The beer was good and the prices were pretty normal for a brew pub. The food was pretty good but I feel like the cost is pretty expensive especially considering you are in a remote city and dont have to pay the high rent of being in a large city (or even coastal tourist town), you order, pick up, and bus your own food and dishes (read: metal platter) as well. Food service is walk up, order, and take a pager device. I sat inside and it was pretty loud as they were brewing and/or cleaning out the tanks inside the building, it was rather annoying and doesnt make for a pleasant eating experience. I was relieved to rush eating my meal and get back outside where it was much quieter. It would be nice if they at least had a Plexiglas wall to buffer the dining room from the brewery. They have a couple televisions which can be convenient for those occasional sports games, there is outdoor seating in the front, however there is no wireless internet so dont expect to connect if you go here. Id say larger groups could be accommodated here if you get creative and dont need everybody sitting together.

Decent food, but GREAT beers. They serve some extremely well made beers here. So good that if you are at all a craft beer fan this place is a must visit if youre in Tillamook. I tried all three of their IPA offerings, and I can wholeheartedly recommend them all. My favorite was the Beak Breaker. A surprisingly light and clean double IPA. For dinner I had the tri-tip sandwich (which I knew was a risky choice close to closing time on a Monday). The tri-tip was tough, the blue cheese spread, which should have given the sandwich some flavor and character was bland, and the onion strings were practically black. The fries, however, were amazing. Light and crispy, and tasted great. The staff was very friendly (even the brewery employees who came out to the bar after their shift). Overall, Id definitely try this place again. In fact, I would go out of my way to come back just for the beers.

Over the years, I have visited Pelican Bays original location in Pacific City and have enjoyed their beer, grub, and gorgeous seaside location. I bark a little about the high prices, but, hey, you are ON THE BEACH here, right?? So now my first visit to their downtown Tillamook location, and.....meh. Nice folks, decent food, quality brews (the Father of All Tsunamis Imperial Stout was special)....but zero atmosphere in this industrial cinder block building. NO BEACH!! In that context, the prices are ridiculous. My friends filafel plate was average, and our compatriots burgers were.....meh. Pub grub. Way overpriced! (If food is not your aim, btw, lock in your maps app to DeGarde Brewery a couple of miles south near the Air Museum. The wild-yeast farmhouse ales really deliver and the pretzels are free...)

Pretty good food, I enjoyed the "Spicy Burger", but the prices are a bit steep. $43 bucks for two burgers and some fish and chips, not outrageous, but I felt that was more than it was worth. The aspect of this place that I really hated was the expectation of a tip. You stand in line to order your food at the counter, you pickup your food from the grill when it is done, and you bus your own table when you are finished. When you pay (assuming you arent paying cash) your credit card receipt asks for a tip. What exactly am I tipping for? This ticks me off, I dont mind tipping a server, but there are no servers here, the customer does everything. Asking for a tip seems unreasonable.

This one star is only because the beer was good. The older guy with the salt and pepper hair should learn how to treat people. He made us feel rushed to order ( as you have to do it right there in the doorway and they dont have one paper menu that we could find) and he was rude. When my friend asked for a fork, he nodded over his shoulder and said "over there". Then when she went in that direction...he laughed at her. So rude! We drove in from town to unwind, only to be treated so rudely at the one place we chose to eat! Sad And...dont get their Tru tip tots...it has maybe 5 1/4" pieces if "Tru tip" on it.

Friends recommended this place and it didnt disappoint! My husband had a special of the day which was a chicken sandwich and he said it was surprisingly moist. I had the surf & turf burger (forget its actual name) with no bun and their side salad with apple vinaigrette. The patty was a little dry and suspiciously shapely, but Im just being nitpicky. The salad and dressing was GREAT! Not your average side salad, ingredients-wise. The hostesses (who apparently is from the town we live in :)) was very friendly and efficient. Only real downside and why Im giving 4 stars is their lack of seating.

We came here based on google ratings. Good food and good beer but the service is a joke. Self serve is stupid. If you want a refill of beer while your eating... expect to wait in line to order or just go without a drink. They dont even deliver your food to your table so if you have a large family you will be making trips to get your food. Very McDonalds type of thing. Its too bad because they are located in a prime area for tourists who after a long day at the beach would just like to dine in and be waited on... somewhat. We will never return.

Their fish & chips vaulted into the top 5 in the Tillmook Bay Area. Maybe #1. Beer selection has something for everyone. Great ambiance, almost feels out-of-step with the recuperative small town throwback vibe of downtown Tillamook. There are big screens here to watch the game, but the dining experience isnt contingent upon it. Those arent bad things. Theyre flavorful dashes of diversity. Hidden gem thats a pitch wedge shot from the 101. Sit back. Eat. Drink. Enjoy. Again and again.

The food and beer were both good but it took forever to get our food. One of the orders in our group was overlooked so they had to wait even longer. We were there for 2 hours just for simple meals (grilled cheese, fish tacos, etc.). The woman taking the orders was very quick and efficient but the guys making the food were pretty slow. Good place if youre not in a hurry and planning on hanging out for a while with a couple of beers.

Dissapointment. Noisy machinery, small seating area filled mostly with families and children playing shuffleboard. Stand in line to order then go back to pick your food up and bus your own table afterwards. Beer was not very cold and by the bottom of the glass I was drinking warm beer. The food was just okay. We dont plan on coming back and wouldnt recommend it.

My wife and I ordered the spicy burger, the loaded tater tots, and cheese curds. All of the food was great, however, The spicy fry sauce was extraordinary. The prices were a tad high. The beer was good. And the service was typical. I would recommend this place to friends and family. They have a small selection of shirts and water bottles available for tourists.

Why would I pay almost twice as much to fill my growler for what i can get for a six pack at the store? The tap taste isnt worth double. Also they wont let you fill your growler with limited stock beers, which again begs the question why bother buying it here when it is way cheaper in the store? I loved Pelican before this, but this was really a let down.
