We came, we sought and were blown away with this Cannon Beach gem. If you exceed the speed limit, youll miss it, your loss! As with the other high-end eaterys in Cannon beach we suggest a reservation due to the popularity at this French-Italian room. The only difficulty was choosing which main to have. I had the Chicken Marsala and my girl had the Carmalized Onion Goat Cheese Ravioli. We couldnt stop moaning with every bite frpm the perfectly presented plates. Two notes of a personal nature: This is not Chucky Cheese; your children probably wont find anything on the menu, and please, if you must wear a hat, have some respect and take it off! We sat kiddy corner from a guy that was to-cool-for-school. Truly an exceptional dinning experience, highly recommended.

Ive been to this place three times, each visit with a party of 6. Each time it has been very good. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. The staff was also willing to prepare special items for my young daughter who has a finicky palate. The food selection is broad considering how small the place is, with a reasonable salad selection and probably 10 entrees from which to choose. The wine list is small (probably 20 bottles of red) but Ive always been able to find something nice. (Last night had Penner-Ash Pinot and Leonetti Merlot) Overall in Cannon Beach I like this place and the Bistro the best. Warning: the place is very small and struggles with larger groups. Make reservations!

Fantastic place. This is what fine dining is all about: delicious food, nice wines, and excellent, knowledgeable staff. This was our second time at the restaurant and would highly recommend the prix fixe menu with wine pairings. The courses were soup, salad, filet mignonette with foie gras, and crime brûlée and chocolate pot de creme. Each dish was absolutely wonderful but also contained something thoughtful. As someone with broad travel and extensive dining experience I would compare this restaurant as one of the best I have been to anywhere in the world. We will definitely be back.

Terrific. Had the "Chefs pirx", which was a fabulous pairing of excellent food and wine. The main entree was a perfectly done halibut filet with polenta and a sauce with mushrooms that just exploded in bursts of delicious flavor. The service was great. My wife and the butternut squash ravioli and thoroughly enjoyed it. We definitely got our moneys worth! We got reservations, but didnt need them due to off-season Friday night. I would get reservations for sure if youre on-season or on a Sat/Sun.

If you ever been in good and expensive restaurant then its definitely not the place to go. Got reservation on 2nd floor, but never made it there for some reasons, all cooks is cooking without any head bands or hats, service not impressive at all, food was cooked not even close the way we asked and warm and size of meals are very very small, so dont waste your time and money there and there is NO place for kids.

After reading so many wonderful reviews, I was very disappointed with this restaurant. We waited an hour and 45 minutes for our dinner and it came barely warm with cold bites even. No explanation, but a sorry and a dessert comp. It was very pricey for small portions. There were two other tables seated after us and they were finished and leaving when our dinner finally arrived. No plans to return.

Absolutely fabulous dinner here twice in one week. Friendly service - loved Max, Wendy and Jennifer. Quaint atmosphere. Wonderful, flavorful traditional food made in-house featuring local ingredients. Everything cooked perfectly - not over or under done. Many options and chef was very accommodating with diet restrictions. Great wine selection. Strongly recommend making reservations.

Newmans is fantastic. We were so pleasantly surprised by this upscale dining experience. The food was unbelievable (especially the crab cakes), the atmosphere was perfect, and the service was as friendly and efficient as we could wish. We cant wait to come back, and well be recommending this place again and again to everyone we know.

Four course meal recommended. Squash potato soup followed by amazing salad. The petite filet was cooked to perfection. Polenta blended with the carrots and potatoes and the dessert was magnificent. All the flavors were paired perfectly with one another. It never hurts to have a true chef do the cooking. You will not be disappointed!

The food was amazing. Let me say it again the food was amazing. The place is small and they have no high chairs, but if you love food it is worth it. In Cannon Beach people go out to eat dinner at 7. The town is full of people on vacation going out to eat. If you are worried about it being crowded go earlier. Enjoy.

Excellent food! The salmon was some of the best I ever had. Portion sizes were very reasonable (read: not ridiculously American sized). My date and I split an appetizer, each had our own entree and our own dessert, and left feeling just-right full, not busting at the seams. Service was prompt and very friendly.

Everything about this place is amazing! I just happened to be passing through Cannon Beach and wanted a really great meal. The Chicken Marsala was unbelievable. Only my grandma cooks that good. We are headed back in two weeks just for that dish!

Had reservation, Food is great very hot, not necessarily the best presentation. service was inattentive, brought one slice of bread, had to ask for another. Had to ask for water. They used the same towel to wipe wine bottles and dry the silverware.

Ate dinner here with a friend. Quirky and cosy (not small, not large, just right). It appears as if its someone house and reminded me of this style in some Spanish countries. The food was good. Wait staff were attentive. Resisted dessert.

This place offers the best fine dining experience in all of Cannon Beach and could easily hold its own anywhere else! The service is wonderful and the food is truly exquisite. Make reservations early because it gets full!

Absolutely amazing!! Best food and service weve experienced. Waitress was extremely attentive and knowledgeable of menu. Really small, so make a reservation. You wont regret it. Will definitely go back!

We loved this place. The food was so good. The prices are not bad at all for what you are getting, and you are getting premium cuisine. My wife and I went for our anniversary, and were very happy we did.

A bit of a disappointment: satisfactory, but not first-rate, the same vegetables for every entre, uninspired desserts. A better choice, though more expensive, is the restaurant at the Stephanie Inn.

I went because it was close to our hotel. I was so impressed with everything we went again the next night! I only wish they were in Portland so I could eat there more often. Seriously, eat here.

Respectful use of regional ingredients. Small kitchen, thoughtful menu...this kitchen cares about what they put out...not a tourist trap/ slap dash place...seek it out and be delighted.

Amazing little gem in an unassuming yellow house. You could easily miss it walking by, but then you would miss out on excellent French cuisine. Every dish I have tried was delicious.
