We have lived in north plains for a few years now the rogue has always been a place to go with the family for a meal or a night out. since they closed and reopened with new owners awhile back we have been in twice. once for breakfast which food was cold and service not great. we decided to go again for a lunch/dinner with some friends. WORST food and service of all time. we ordered never got our drinks had to ask for them. then our food came they are frozen over cooked patties elephant garlic burger used to need LOTS of napkins due to all the yummy stuff these were not that way. never got refills on drinks. and to make it even worse she rewrote our ticket never writing out all the info so my husbands food never came. such bad service never had the chance to ask till we asked for our check then she realized he had no food. they quickly making it(wrong) and we took it to go. it took about 20 mintutes for her to figure out our bill and we needed the check split ha what a joke we ended up just paying for it all just to get out of there. I do hope the new owners reconsider who they have hired and move on.......

I recently took a job in Hillsboro, OR. Ive been checking out the small towns in the area looking for a place to live. I stopped by the Rogue Brew Pub after house hunting for a quiet beer and dinner. The waitress couldnt believe my age when she saw my ID so she asked for it again after taking my beer order. Then she and the bartender spent 5 minutes trying to scan the code on the ID with an iPad to make sure it was legitimate. Meanwhile, I was still waiting for my beer and no food order was ever taken. I was quite literally one of only 4 other people in the place at 7pm for dinner. I told them to forget it and I got my ID back and left. Its ridiculous both the bartender and the waitress couldnt trust my Oregon State drivers license. Its pathetic really. I guess they didnt need my business and they wont be getting it again. I went instead to the McMenamins Cornelius Pass Roadhouse where they didnt even ask for ID for my beer order. Dont bother with this place: pathetic, weak and insulting service.

We went here before and it was great ... But a couple days ago we went for breakfast and it was so bad that we just pushed the food aside. My chicken fried steak was so hard I could not cut it with a fork and knife. I had to break a piece off by chiseling it with a knife like an ice pick to a block of ice. The potatoes were inedible. I think they might have been from the say before or something because they were cold and had a nasty texture. My wifes omlet had something inexplicably hard in it. The whole experience was just weird. To their credit, we were the only customers and when we tried to pay, the woman looked at our full plates of uneaten food and refused our money. She also got very upset though and so if was awkward. She asked what was wrong and I said I did not want to complain and that I did not mind paying ... So ... As I said ... It was awkward. We left a big tip and ran out of there. Maybe it was just an off day or something, but tuck!

Ive come here a couple times while I wait for my car to get worked on. Good drinks, inexpensive, good food, great staff. Living in Portland I didnt expect a whole lot from a small town bar but I was really impressed with the service and kindness. I asked if playing pool was free and they said no, I emptied out my change this morning so I just went and sat down, the bar tender came up to me and gave me .50 to play a game. When I was finishing I was approached by an older man who asked if I wanted to play a game with him. It was a wonderful way to kill time. 21 year old dread lock hippy chick covered in tattoos and an older man, having a great time playing a game, doesnt happen at every bar. Ill always go back when my car is getting work done or if Im ever in the area! Thanks so much!

Ate there on Feb 21st 2014, I used o love the food here but after this last meal I wont be returning. Everyone in our party had the same complaint, "I could make better at home" and when I go out to eat it cause I expect better then I can make food. the elephant garlic burger I had was bland, the Philly cheese steak my mom had was over seasoned, and overcooked, my brothers heartstopper was only heart stopping in its average taste. We live down the road and before this new owner the food was much better. The service was also poor compared to how it used to be. Our waitress never asked us how our food was, and never stopped by to check on us till we asked for the check (there were 5people on staff and only 3tables with customers). Its sad to say but stay away anymore

This place committed fraud ... I order a childrens cheese burger order over the phone call in order for my son and my self. They charge me adult burger price ...when i talk to the girl who charge my card they said the burger was no longer on the menu and they needed to update there site...well 5 months last its still on the site ... im going to the better business Bureau and reporting this .. bait and switch. UPDATE:3/16 FINALLY the children menu was updated ...and no I did not make an error ...even your staff had stated you need to update your menu online and they would talk to the owner ... but still charge me full even after i showed them ...that is called bait and switch ...

I came here for lunch and got the bacon burger. The misses got the rogue rueben. We both agree that the food was good, the fries could use some work but still werent bad. The atmosphere here is great and we got good service. Also, if you like Rogue, they have quite a few of their beers on tap and sell some that you cant get at your local Safeway to take home. This isnt a 5 star restaurant, but it isnt trying to be. This is more of a bar thats trying to also be a restaurant, and I like that.

Service was absolutely awful and basically non-existent. It was a Saturday night at the height of dinnertime with only one other table occupied. I sat there for 20 minutes with no menu, no drinks, nothing. I made myself known to the wait staff but they basically ignored me. After all that time, trying to make eye contact and get any kind of service, I gave up, got up, and left. Is a small place, they all saw me leave and didnt care one bit. They just stood around chatting. Oh well.

Found this place at the tail end of a couple day bike ride so in my opinion the food was awesome although that might have been the fatigue speaking. Service wasnt very good, there was a kid who didnt seem like he worked there helping and he didnt show up very often, also there were flies buzzing all around the doorway to the patio. Id recommend this place if youre exploring the countryside and need a modest bite to eat but I certainly wouldnt go here for dinner on purpose.
