Probably the best BLT Ive ever had. That being said, prepare to be disappointed with EVERYTHING ELSE. Im glad I went when I wasnt hungry, because Id probably have walked out. My party of four ordered three pizzas, said sandwich sweet potato fries and a brownie desert. My friends were very pleased with their pizzas; we did not finish the fries despite them showing up a good 40 minutes before our food. The sauce they came with was very good however. The service was awful, and the dining room was cramped. Another 20 minutes between our meal and desert passed because our waiter was being awfully social with some women at the bar. We only stayed because it was my friends birthday.Value was disappointing; had I been hungrier than I was, Id have been forced to eat the chips my sandwich was served with. I found them incredibly hard and over-seasoned. My accomplice asked for a side of ranch; and received one of course. Mayhaps its just me, but when spending $80 on a check; charging for a side of ranch seems a little trivial. Knocks the value down to disappointing. When it FINALLY came down to pay; more than two hours later, the bill couldnt be broken up properly. My two friends paid in cash; and our waiter shorted them. My friend had pulled more money out of her wallet, and our waiter said "Oh, wait, I gave you too much money" and walked away without returning her change. Due to this, he did not receive a tip from them. Im glad I paid with my card. They had some sort of mobile credit card machine, which was pretty nifty. I disliked how the tip was already added in on it; based on the service we received, we tipped too much. The chairs here suck, the service is awful, and youre going to be listening to everyone elses conversation. While the food is great, it wont make up for the disaster this business is.

I really wanted to like this restaurant. I had read some negative reviews, but had hoped that they were over-reactions and that the restaurant had corrected the issues listed in those reviews. Alas, there was more truth tho those reviews than I had hoped. Our party of 6 (4 adults, 2 children under 4 years old) was seated and there was only one other party in the restaurant. We ordered two pizzas (meat lovers and kids cheese), a works burger, a salmon sandwich, and a caesar salad. The server was nice and pleasant. The problem was not the server, but the kitchen. We waited for at least 40 minutes for our food, though the server kept checking on us and even brought out a bowl of chips so our starving kids could have something to snack on while the kitchen worked on our order. For being one of two tables in the restaurant, I think that 40 minutes is too long to wait for food. Once the food arrived, it was good. The one surprise that our group was not happy with was the sweet potato fries. They were WAY too spicy! Nowhere on the menu does it say that theyre spicy, our kids couldnt eat them, and we left most of them on our plates because they were too spicy. Im pretty sure the table next to us had the same complaint. It was a disappointing choice by the chef to make them spicy - they could have been very good without the spice. All in all, I really wanted to like this restaurant and I went away disappointed. I probably wont go back, and I wont recommend it to my friends.

This is a very unique little place with a lot of character. It features a huge wood fire heated oven that must be about 12 tall. The inside is cozy and warm with a fireplace and tons of cool art on the walls. The service is friendly and relaxed, in fact the entire place is relaxing in sort of a Zen way. I was driving so we didnt sample the brews but the lemonade was hand made and very tasty. We had 3 pizzas and a salad, the pizzas had ample toppings and were tasty. Very unique twists not just the normal pizza varieties. They are all 12" pizzas. Im a bit picky on pizza as I do make my own from scratch at home and I hesitate to give 5 stars as I have my personal preferences. On that note, the cooking stone surface seems like it needed to hotter, but everyone has their own style. Also it would be more economical if larger pizzas were available for my family to share. The salad was very tasty and dressings were house made. Fireworks is not obviously fast food and relax as your order will take a bit to be prepared. We had first went into a strip mall pizza place and it was sparsely decorated, sterile and cold feeling, prices were similar and the menu very limited. We walked out and went to Fireworks, everyone agreed it was much better choice.

I really wanted to love this place. Its cute and cozy, but the chairs are falling apart, their outdoor seating area is lined with cobwebs, and the service is bizarrely slow. They have these really cool stone-like booths in the outdoor area, but the tables at those booths are too short to feel comfortable. The foccacia breadsticks were delicious and the marinara sauce was really good. Our server never brought us napkins or silverware. We had to ask a different server. He took our order and we didnt see him again until after wed had our appetizers, a second round of drinks and our pizza was finished. He never came to ask if things were good. He let the expediter take care of us that whole time. The pizza was just ok. Way too over dusted. And we watched the pizza cooker burn five pizzas in a row and never turned any of them so each was burnt on one side. Ours came out burnt on one side and they obviously just broke off the burnt part. The bread pudding I had for dessert was dry as heck. So disappointing.

We dined here just this past week while traveling through. I had the hazlenut crusted halibut (cooked in the wood-fired oven) which was hands-down the best halibut I have ever had. The crust was crispy and the fish was super moist, so moist, it tasted almost like it had been poached. But it wasnt because I saw it go into the wood fire oven from my table. On the down side, the $4 dinner salad was the smallest, minimal salad I have ever received in a restaurant and definitely not worth the money. Also, at ~$25 for the halibut, the portion of vegetables was also extremely small and the "saffron" rice tasted more like rice a roni. My husband had a wood fired pizza which was OK. Bottom line, order the fish, pass on the house salad, and go somewhere else if you are really hungry. Also, the man at the table next to us ordered the ribs and was told by the waiter when he placed his order that it was a full rack of ribs. It wasnt, it was a half rack.

This is by far our favorite restaurant we have found yet! Not only are the ingredients almost always organic and of the highest quality, these guys source the abundance of their surroundings and support local farmers! The outside patio is an attraction itself with beautifully hand built cob walls and benches. Visit the amazing "Maya" an earthen goddess in whose belly the wood-fired eats are cooked up to perfection. We go out of our way to visit whenever possible and recommend Fireworks to all of our friends and family anytime they are passing through or visiting the Corvallis area. Thank you Intaba and Ocean for providing such a wonderful place and the best food of all time. Yes, some would consider the prices to be high - but when you think about all the places that just get their food in a box (pre-portioned and pre-made) from Sysco - ew... it is totally worth it!
