I had been meaning to check out the Block 15 brewery for quite some time after having several of their tasty beers show up on tap here and there around Portland. I finally made the trip, and was glad that I did. The atmosphere is pretty standard for a brewpub, nothing stood out as new or different, but the place felt comfortable, clean, and inviting; which is all I need. The quality of everything I had was really good. I tried a few different styles of beer, and felt they did an equally good job with each. Block 15 isnt a one trick pony. I came for lunch and the place wasnt very busy, so that may have added to my experience, but the bartender was really friendly and attentive, and glad to share her knowledge of their beers and menu; so I was happy with the service on my visit. The selection here was good, but it looked like I really miss-planned my trip. A lot of the more special beers from their brewers reserve and cellaring projects that I would have liked to try wouldnt be available until a few weeks later. To their credit, I knew this BEFORE I drove down, as their website is well maintained and up-to-date. I still gave high points for selection however. Although some of the bigger more complex beers werent available, there was a wide range of styles to choose from, ranging from a fantastic 10% imperial IPA, delicious stout, imperial wit, and many others. Theres plenty to choose from and something for everyone. They even had a delicious and somewhat hard to find guest tap that I had to try; a cask esb from brewers union local 180. I liked the food here. It was mostly standard pub-type fare, but there were some higher end options and everything that I saw come out of the kitchen looked tasty and the portions were all generous. I ordered the "brewers challenge burger". If you finish the burger and the sides that come with it, your first beer is free! I have a pretty big appetite, and easily beat the meal, but it wasnt that huge, and I think most hungry customers could do it. If you want to get filled up, and have a beer on the house, its a good option. The value here is about what I would have expected. I didnt think anything was cheap, but it certainly wasnt expensive either. While Id never mind paying less, block 15s prices seemed just about right. If it werent such a drive from Portland, Id go more often. Ill wait until theres something really special being released before I plan my next trip.

Service was great. Food was very good. Portions good and very reasonably priced. Great beer. Waiter was fantastic. Very friendly, but not overbearing. Gave me honest and straightforward recommendations on menu items. I ordered the alfredo pasta with chicken. Pasta is apparently made in-house, along with the sauce. I believe it. Tasted very good and great texture. Portion was just right and they didnt skimp on the chicken. Friend had a burger and really enjoyed it. Very juicy--almost too juicy. Ranch (tasted homemade) was great with the beer-battered fries. Will definitely return here again any time Im in Corvallis.

I only came for a beer, but their chocolate stout on nitro was AMAZING. I currently live in San Diego, so Ive had a lot of craft beer (and I homebrew, and I know a lot of people who homebrew), but this stout was hands down the best stout I have had yet. Not kidding. My boyfriend who has also been homebrewing for five to six years lauded it. Smooth but not too sweet, good body, great aftertaste. Dont remember the IBU or ABV, but very, very good. And the staff were very nice. We got a window-side table and just ordered beers, but there was no pressure or anything.

Just had lunch at Block 15, excellent food and amazing service. The staff are friendly and very patient, we felt relaxed and were not rushed at all. They have a huge choice of beers from Rye to Wheat and on through to a fantastic Dry Irish Stout, which Id recommend. Lunch is reasonably priced, we shared a portion of Magic Mushrooms (stuffed button mushrooms) with a side of Beer Basted Fries, a pint of Dry Irish Stout each and the whole thing came to $20 including tip. If youre passing through Corvallis its well worth checking out Block 15 Brewing Co.

Service was friendly. The regular hamburger left something to be desired. Not much to it for the price. The bun supported its contents w/o crumbling, but thats because i consumed it so quickly. Had I not, the runny juices (which were dripping all over my plate) would have saturated it into a soggy mess. The Booth table seemed like it needed sterilizing. Oily finger prints could be seen. I might be back, but will try other establishments before returning. *Addendum: the music was too raucous for 11am. Green Day was playing.

environmentally conscientious, good selection of beers, good selection of food at an appropriate value. The environment is always welcoming easy to relax in. I much enjoy drawing with chalk on the tables. They have more than just good burgers. Their seasonal specials are often delightful (as are their sweet potato fries). The place is pretty busy during dinner hours and can be quite the wait on weekends. Ive never had an issue if I plan to have dinner somewhat early or somewhat late on a Friday or Saturday.

What Can I say!!? I tasted my first craft beer here and absolutely fell in love with this place and the people. They always have at least 10 regulars and 5 + seasonal and few visiting brews on the tap!! Dont even get me to talk about their food and french fries!! Their french fries are the one of the kind in savoring the deviousness and must try them with the spicy ranch they make in house! if you are new to Corvallis or visiting you must try this place! Drink their Brews and Much their food!!!

I came in for lunch, and after sitting there for half an hour, they forgot my order. No one checked on me.....and I was sitting at the bar. Other people arrived, ordered, and got served while I still sat there with only my water. Finally when the newly arrived couple next to me got served, I got up to leave. The bartender girls rudlely apologized acting like as if I was being a whiney customer... Yeah. Thanks for that. Total rubbish

Block 15 has changed the past few years. Food is good quality but menu never seems to change. Beers have gotten extremely hoppy and/or sour recently. Neither is a problem on its own, but makes it harder to enjoy the food when it tastes like youre drinking pine needles or your face is constantly puckering. Usually hard to find a normal easy drinking beer. Id also recommend the Block 15 in South town. Same kind of beers but the food is better.

Ive had mixed experiences at Block 15. Their beers are typically good and they have been wonderful on their accommodation of food allergies. Sometimes their food is spot on and other times you get a burger swimming in grease with a disintegrating bun. Id still give it 4 stars because regardless of the times that my meal hasnt been perfect the staff has been great and I always seem to find myself returning.

Visited the night after Dads Day football game. Place was packed, every seat at bar taken. We were seated outside at a picnic table and enjoyed the cask brew. Perfect brew, perfect evening. Nice to be able to enjoy a brew outdoors without being penned in like a farm animal. At most places, outdoor service is less than attentive. Here, however, server was very friendly, prompt and helpful. Loved it!
