Worst experience Ive ever had at any establishment in Corvallis. Alex ( the manager) failed to recognize our presence as customers and failed to even say hello to acknowledge our presence after he asked us rudely where we were sitting. We stood in the entryway for ten minutes not knowing what was going on. Anyone who eats at restaurants know that the correct way to recognize customers is hello or well be right with you. The waitress, Jennifer, was extremely defensive and said she would corroborate with whatever Alexs story was without being present. She was not helpful in any way, the only bright spot was the bus boy who was polite enough to add our names to a waiting list. Not the host. Not the bartender. Not the manager. And not the waitress. I will be writing Brian Mcmenamin personally about this terrible experience. Alex deserves to be reprimanded for this and his staff. The lack of professionalism at this establishment was horrendous. I understand its busy, but this was unacceptable by any standards. Simply greeting your customer with hello makes all the difference.

I am a casual diner, I prefer to make my stuff at home. McMenamins is a place that you have to go to have a beer I guess. I dont imbibe so I am not one to enjoy the atmosphere of the place. When I went it was dark in there. Not dark like weird dark, but I mean dark. Dim lit. I have a hard time with vision at dawn/dusk but am fine when its actually dark out. I couldnt see very well and Im glad I didnt order much because I wouldnt have been able to tell what I was eating (maybe thats the point I dont know). Go with a flashlight on your hat or a keychain light, you may need it. Or maybe they added a dozen light fixtures and replaced the 5w bulbs with some 45s?

This is my favorite McMenamins pub. Conveniently in my own hometown! The cozy European pub style is great. Theyve got a fireplace, to keep cozy. Its quieter and less student-overrun than the newer Monroe St. location. As far as the beers go, McMenamins has a better selection of non-hoppy beers than many places in the Northwest, which keeps my fiance happy. In the winter, try the Nut Brown seasonal ale. Its the best McMenamins brew. You can even get it mixed with the Ruby (A "Nut-Rub" if you have the guts to order it.) I tend to hit the late night happy hour 10-midnight or close or whatever.

This building was formerly known as "The Tower of London" and was originally an English style fish n chip shop. Nowadays of course its McMenamins English style pub. If youve ever wanted to sit, relax and enjoy a pint or two in an old English pub then youll love this place. It is so authentic you could actually be in England. The service was excellent, very polite and friendly staff and the food is wonderful. If you live in the Corvallis area or youre passing through on your way to Portland then give this place a try, you definitely wont regret it. I recommend trying the Irish Stout on tap!

Overall, food is pretty standard to most other McMenamins chain restaurants...Pub food classics mixed in with some seasonal fusion asian and mexican. Brews on tap are seasonal and have variety. The low lit environment and decor gives the pub a different vibe than other options in Corvallis. One disappointment is that no matter what hour of the day you dine, service of food is consistently a good 30-40mins wait after ordering. Just be prepared for a long wait after being seated and ordering. Three stars is for the food and definitely not worth that long to wait for.

My black and Bleu bites were cold, although the fries were fine. I had to get up to get the server because she couldnt seem to see us trying to get her attention, even though she only had 2 tables at the time. She did manage to talk to the other employees at the bar just fine though. Couldnt get her attention for refills, or the bill, even though she stopped at the table directly next to us multiple times (when she got them as a third table). Just all around bad experience.

Normally love McMenamins, not this time. Went it on a slow Sunday for happy hour. Ordered a whiskey sour and they brought fizzy lemon water. Pointed out the mistake and the bartender added a splash of whiskey. Still tasted awful. Food took forever and was over cooked. Also requested grilled onions and got Bell Peppers. After we finished our food we waited 30min for our check while our server was on break. Beer was good. Ill visit other McMenamins again, but not this one.

A staple of Corvallis food. My favorite items are the cajun tots, the fish and chips, the Portland Dip, and the Hail Caesar. The atmosphere at both locations is great and all the employees are great. The manager of the Monroe location talked with us about whiskey for a long time, just cause he wanted to. Its always fun here. I am really upset they stopped making poutine though, it was the only place in town to get any and it was on par with Ive had in Canada.

Great hotel and easy walk to downtown Bend. It is a well appointed room and very clean. The food is excellent and the drinks are in abundant of varieties from beers, wines, ciders, bar selections to non-alcoholic. Friendly and gracious staff was found everywhere from the front desk to the breakfast table. The outdoor dinning is fun and the landscaped gardens delightful. It was a fun treat and I hope to go back soon.

Really enjoy their specials. They made a vietnamese style sandwich last summer with pickled daikon radish, pickled carrot and pickled onion, fresh cilantro, cucumbers, and a seasoned pork that was effing amazing. Their beer is pretty good and the drinks are strong. The great thing about this place is that its usually relatively quiet. So much better than the one near campus.. less people, less loud.

We sat at our table for 1 hour and 20 minutes after ordering. Our waiter walked by, looked at us, and said "oh, I thought so" then proceeded to take the orders of two other large parties before seeing where our food was. Finally, an hour and forty minutes after we ordered, our food arrived with no explanation. There is no excuse for this absolutely terrible service.

A very pleasant experience at Mcmenamins, the food was pretty good (standard pub fare so you know what to expect), but our server, Alex, made all the difference. They were extremely busy when I came in, but he was still prompt, courteous, and patient the entire time and didnt make us wait for him long at all. I will definitely be back!

Very cute place. We have been to several McMenamins and this one is in-line with the rest. We sat outside as it was a very nice day. The server was very new. Did a good job but couldnt answer some basic questions other customers had about the McMenamins brand, which was a little sad. Overall standard McMenamins, always good.

Very nice bartenders Edit: This location has dramatically excelled in their food the past year. Bathrooms are clean if small and sitting outside normally gets service just as quickly as inside. Beer is dependable and you will find the occasional barrel aged treat! I look forward to another year of happy visits.
