infinitely grateful for an authentic, health and spirit contiencious space to enjoy life force made with the best intentions.

It was like going to a friend or relatives house to eat. The owner was extremely warm and friendly, and the food was absolutely delicious. He kept feeding me without charge, making sure I didnt leave until I was full. He gave me extra bread, rice, dhal, and included okra in my vegetable thali despite it not being part of the dish, because I mentioned to him prior to ordering I liked okra - all free of charge. He even sent me home with a serving size of food equal to what I ordered, again no charge! And the serving size of my first dish was big as it was. In addition, I barely had to wait at all for my food after ordering. I left feeling full, completely satisfied, and definitely will be eating here again, and again. My favorite restaurant in Mt. Shasta area hands down.
